Crest Pro-Health ProFresh Toothpaste

To be honest I thought most toothpastes were pretty much the same. That said, after nearly a week of using this one (which I was given to review through ChickAdvisor's Review Program) I was wrong. I'm sorry to say but I really did not like this one and wouldn't recommend to a friend. Here's why:
First impression - It looks on the outside like any of the brand name toothpastes. The nice square, short box that usually comes with the ones with a good click cap. It has that - that I love as my significant other regularly scolds me for leaving the cap off...it's much harder to do that when attached (although still possible) ;) But that's about where my love for this product stopped.
On the brush, all looked good still. But as soon as I put it near my face, my eyes watered. Then I put it in my mouth and I almost spit it back out. I got more accustomed to the smell and taste as the week went on but I still am not a fan. It's very strong smelling and tasting - and if I gave a really good brush, it even burned after use.
There was no nice foamy lather either, which I like in a toothpaste. I find if there is a lather I feel like I'm getting a better clean. With this, no lather at all and around 30s of brushing I didn't even know if there was any paste left and the brush didn't move well anymore.
As for fresh breath, I really didn't notice any difference from my usual toothpaste (which is a whitening one with no specific calm to remarkably fresher breath).
Hate to say it, but this one missed the boat for me and I've actually switched back to my normal toothpaste. That said, check out my other reviews of the Crest Pro-Health line - the brush = holy wow, like being at the dentist, the wash = no alcohol! (I think they put it in the paste ;))

HOWEVER, it didn't come without a cost.
First off, if you have sensitive gums, this product may not be for you. Personally, I do and this product caused them to become very inflamed.
I also found this product made my bottom teeth quite sensitive. Not super painful, but definitely flinched with super cold water a couple of times.
Using the product was pretty simple, although I did have trouble keeping them in place 2 of the days. Being a mouth-breather, I tend to create more saliva than most and I think this affected the 'staying power' of the seal. It was still better than other versions of this product I've used in the past (sometimes those didn't stay on for 20mins) but most days, these did last the full 2 hours.
Which is another somewhat tough thing. Keeping them on for 2 hours felt like a bit much sometimes and I removed them on occasion before the time was up, as they were starting to 'leak' a bit.
All in all though, as I said, they're definitely worth it if you really want super white teeth, but be warned there are certainly some side effects.

Then I saw this cheap version at Shoppers and figured, why not - I'd give it a try. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! My hair feels amazing. It's sooo soft and shiny. Even my boyfriend was stroking my hair one night and asked if I'd done something different. And I said, 'why yes, actually, I picked up some moroccan oil" - giving me the suspicious look he tends to occasionally, he asked "was it expensive?" And got to laugh and truthfully say NO! Super cheap. Maybe the real stuff is even better, but I'll be sticking to this stuff - it does a great job! -

I received this product through the Chick Advisor product review club. The colour I picked was Dark Brown 400. Overall, this product is okay. Over the years I've used a lot of different brands of hair colour and really, this one didn't stand out in any particular way.
Like most hair colour products, it added shine and a bit of colour boost for the first few days - my hair is naturally brown, but this is a few shades darker, so it's nice for a change if you don't want something permanent. It has held its colour well in the past week since I used it.
I will say the smell is pretty good, but in comparison, most brands have a fairly good smell these days - not like way back when the dye reeked of ammonia.
I wish I could say more positive things about this product, but it didn't blow my socks off. It was pretty average overall - but if you're looking for a little shine boost and fresh colour, it is a decent choice for the price range.

Anyhoo, the nice part about this is that I've had a chance to use it longer - and I'm loving it!
I actually have noticed a difference in my skin. It's soften, more supple and it's tone is better. Before it was looking a little bit dull, and tired, but after 2 weeks with this product, it actually is looking and feeling better!
I love the texture of it -- smooth, whipped and creamy. Except when it's 40C in TO, it has kind of melted. But still works.
I'm really enjoying this product and would definitely recommend it.
The only downside I have to say is that I'm not a fan of the smell. It has a strong sunscreen scent, but it goes away fairly quickly.

I've tried quite a few different razors and I had come to the conclusion that the regular Venus razor was probably the best I was going to get. But, the Venus Embrace site was giving away free ones to try so I figured why not. This thing is amazing - really I love it and I don't say that about many products. Usually after the first shave with a new blade I end up with nicks all over my legs, and I don't even think about touching the bikini line until the blade has dulled a wee bit. But with the Embrace, both legs and bikini line were silky soft and smooth the first time - with no red bumps! I couldn't believe how well it worked and with NO nicks. Love love love it!! Will definitely be shelling out a little extra of this razor from now on! -

I received this product through the product review club. I've been using this product for about 3 weeks and haven't really noticed much difference at all. I only notice a *slight* plumping effect immediate after I use the white side of the tube, but even then, not very much.
The packaging is quite nice though. And I will say, I also gave a tube to my mother and she LOVES it. So the effectiveness of it likely changes the more you need it. I only have a little bit of feathering around my lips whereas she has much more (being a wee bit older than I ;) and she swears it works for her.

I was sent Vaseline Sheer Infusion through the ChickAdvisor Product Review club. I get super dry skin when it starts to get cold so I've left the bottle at work and use it regularly to combat the dry office air. I absolutely love how silky my skin feels after using it. It's not as thick as other body lotions I've tried, but I actually like that about it. It seems to absorb faster/better than some of the creamier lotions. And I really love the smell. I don't wear perfume, or strong scents, so I like that it has a subtle citrus-y smell that isn't over powering but is pleasant. Would definitely recommend this body lotion to friends! -

I received this product through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I've been using it now for about 2 weeks and have actually noticed a difference. I've tried other eye creams and never really noticed much of a change, but this one has been great. It's got a nice texture (not sticky or greasy) and absorbs really well. And I admit, I don't have many wrinkles, but I do get dark circles easily and find the skin around my eyes can look dull, especially if I haven't had enough sleep. Since I began using this product, I've noticed the circles are less noticeable and my skin is tighter and soft. I'm pretty impressed to be honest - I never really thought I needed something like this yet, but it feels good to know that I'm doing something now to pre-empt signs of aging that we all know are coming! :) -

It's not necessarily bad either, but I still feel the need to moisturize after I shower. I have fairly dry skin and have not noticed any difference. It comes out very thick and creamy which is nice, and it does have a decent lather as well. The scent is subtle, but I'm not a fan of it really. It sort of smells like oatmeal. Overall, it's just okay. -
