The restaurant is located downtown just a few steps from the LRT Bay Station, in an old funky building with recycled tables from the 70's.
This is a great choice if you want vegetarian and vegan options - the menu clearly shows what are these items. This is a big plus for me, since my husband is vegetarian and he feels more comfortable when the place shows that they are concerned about veggies.
The homemade fries that we had as an appetizer were really good, and they arrived very quick to our table. The veggie burger was amazing, and I understand why this is one of the most famous dish of the place. The (vegetarian) Caeser salad that came with it was also delicious.
We also had the Falafel plate, which was not that spectacular. The patties were dry and not so flavorful - I had better falafel before. The tabouleh salad that comes with it was very good though - they use real olive oil and fresh mint leaves.
The offer real brewed iced tea, and that was good. It also looks like they always try to use local products, which is also a very positive aspect for me.
The service was very thoughtful and kind.
The only problem that I see is since their ceilings are very high, the place can get very noisy. However we were there at lunch time and there was a big group sitting close to us, with some noisy kids... So that wasn't a very romantic environment - which was OK for a Sunday lunch.
I am definitely planning to come back for dinner some time. It will be probably more quiet at night time without all those kids around. :-)
