My five year old loves scented markers, and I thought that Silly Scents Stinky markers would be an interesting twist on the usual sweet scents. These are great quality scented markers with strong, unique scents.
We smelled each of them together and talked about the smells. My son thinks the cough syrup is sweet and not stinky, and I agree that it smells good but I also always liked grape cough syrup. We also didn't mind the smell of bacon, although it doesn't smell as good as fresh bacon. I also thought grass smells good, but my son wasn't so sure and decided to smell the grass outside today to compare. The other scents are genuinely "Phew!" stinky, ranging from just a little eww to almost gagging. Moldy sponge and BBQ Grill were our least favorites, but we got a chance to talk about how people can perceive things differently. My son was still talking about these the next morning and wanted to take them to school with him, so they might be fun for show and tell later on in the year.
Some of the stronger scents are still noticeable hours later if you sniff the paper they are used on, but unless you are putting your nose up close, you probably won't notice. My son will still use these to draw and write. I'm happy I bought them, but they were a novelty purchase so I wouldn't purchase them again.

My son who just turned 6 was very excited about this set, because he is a fan of the Combo Panda character from Ryan's World. He played with it for about an hour when he first got it. The SlimySand has a unique texture that is a lot of fun, and the molds are good quality although a bit on the small side.
This set comes with 3 packages (Featuring Gus, Combo and Red Titan) filled with SlimySand and then 3 suprise eggs, which also contain SlimySand. I thought the surprise eggs would contain a small toy, but they don't. I guess the surprise is supposed to be that these are special types of sand that may be scented or special colors. One of the eggs we received had a pretty beige color with a glittery effect, but the other two contained colors that were already included in the set. One seemed to have some scent to it, but no idea what was supposed to be special about the other one. So, the surprise egg element of this set was disappointing. The amount of sand in this set is also a bit disappointing. I think it is probably about a pound, and other SlimySand sets are advertised as 2-3 pounds.
This set isn't the best value and could definitely be improved on, but my son did enjoy it. He loves mixing colors, and he pretended that Red Titan and Combo were battling a color monster that was eating all the colors. So, all the sand ended up the same dull blue green color, and it's not as interesting to him for future play. But, it is a neat sensory experience and is good for pretend play.

The Monster Jam Mega Grave Digger Remote Control Monster Truck is mega size and mega fun. It's over two feet long and has red headlights that light up. It can drive up steps, through grass, and jump obstacles and even over a person (we tried that and it didn't hurt).
The foam tires are soft enough that they didn't damage anything when crashing it indoors, but they are strong enough that they look new after several uses indoors and outdoors.
My five year old son was able to figure out how to use the remote control quickly, but is still getting the hang of steering it well. However, he prefers chasing it around the neighborhood while my husband drives it. We have had to remind him several times that he can't sit on the truck, because he could break it. However, the truck does support light stuffed animals, and my son loves watching his stuffed animals go for a ride.
My 40-something husband enjoys this toy as much or more than my son, and I like it too. It probably would have been a good gift for my husband even if he didn't have a kid. I think this is a great buy for people of all ages with an interest in monster trucks, remote control vehicles and/or fun, unique toys.
Note: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Silly Street was recommended by my 4-year-old son's speech therapist and OT. This game has opportunities for movement, pretending, storytelling and more.
It's a big hit with my whole family, and we've had some good laughs while playing. My son wanted to play daily and sometimes multiple times a day for two weeks after receiving the game. He gets very engaged in the game, and it allows him to use his imagination and be silly. My husband and I also don't mind playing this game, because unlike some other kids' games, it is not boring and my son's enthusiasm is contagious.
One of the elements about the game that I wasn't so sure that I'd like was the puzzle board, but that has turned out to be awesome. It doesn't take long to put together, and my son enjoys setting up the game. We usually put the board on the floor, and it really does stay put. No issues with the board breaking apart, and the pieces also haven't been tipped over because they are fairly flat and a good weight. Both the tokens and board are great quality and very sturdy.
We did run through all the cards pretty quickly, which makes it a bit less interesting to the adults now. My son doesn't seem to mind and has favorite cards that he requests like "boss for a turn" and "surf on a pillow." However, I was a little less enthusiastic when I got the "hop like a frog" card for the fifth time. For Apple users, there is an app that offers additional cards, but we have Android phones and Fire tablets. I contacted the company, and they do have plans for an Android app in the future but don't have a release date yet. I think I would prefer the option to buy printed card refills and keep play screen free, but I do like the idea of having an app for on the go and lower cost option for expanding the game.

My son was very into Top Wing when he was 4 years old and asked for Top Wing toys. Since he has the tendency to move on to another favorite show and forget about the old toys, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. But, I also knew he wouldn't be happy with only one or two characters. This Play-doh set was the perfect find to make both of us happy.
The set includes the four main characters and their vehicles, plus five of the 2 ounce containers of Play-doh and a Top Wing badge stamper. The Flash Wing opens up to make a 3-D mold of Swift, but the bottom has stamps of Cheep and Chirp! Each of the other vehicles has a stamp on the bottom to make its corresponding Top Wing character, although it would have been nice to have some additional character stamps rather than repeats of the main characters. The green plane works pretty well as a knife, and the pink plane can shoot a small amount of Play-doh out the front.
The combination of the characters and vehicles with Play-doh tools really enhanced my son's pretend play. He particularly liked making tracks with the car -- There is a different pattern on each wheel -- and making the mission badges.
The car is my favorite tool. It's a little bit bigger than the other vehicles, and it's a fun alternative to the other Play-doh patterning tools that we have. I'm planning on using it to do an art project making tracks in paint.

This set really is tiny. I included a picture with coins to give a better idea of the size. The signs are breakable if they are left out and stepped on, and possibly if played with too roughly. So, I don't recommend this for kids under three, but my five year old has enjoyed playing with it. It's a fun little set with a good variety of vehicles and street signs, and you can make curved roads as well as straight. The playtape does run out quickly, so plan on buying more in the future. -

I have bought a few cheap grow kits in the past that never ended up sprouting after the seeds were planted. So, I was pleasantly surprised that all three of the varieties in the Abby's Garden kit grew well. Even more so, because I ended up buying this kit when I saw it on sale back before Christmas time, and then, I decided to wait and give it to my son in his Easter basket. Thinking the seeds might not be good, I planted them all although there were more than the directions call for in each packet.
After about a month, three of the four plants did die because the soil got too wet and stayed that way. I think this was because there were no drainage holes. The other needed to be replanted, which it needed anyways since the container was not very big.
I would recommend this kit for preschool and kindergarten age kids. My 5 year old loved helping to plant the seeds, decorating the pots with the stickers and coloring in the activity book. And, there were plenty of fun Sesame Street stickers left over for future art projects.
