Love Dove! This conditioner was creamy and luxe, smells like lime and coconuts and left my processed, very dry hair feeling nice and soft! I like to leave in my hair for about 2-3 minutes before I rinse out, which worked well with this product.

I love Dove's shampoo, they always smell nice and leave your hair fresh. This new one is new exception. It smells more like line than the coconut you may expect, but still delicious. It's a clear shampoo (versus creamy), which I always find is more deep cleaning and clarifying so your hair feels soft and light. I have very processed blond hair and this shampoo left it hydrated and shiny. -

This is my go to night cream during the Canadian winter. It is so rich, your skin instantly feels hydrated, but it absorbs quickly and is not greasy. It doens;t have any strong smell. I have sensitive combination skin and it never makes me break out and my skin never gets dry when I'm using it. It has Vitmamin C, A and E, plus hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a quality ingredient for moisturizing and fighting fine lines (not my main goal, but a bonus!). It's also a more natural product overall which I appreciate. -

I received this product for free through the Product Review Club. Overall, I liked it - it's very easy and quick. I used it in the morning and found it refreshing, and I could see from the cotton pad I was using to wipe my face that it was picking up left-over makeup and particles even on my "clean" morning face. It doesn't bother your eyes at all. I have pretty sensitive, combination skin and this was gentle and didn't make me break out or anything at all. It's obviously wet when it goes on, but dries very quickly - I put moisturizer on afterwards and then make-up right away. I did try using it at the end of the day with a full face of makeup and found it wasn't really strong enough - I needed numerous cotton pads and had to wipe and wipe and wipe, and found that it wasn't great at removing waterprooof mascara, which I use daily (* I do see they have a different kind that is specifically for waterproof make-up, so maybe that would have been better to try). So, I would definitely use this as a quick, gentle clean in the morning, but would probably stick to my regular cleanser at night to remove more heavy duty make-up. -

I received this moisturizer for free as part of the Product Review Club. I really liked that it had SPF 15 in it so your sun protection step is included, and it also smells really good (sometimes I find SPF makes moisturizers smell weird - not the case here!). It has a nice rich texture that is still light so it absorbs quickly into your skin. I used in the morning and applied makeup right after, and it was a nice hydrating base. I've only had the product for 2 weeks, and don't think I've noticed a big difference in the brightening of my skin tone yet, but I imagine it takes a bit longer to notice a big change, which is understandable. Because it's winter here, I did notice that it kept my skin well hydrated throughout the day, so I very was happy with it overall. -

It's no secret getting shellac off is more of a process than regular polish (but totally worth the extra mani time!) Whether you go back to a nail salon to have removed professionally or do it yourself at home, you usually soak a cotton pad in pure acetone, place over your nail, wrap in foil for a few minutes which makes it flake/puff up/off, and then scrape off the excess. I tried out the CND Offly Fast remover kit, which I was a cool idea because there aren't other "kits" like this on the market that I've seen. Overall, it's not bad - it gives you all the supplies you need (acetone remover, pre cut foil sheets with built in cotton pad, orange wood stick and conditioning oil for afterwards). I followed the directions which said to keep the soaked pads in foil on your nails for 8 minutes before removing. It mostly came off? But I found it left a lot of polish still stuck to my nail (and I soaked the pads well!). It probably would work better if you left it on for 10 minutes? I also found it a bit tricky to push off the extra polish on my right hand using my left (non-dominant) hand and had to get my husband to help! Even then, my nails were still pretty rough. In salons they use a buffer to buff off the extra, so I used a buffer of my own to do this which big made a difference - I think the kit should come with a buffer for exactly this reason! The oil was nice (and I followed it with lotion because the acetone can be drying on your skin). This product works, so I have nothing bad to say about it, I am only saying I wouldn't recommend because of the price. For $20, I think it's cheaper to just buy acetone, cotton pads and foil (or just go to a nail place which will usually remove for you for $5!!). If you're in a hurry though, or just like the idea of a "kit" product, this kit is a good option. Picture is of fresh shellac mani, 1 week later, 2 weeks later, and freshly removed with CND Offly Fast. -

I really love shellac, and only get shellac manicures now! The application takes the same amount of time as regular polish (plus bonus, no drying time or potential smudges), and it always lasts for two weeks minimum without chipping. Some people think it weakens your nails but I have never found that at all, as long as you remove properly (don't try to pick/chip it off yourself!). This picture is fresh mani, after one week, then after two weeks, and just removed. -

I visited Lux Spa for a shellac manicure and really enjoyed the experience. The booking over the phone was easy (although they were busy!) and the staff person I spoke to was friendly. It's located in trendy Yorkville, so just being in that neighbourhood feels like a treat! It's small, but the ambiance inside is trendy and calming - clean/modern lines, white and light turquoise, a tranquil vibe. The nail technician I was seeing was waiting for me when I walked in, greeted me, and took my coat so I felt very welcome. They have a little menu with complimentary teas and coffees listed which was a nice touch. The nail technician was very friendly and polite, talking with me but also respecting some "quiet time". I am pregnant so she chatted with me about that because she has kids, and I liked that! I was a breads aid Ina wedding the next day and needed a neutral colour and she was very helpful with colour suggestions that would look good which I appreciated. I'm not someone who always goes to an upscale spa to get a manicure because it can be expwnsive, but if I wanted to treat myself I would absolutely go back to Lux. -

I really liked these bars. I was curious to see what quinoa would taste like in a granola bar form, and found it was delicious! The texture reminded me of a rice crispy square, both soft and crunchy at the same time. Tastes yummy, the chocolate coating is a nice treat! I do usually try to stay around 100 calories for a snack bar, but this was a nice treat, and worth it because of the protein content from the nuts and quinoa (keeps you full!). I would definitely buy these at the store! -
