I'm very much not a pro at makeup, but I like to play around once in a while, and am always interested in items or gadgets that will help me improve my skills. The sponge is pricey, but blends very nicely with a natural, flawless finish. The downsides are that I find I use a lot more product, and most of it is held inside the sponge (even when wetting it first!). Another downside is that I wanted to be very strict with washing it each time, and it started to really look worn and even started to tear before very long at all - about a month of not-daily use. -

I bought this about a year ago based on a suggestion from a friend - I always used to feel at the end of my work day that eyelids were greasy and my eye makeup was a mess. I bought the paint pot in a colour called "painterly" which is very close to my skin tone - I use it every day as a primer with a bit of colour in it and when i'm in a rush for work it gives a nice hint of colour and also helps my eyeliner stay in place. Using this daily my eyes no longer feel greasy and they look great through the evening. If going out right after work I may just touch up with some powder on top and it looks fresh as new! It also really lasts - it hasn't dried out and looks like i've barely used it! -

I love this product! I've tried many flavours of seltzer water in the US, and am disappointed we can't get it in Canada. This is a nice addition to the market with a couple of good flavours - the flavour is natural and not too sweet. It's certainly more of a flavoured water and not a soda. -

I got this 3 years ago asa Christmas gift and love it!! It was on my wish list since I wanted something to help with my constant breakouts but didn't like the waste of brushes with heads needing replacement. Plus, i knew I wouldn't want to incur the cost as often as they recommend! This stays in my shower safely, doesn't wear out and only needs to be charged about once a year! It gives a nice gentle cleanse and you really feel it gets in to your pores, and it buzzes at intervals so you get a good scrub in each section. There's a smaller "travel" version, but i don't find that necessary as this will hold the charge and fit in any bag easily, it's about the size of the palm of my hand. -

I #gotitfree through the Chick Advisor review program and upon opening the box I really liked the packaging and the description of the scent - it didn't take me long to open it up and smell it and wasn't disappointed! The coconut smell isn't too strong so it doesn't make you think of sunscreen. Using it in the shower, the later is really nice and bubbly and it feels light - you know you're getting clean hair, but it doesn't feel like it's stripping anything away. I like the idea of using less harmful ingredients and recycled materials, but this price point is just a bit too high for me. My fine flat hair reacted well to it, but not really any better than my normal natural $4-5 shampoo. -

I #gotitfree with with the Chick Advisor review club and loved the smell right away! I have very fine, flat hair, so am always excited to try something new that promises to help with volume. I don't always condition my hair as I find it makes it feel heavy and almost oily, but this conditioner did feel lightweight. I tried it one morning before blowdrying my hair and heading off to work, and my hair felt light and moisturized through the day. I didn't end up touching my hair a lot, so it looked good on day 2 as well! The second try wasn't as impressive though, I washed and blow dried my hair before bed, and the next morning my hair felt very heavy. I like the balance of using recycled plastics and more natural ingredients while still feeling like a luxurious product - for me, I would only buy this again at closer to a $5 price point though as i wasn't quite blown away by it and I have to really love it to spend more than that! If you have flat hair I do recommend giving this a try and see how it works for you. -

I #gotitfree from Family Rated and decided to make this on a very busy night at home on my own. It took 8 minutes to cook and 5 minutes to rest and thicken the sauce. This is a lot like the Knorr Sidekicks but I found the quality about the same. The only difference I noticed was a new shape of pasta and a different flavour of sauce - this is a bit more gourmet than the existing sidekicks, but remains a bit lackluster. Personally I would use dry pasta i have on hand instead and maybe buy a pesto sauce in a jar that would be a bit more rich in flavour. I would recommend this if you're not very good/confident with cooking and need something pretty foolproof! It definitely looked nice on the plate. -

I got to try this body was through the Chick Advisor Product Review Club #gotitfree and loved the smell. It cleans nicely, doesn't dry out my tight winter skin, and has a lovely luxurious lather. That being said, at what looks like at least $9 for a bottle, this is way over priced for a body wash for me. There are no special claims that make it worth the price other than being in a recycled bottle. Pass this up and maybe try a premium bar soap with no packaging if you really want to save the planet. -

I made this on a weeknight hoping it would be a really quick and easy dinner for my spouse and I on a busy night after work. Vegetables and meat cooked quickly but are cooked separately from the quinoa mix that takes over 20 minutes. The package made a nice meal with a creamy sauce (not soupy!) and good texture, but i was disappointed to find the package only contained a grain mix and seasoning - I know how to cook quinoa and brown rice, so feel like I could have easily made this myself without the package. The recipe is nice, but I wouldn't spend more than about $1 on this product. -
Trader Joe's Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil
I love this line from Trader Joe's and the price just can't be bit even after the exchange to Canadian. It gives a nice clean feeling without drying out and since using this on a regular basis my breakouts have reduced as well!
