After trying the mint chip Ice Cream Creations, I was eager to give the other flavors a try. I was particularly disappointed with the Dulce de Leche.
The cookies themselves were quite dry, almost dusty in texture. They broke and crumbled unrelentingly when bitten, The "Dulce de Leche" chunks were hard as glass and incredibly brittle; they tasted very little like dulce de leche, and more like vanilla chips.
I don't know what I was expecting of store bought cookies, but I wasn't too thrilled with what I got.
With that being said, my significant other loved this flavor even more than the mint chip, so maybe it just wasn't for me.

The Teddy Bear Hair set by Too Faced is a great option for cruelty free makeup brushes.
Compared to buying single brushes by brands like MAC or Sigma, this set is incredibly cheap. However, when you look at the price tag all on its own it seems like quite a lot.
The set comes in a matching bag complete with powder brush, contour brush, liner brush, shadow brush, and blender brush. However, these brushes aren't necessarily ideal for their advertised purposes. The "liner" brush is quite thick and blunt, and would be more appropriately named as a pencil brush. The "contour" brush is more fit to be used as a packing brush, with its flat, dense fibers.
What I find is missing from this set, that would make it perfect for a full-face brush set, is a small angled brush for eyebrows and liquid liner.
Despite my few irritations with this product the brushes are well made, they stand up quite well over time. They're soft and retain their shape even after vigorous cleaning.
If you're just starting and need a few brushes to get you on your feet, this could be the set for you.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is very accommodating for all different skin tones from true ivory to deep brown.
NARS Radiant in Chantilly is the only concealer I've found that works well for my palest of skin.
It's a full coverage concealer that works well on under eye circles as well as redness around the nose, mouth, and that caused by skin imperfections. It's perfecting and illuminating.
You get a good amount of product in each tube, as well as the option to buy a smaller version if need be. It's not the cheapest (especially for a Canadian), but it is certainly not overpriced.
If your skin is darker than mine, you can choose to purchase this concealer two shades lighter than your own, it makes for a fantastic, long-lasting highlighter.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer is my everyday go-to facial lotion.
For $19 I purchased a two pack of 120ml pump bottles. The packaging is of average quality, not unattractive.
Positively Radiant works well both under makeup and as a solo product on bare-faced days. It absorbs quickly, has a mild scent, and it's noncomedogenic (it doesn't clog pores).
As an added bonus, Positively Radiant provides your face with an SPF15 sunscreen, which is excellent for anyone who is pale or particularly worried about sun damage.
Overall, it leaves my skin feeling smooth and velvet soft, without any oily residue. That's a win in my books.

I found these boots while searching for a stylish option for the winter months. As a Canadian, I needed them to be warm, as well as slip resistant.
The Angelas come in a variety of colors (black, brown, and rusty red). They have a lovely, warm, faux fur interior as well as a genuine, water resistant cow suede exterior.
They can be worn flipped down, with the fur exposed, as an ankle bootie, or flipped up as a calf-high boot. This was a big selling point for me.
They're of excellent quality, they're attractive, and they offer a great value for your money.

As many people do, I struggle with enlarged pores on my nose. This product advertises that it will "erase pores", but does it? In my experience, no.
Upon opening the tube I found that it had a mildly medicinal smell, which isn't necessarily something I want in my cosmetics. It's clear and colorless, as well as smooth and spreadable.
My initial reaction after using this product wasn't impressed, it didn't really change the look of my pores at all.
If the ineffectiveness of the product hadn't been enough, it also broke my skin out, which is something no other makeup product has ever done to me.
However, it is cheap. If you're not looking to spend a lot of money on a similar product such as The PORE-fessional by Benefit or Photo Finish Primer by Smashbox, this could be worth a try.

At only $20CAD per tube, Immortal Lash is a fantastic value in comparison to its other high end counterparts.
Despite some very mixed opinions about this product, I absolutely love it.
The wand provided in the tube is one of my favourites, it's perfect for combing through both top and bottom lashes, and doesn't leave them looking spidery or clumpy. Even my finest inner lashes are coated well by the small bristles of the wand.
The formula works quite well for me, it doesn't flake and it keeps lashes curled all day long. It's extremely black and creates a very dramatic lash look.
In the end, this product works amazingly for me. However, I would be wary of repurchasing, as it seems there are some inconsistencies in quality from batch to batch.

CLEAN Rain has become one of my absolute favourite scents for everyday wear.
CLEAN does, in fact, smell very clean; without a harsh detergent or astringent smell. It's light, bright, and very wearable. It's not so potent that it will be distracting to others, but it's pleasantly noticeable while in close-quarters.
Lovely melon and floral notes shine through, making it a very innocent scent, great for ladies of all ages. Although it isn't a seductive smelling perfume, it's still alluring in its own way.
Overall, a fantastic scent with great staying power, suitable for any season.

At 32$CAD per pencil, I was expecting a little more bang for my buck.
I purchased the NARS Velvet Lip Gloss Pencil in Happy Days and Baroque. My first impression was one of disappointment, but I persisted with both shades, hoping they would grow on me. Unfortunately, I was not won over.
Admittedly, both shades I chose were fairly pink in color, but I was expecting a lot more pigmentation, even for a gloss. On my pale lips, neither showed up as much as I would like; offering about as much color payoff as a tinted lip balm.
Color aside, if I had been happy with any other aspect of the product, I would have considered purchasing again, but I wasn't. The texture of the product was slightly gritty, and it had a mildly off-putting scent.
Furthermore, NARS pencils come in a strange size - Not thin enough for a standard sharpener, but not quite wide enough for a chubby lippie sharpener either.
Personally, I would go in a different direction if I were searching for a high end lip gloss, these just aren't for me.

At $36CAD per box, Hoola is a bit of an investment. However, for the quality of the product, you won't find anything better.
A true brown bronzer with no orange undertones, Hoola is an excellent product for both contouring and all-over bronzing, and it's in a shade that will work for many skin tones on the lighter end of the spectrum. It's shimmer free and has a fantastic color payoff.
Although a bit powdery, Hoola has a beautifully blendable consistency that works well over a liquid or powder foundation, and can be applied with a brush or beauty sponge.
Benefit provides you with a brush in the box, as well; it works well for applying the bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks and under the jawline, but you will need a secondary tool for blending.
Overall, a great product.
