DAVIDsTEA The Spice is Right

The only thing I wasn't so keen on with this tisane is that it can smell a bit like ammonia if you leave a mug of it lying around for any length of time. Other than that, I really like it. -

I first tried DAVIDsTEA's Hot Chocolate tea in the Advent calendar and it quickly became a favourite - it is absolutely delicious. I've tried a few 'chocolate' teas before from other brands that were disappointing, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this one but I was impressed. It's a mix of puerh and black teas with lot of chocolate chip, nips and curls. It does also contain Stevia but I have no problem with that. The flavour is fudgy and rich, and the best part is it lends itself to multiple infusions quite well as puerh teas tend to do. -

My first impression wasn't all that favourable, but with a little tweaking and adding a bit of sugar it did make for a very enjoyable infusion. The cranberry flavour is pretty dominant and makes this tea tart, but it's also warm and sweet. -
