When I first received this free sample to try from Butterly, I wasn't quite sure which Aveeno product I had got, so of course I read the package. The package said this cream was for people who had minor skin irritation such as poison ivy, poison oak, allergic reaction etc. at the time, I had none of these, and wasn't sure how I was gonna review it.
Elsewhere, I saw that this could be used as a regular hand cream, so I decided to give it a try.
But to be honest, in my opinion they already have 1 point against them, as the bottle or box should have told me this was also a regular hand cream. I mean, I would only purchase this in store if suffering from a skin irritation.
On my 1st try, it was end of day and my hands were extremely dry. Been doing many load of dishes and hand washing. It took 3, dime size amounts to hydrate my hands.
Each application of the dime size amounts just didn't go far enough, to moisture my hands, but I attributed this to my hands being extremely dry.
The next 2 timesnI tried this hand cream, was during the day, once mid day, the other mid morning.
I used a bit more than a dime size amount, say a fat dime amount.
Going on the cream feels very wet, and you get a feeling that its gonna take all day to rub this in.
Being am esthetician, I follow the proper technique to applying cream, making sure to get the hands, front and back, fingers, cuticles and even the web at the base of each finger.
This cream goes from feeling wet, to feeling greasy and thick, real quick.
I almost thought it had silicone in it, but because it stays with the greasy feeling and doesn't quite dry, I knew it was glycerin based. Which I confirmed by reading the ingredients list.
Even 10 min after applying, your hands still feel slippery. I applied some of this hand cream while doing the review and my phone kept slipping out of my hands.
For that reason, this cream is a No for me, as a daily hand cream.
I cannot speak towards its affectiveness on skin irritations, as I dont have any.
This is why my heading is I'm not quite sure...
I can only test half of what this is to be used for.
Altho, if I did have poison ivy or oak, I don't think I'd want a cream that left my hands greasy.
I did like the packaging, and the way the lid clicked on. It has a nice little click at the end, that lets you know, it's on and done.
It is also scent free, which is a huge bonus for me, living with my mother who is sensitive to every scent on the planet. So at least I was able to apply this cream in her presence, not just while she wasn't around.
I am not sure if I got a full size bottle or a sample bottle, or if this is a travel size. There is 48 grams in the bottle I received.
Personally, I don't usually buy bottles this small, as I run through them to fast, and with the way the cap screws on and off, you cannot refill this tube.
So this would be another no, if this is the way it is purchased in store.
I have no idea as to the cost of the product, as I say again, I was given this as a free sample through Butterly, a try before you buy program.
I am sorry if my review didn't help, and grateful if it did.
I tried to put in all the information, I would want to know as a consumer. Hopefully I helped :)

I personally didn't care for the exfoliator. Its a cream, but a runny cream. I was expecting a small amount of granules in it, but there wasn't. Not really an issue, I used this on my face and body. I didn't feel cleansed, in fact on my face, it felt like I had just put a coating on my face.
My skin felt thick, not clean, it didn't feel like any dirt, dead skin or oil had been removed. In fact because of this added coating it felt like I now had, I had to rewash my face with another cleanser.
Being such a runny cream it was hard to wash your body, its like washing with very thin hair conditioner.
It took a lot of rubbing and elbow grease on my end to remove any dirt and dead skin.
Way more work than I would normally have to do with my regular body cleanser.
There wasn't any smell or perfume in it, which was nice.
The tube was easy enough to dispense from.
