At 9:40 my dog swallowed a sock called 1 Emergency Pet Hospital, they were unable to help because vet was in surgery and they gave me the name and number of King Hopkins because they were the closest because time is of the essence I was told!! I called King Hopkins and said this was an emergency . I explained the emergency and she rudely asked if my dog was one of their patients and I said no! then she said yeah we can’t help you!!! and didn’t offer any other clinics!!!! Disgusting no care in the world for my dog!!! We ended up finding one that was in Whitby and don’t tell me she didn’t know about this one to recommend!! ABSOLUTELY APPALLING !!
We ended up taking our dog to the AEC of
Durham Region( Animal Emergency Clinic)
They quickly brought him in asked few questions and then induced vomiting and retrieved the swallowed sock!!! Very professional , caring and competent!!!
