After two babes in 2 years and a lot of lost sleep, I was starting to feel like my skin was looking SO blah. It was dull, my lines were looking deeper, and you could fill the bags under my eyes with your weekly groceries. So I asked one of my more 'mature' mom friend (aka, her oldest is 4 lol) for a recommendation on what the heck I should get. I use moisturizer regularly, but I needed something more.
She suggested I try Kiehls Midnight Recovery serum. I've been using it for 2months now and let me tell you, I NEVER miss a night. I absolutely love it. It makes your skin SO soft, it gives me back that glow I lost, and helps with the wrinkles and bags. It's a small bottle but a teeny bit goes a LONG way, so I can't see this bottle running out in less than 6mths. It's pricey but wow is it powerful. Seriously, this stuff is amazing if you're feeling blah and dull after too many nights snuggling the babes (or out partying if that's your thing ;))

My little guy was a preemie and spent three weeks in the NICU before he came home. At the hospital, they used Pampers Swaddlers, so I figured I'd just stick to it when we got home. We have LOVED these swaddlers. Now that he's moving around we've moved onto Cruisers, but it made me so sad haha. We were blessed that he started sleeping 12+ hours very early on and the Swaddlers were so key in that - he NEVER leaked once in his Swaddlers. There were some mornings we had some seriously wet diapers, but he was never bothered by them at all and they kept him nice and dry. In his first year, he only ever had a diaper rash once, and I think the Swaddlers had something to do with it. One time we were in a pinch and I had to buy a different brand - the very first night he leaked everywhere and woke up crying because he was soaking wet. I gave the rest of the box away. I know everyone has different experiences, but we swear by these! -

LOVED this product. Which honestly surprised me. For some reason, I'm a sweaty person. Not just at the gym but particularly in stressful situations (Which feels like all the time some weeks). I normally purchase clinical strength anti-persirant to help keep it under control and sometime apply multiple time a day. THIS was just as good as my supposedly clinical strength brand. And cheaper :) My oooonly minor complaint is that it does leave some white residue because it's more of a solid (my other is a softer type solid which doesn't leave residue unless you catch it on a black shirt lol). But all in all I liked this one - it kept me dry, smells nice without being over powering and did what it was supposed.

I don't use lip balm that often, but after using this, I can't remember why I stopped. Love this product! Goes on smooth, it's not sticky and immediately my lips look softer and feel moisturized. Other lip balms seem to almost leave a coating on your lips, whereas this one felt like I was putting moisturizer on them.I've been using it every day and loving it so far :)

Soooo I loved that we got so many products to try, but this one was a little disappointing. Now, I'm not sure if it's because it came in a small trial tin, as opposed to the larger plastic pots that you see in the stores, but this just didn't cut it for me - at last as a facial moisturizer. In a pinch, I'm sure it would be fine to use if you ran out of body cream or hand cream, but for my face, I'm sorry to say it was a no no. The cream was very sticky and not really creamy at all. It seemed to sit on my skin and not really get absorbed in at all, leaving my skin feeling greasy and my face shiny. I only used it twice before I went back to my usual face cream. I gave it an average ranking though because as a back up cream when you need a dose of moisture, it will do the trick.

Now these wipes, I liked! As a mom of a toddler, I don't have a ton of time to wash my face every night and morning, so for those days when I needed a quick refresh and cleanse, these were perfect. Even took off my eye makeup and mascara without any trouble at all. While not quite as deep cleaning as the cleanser provided, they still took off the day's grime and left my skin feeling fresh. I would likely buy these going forward for those days when a full wash just isn't happening.

I was super pumped when my box of Nivea goodies arrived! I had thought they'd only be sending one product but instead I received a whole whack of awesomeness. I started using all of them the day they arrived!
Of all the products, I think the all-in-one facial cleansing lotion was my face. While I admit, personal preference, I usually like a creamier cleanser, this lotion actually did the trick just as well and was even easier to use. To keep things efficient, I usually cleanse my face in the shower - makes way less of a mess around the bathroom sink. I loved the click on cap first of all - sooo much easier to open and re-seal when your hands are wet! The product is a lotion, so a little runnier than some cleansers, but it goes on smooth and washes away SO much easier than creams. The best part was, my skin didn't feel dry or tight afterwards like it does with some other cleansers I've tried. It was nice and soft and felt like it still had moisture in it. Other products I've used, I've needed to moisturize immediately after cleansing just to keep my skin from getting uncomfortable. Not this one!
After a week of daily use, I'm very impressed with the results. No breakouts (again, sometimes when I start a new cleanser my skin breaks out), skin felt moist and clean, with no major mess to worry about all over the place. It might just become a regular product for me!

I just finished reviewing the Dream Velvet Foundation which came with the blender and I want to say again that I LOVED it...
And because I always do my best to be truly honest in my reviews, I wish I could say the same for the blender :( I was super excited to try this product out. In theory, I love the idea. A sponge with a handle so I don't have to get foundation on my hands, and with contours that would allow me to blend certain areas in a different ways.
Unfortunately in execution it just didn't work out that way in my opinion. First of all, when I put the foundation provided on the applicator, it seems to soak into the sponge so much that very little actually made it onto my face. This was a tad disappointing, but I put more on and kept trying. After what seemed like way too much foundation wasted in the sponge, I encountered another challenge - I as tried to apply without it seeping in to much, I would push harder on the handle of the applicator to try and get it to absorb on my skin. I felt like the sponge was going to break off the handle, and didn't want to push any harder.
I really wanted to give this a fair shot though so I tried it with my other fully liquid foundation, just in case it was the mousse style that was sinking in...it was slightly better with a full liquid, but I still felt like I was needing to use far more than I usually do when applying foundation.
It did blend nicely under my eyes and around my nose with the pointed tip where it didn't require as much pressure but the amount I had to use to get coverage for my dark circles just didn't seem right.
I'm so sorry to say that unfortunately I'll be sticking with my regular old sponges on this one...the thought is a good one, but this product just didn't do what I'd hoped.

First off, I received this product as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review club.
When I received this foundation, I was pretty stoked. I was running out of my old stuff and I love the opportunity to try new foundations. Despite the many years I've been wearing make up and using foundation, I've never found one that I love SO much to keep buying the same one. BUT that may have just changed ;)
In the past, as a serial foundation tester, I had used Mayablline's Dream Matte Mousse which comes in a pot and you apply with your fingertips. I remember liking the product but like I said, I tend to try things then move on to the next one. Well, Mayabelline's New York Dream Velvet may just make me commit to a foundation. It's a similar consistency to the mousse, but with less mess and for me, more even coverage.
I love that just the right amount seems to come out of the tube and allows me to perfectly blend it. It's feels just a little heavy, but personally I like looking/feeling like I'm actually wearing make up and the thickness means that it conceals nicely, while giving an overall soft blended look. It effortlessness evens out my skin tone and then sets beautifully without looking cakey or shiny. The colour matched perfectly and it went on like a dream (pardon the pun ;)).
I am a notorious 5 minute face girl - I like my makeup to look nice but without taking forever to apply it, so I also love wearing cream blush. This foundation was the perfect based for my blush and helped me blend the two so naturally. This foundation stays put for hours without budging but cleans off at night without much effort.
Overall, I really really liked this foundation and will more than likely buy another tube when this one runs out!

I love wearing nail polish and depending on how much time I have I love to switch it up. But recently, I haven't had a whole lot of 'extra' time, so I love when I find a product that helps my nails stay looking great longer than a week. This product definitely does that. It looks fantastic on top of any brand or colour. I went more than 2wks without a single chip - until you could clearly see my nail line growing in! LOL. So, why wouldn't I recommend this product? Unfortunately what makes it great is also it's down fall - it's impossible to get off!! Perhaps there is a trick I'm unaware of but regular OPI nail polish remover will barely budge this stuff. After a combination of remover, moisturizer and scrapping, I finally got it off. If there is a better way to remove, then I would highly recommend, but not being able to get it off is a huge deal breaker of me. :S -
