I received a free sample of this in the mail from L'oreal. Because it claims to be 72 hour moisturizing, I was afraid that it would leave my face feeling moist and greasy, and that it would be thick to apply. I was wrong about all of these counts. It was a lightweight formula, more of a gel than a facial lotion or cream. It applied matte on my oily skin, and smells slightly earthy due to the aloe vera. However, I wouldn't quite claim that it's a 72 hour formula because if anything, I found that it was slightly drying. Not that this is bad, because with very oily skin you want something that leaves your face not feeling oily, and that's what I like about this formula. -

Let me start off by saying that I'm no stranger to protein bars. My best friend's body builder parents used to feed them to us like candy bars while growing up. This protein bar smells good (like berries and chocolate) but has the texture of powder and tastes disgusting. I even tried to pawn off the bar to my coworkers and no one liked it. They all took one bite and told me how gross it tasted. Would not recommend. -

My skin type has developed from normal to combination that falls a bit more on the oily side. Finding a new foundation that works with my newly oily skin has become my greatest challenge. L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation is a bit pricier than your other drugstore foundations, but at an average $16CAD price tag, it's still a heck of a lot cheaper than trying a higher-end foundation.
The consistency is runny, but not quite thick either. It falls right in between. The application is definitely matte, but I would not recommend for dry skinned individuals. Because of it's matte finish, it is excellent for oily skin because you want to tone down shine. For drier skin, it will emphasize the dryness and tends to cling onto dry patches. I've noted this whenever I have dry acne scabs that are trying to heal. With my oily skin, I find that it lasts a very long time and you can definitely prolong the wear time by spritzing on a setting spray. The product not only applies matte, but also with a medium and buildable finish that looks natural and not at all cakey on my skin. It has a very lightweight formula that I very much enjoy. Because of it's medium coverage, I would recommend pairing with a good concealer for maximum coverage of any red areas.
Application definitely varies depending on the tools that you are using. I find that the product did not spread very well on my face with my Real Techniques sponge, but it spreads and blends fantastic with my Ecotools Complexion Buffer brush. You can also further blend in the product after using a brush by using a blending sponge, but I find that my brush works fantastic alone.
In all, I really enjoyed this product and I think this is my new go-to drugstore foundation.

Really yummy, fantastic on toast or inside of a peanut butter sandwich. However, not as healthy as it's cracked up to be. Remember: it is "part" of a healthy breakfast, not the healthy part of breakfast! Remember to always read the nutrition guide!... +

Remember: it is "part" of a healthy breakfast, not the healthy part of breakfast! Remember to always read the nutrition guide! Commercials will always have borderline truth, so disregard the commercials advertising this as a healthy breakfast spread. It's got 12g of fat in a 2Tbsp serving. One serving size has 5.5tsp of sugar in it. Delicious, but evil. -

I had give up on dry shampoos. I've only tried 2 different brands but they never seemed to work for me. In the past, on day two of not washing my hair I'd spray my hair with a dry shampoo, brush it, and go on my way.. only to discover after a couple hours that it looked oily all over again. I needed a product that would actually last me all day (or at least more than a couple hours! I'd like to get through a shift at work without looking greasy and gross!). I was really surprised that Batiste dry shampoo actually met my expectations! I checked back after a couple hours to look at my hair, and it didn't look oily, but rather clean instead! At the end of the day I looked again, and it still looks clean and fresh instead of oily! I'm really glad that I gave dry shampoo another chance, and I'm glad to say that this product will be used as a staple product for me in the future!!
*I received my bottle of Batiste Dry Shampoo Lotus from Chick Advisor free for testing purposes.

I've been wearing this product for about a month now, and I was very skeptical of the product at first. I've got combination skin that tends to fall on the oily side. My cheeks are my problem area, and at the end of the day it usually looks makeup free because the oil has made all my makeup come off. I tried this product for a few days paired with a primer, but I found that it still didn't hold throughout the day. However, I ran out of primer and was too busy to buy more, and I noticed an incredible difference: for the first time ever, all of my makeup stayed on my face throughout the day! Works best when I blot at least once halfway through the day (setting with a powder is optional and still holds exceptionally well). I've been loving this product so much since I stoped priming my face because for once, my makeup actually stays on my face! And this is so important to me because I have early shifts at work. I do my makeup at 5AM to be at work by 6:30, and I really needed something that would last me through to the end of the day (at least 10PM). This product does the trick! However, the only downside is the cost ($39CAD). It's on the pricy side, but for the first time ever my makeup stays on my face for about 17 hours instead of just a few, so I think this is something that I'd be willing to splurge on again. -

Finding the product was difficult. Not sold at next to any locations in Canada, and about $30 to get it shipped here. Had to buy it when I went over the border for like $6USD at Walmart. Found it on some obscure bottom shelf in the NAIL section of all places after 10 minutes of pacing the isle like a crazy person looking for it. They were out of translucent so I got the natural shade. I don't like the fluffy applicator it comes with, and prefer using a fluffy brush instead. Application definitely depends on how you apply it. The fluffy thing makes it a bit cakey vs a fluffy brush. I like to set it with a finishing spray to seal in my makeup. Lasts nearly all day and I have 4:30am mornings which says a lot. I wouldn't say the smell is "grandmotherly" as others say, but smells more like the candies Rockets if you've ever heard of them. My boyfriend says my face smells like candy whenever I wear it. Would recommend as good, inexpensive setting powder. -

Got the shade "Paaarty" for free as my birthday sample at Sephora. This is the only blush I've ever owned, so take what I say about it with a grain of salt. I like that it goes on soft and very neutral. I'm a very pale person, so I like how it gives my face just a splash of colour for when I'm looking a little pasty. I would probably recommend to anyone looking for a soft and natural blush. Lasts on my face despite my oily skin. Would probably consider purchasing in the future. -

I own Birthday Suit because it was my birthday freebie from Sephora this year. I do like the colour, how matte it is, and how easy the application is. However, I find it extremely drying, and I don't have the time at work to touch it up. It gets dried up and cracks on my lips after an hour or so. Would recommend exfoliating your lips before application. -
