This does as it says, penetrates pores and gently exfoliates. Baking soda is a great cleanser, so why not for the face. It's not harsh, and has a light sweet clean scent. It's a nice addition to my varied cleansing arsenal.

The first thing of note is the blueberry smell from the unopened box, so it was even stronger once opened. The fresh blueberries taste nice, and it feels like you're eating healthy with the oats, and not being very sweet. There are 150 cals in a 40 g bar, which is higher than some, yet lower than many snack bars out there.
Freshco had them on sale for $3.50, but that's still too much for 5 bars.
I received these from the Chick Advisor product review club.

Because they are small, they have far less calories than the jumbo muffins sold in grocery stores or individually at bakeries. Metro has them for $5, making the 4 pack not a good value though.

Seeing those (gross) videos of blackheads being sucked off noses & chins, I knew a black mud mask was something I had to try! I searched & read reviews on Amazon.ca for a reasonably priced one that works, and decided to give LuckyFine Blackhead Cleansing Acne Peel-Off Face Mask a try.
I've been using it for several months now. As suggested, after cleansing, I left a face cloth soaked in warm-hot water on my face for more than 5 minutes first before applying. Not much of the shiny black "polish" is needed, it goes far. I've applied it on my entire face, and also just the T zone, keeping it on for 10 minutes total every time. It's easy to peel off, and yes, it does sting, especially on the cheeks, but I'm not that sensitive to mild pain, so I'm ok with it. Never have I seen the icky evidence we're all so fascinated with afterwards though. Not many blackheads, which are really white, have been sucked out like they are pictured. All I really see are super fine white hairs. So while this mask leaves my skin tight and soft, I don't believe it's removing white/blackheads as it should.
They do warn that it will tear facial hair when peeling the mask off, so only use it on the nose. But for me, it was just those microscopic hairs it removed.
For $6, it didn't break the bank, but if you really want to see proof it's removed white/blackheads, go for a more expensive brand.

The last time I was state side, I needed to solve my chocolate craving, and picked up a bag of these bad boys. To my delight, they are better than expected! It's more chocolate than peanut, which is what I'm after. The quality is good milk chocolate too. When my Mr. saw them (& he likes chocolate covered peanuts), he thought that's too much chocolate, but he went at them fast and almost finished the bag. :)
Just $1.09 for 5 oz (142 g), they are an unknown store brand that people need to discover. LOVE 'em!

Great for when you want a chip, but a different kind of chip. 230 cals and 4 grams of fibre per bag. Also contains cane sugar & salt. I see Walmart has them in their flyer for $1.57. -
The milk chocolate has the great quality Hershey's, the shortbread cookie bits add a nice crunch, and the caramel is gooey enough. It's only 39g though, so shouldn't cost the same as a regular sized chocolate bar.

I was curious to try a bar other than chocolate to see how I'd like it. I do enjoy the occasional lemon poppy seed muffin or cake, so wanted to see how they could convert this pleasant flavour into an energy bar. The lemon is nice, not too strong... +
I was curious to try a bar other than chocolate to see how I'd like it. I do enjoy the occasional lemon poppy seed muffin or cake, so wanted to see how they could convert this pleasant flavour into an energy bar. The lemon is nice, not too strong, and there are enough poppy seeds. It had an icing sugar taste for me from the top coating. If you like lemon, this is a bar for you.

Reducing the sugar on these protein bars is an ideal idea. I enjoyed this chocolate peanut butter flavour as pb & chocolate are a great combo. I had half of one before exercising, to help get me through my 1 hour workout. I wasn't lacking energy... +
Reducing the sugar on these protein bars is an ideal idea. I enjoyed this chocolate peanut butter flavour as pb & chocolate are a great combo. I had half of one before exercising, to help get me through my 1 hour workout. I wasn't lacking energy, and felt satisfied. At 200 calories though, that is still too high for a snack, unless you consider it a meal replacement, yet they aren't marketed as that. -
