I got this item for free to review from Chick Advisor. Initially hearing the name "oat mask" I imagined the homemade type masks of the past with the large chunks so was pleasantly surprised by the smoothness of this mask. It was easy to apply evenly and I appreciated the instruction that it may not completely dry as so many other masks tell you to wait for it to dry but don't say how much to apply so you end up waiting forever (or washing it off early with no idea if you just defeated the purpose of the mask). I found it did completely dry and then was a bit difficult to wash off requiring a cloth and a bit of scrubbing. I also found the scent to be a bit overwhelming with it being applied to the entire face (and very near both nostrils. It's a pleasant scent but still made me cough a bit (which continued until the mask was completed removed). The final result made my skin feel a bit softer though I didn't see any visible signs of the detoxifying properties the variety I tried was to have nor the "noticeably nourishing" properties that was supposed to be "from the very first scoop". Perhaps I just needed to use it for longer. -

I am a fan of this brand/brewery and when I saw they finally had a table at my local farmers market I was eager to try a few of their newer products. Picking up this product and briefly looking at the can, I was expecting a classic shandy (a light beer mixed with lemonade). The images on the can only show lemons. It's not until you get reading the teeny fine print, or take a drink that you realize this is not the case. This is a "twist on the classic" with added "hints" of honey and ginger. For myself the ginger over powers everything and this is more of an alcoholic ginger ale. I have a hard time picking up any of the lemonade and pretty much none of the honey. Just ginger, ginger, ginger. (which isn't a flavour I'm fond of and wouldn't have picked up if I had read the fine print). If that's a flavour you enjoy no doubt you'll like this "shandy" which is refreshing and smooth in nature. -

I picked up a can of this beer from the brewery and it wasn't what I expected. With the word "bleuets" in the title (french for blueberry) and and blue colour of the can, I was thinking this beer would have some blueberry mixed in there somewhere. I was wrong. Which had I read the ingredients I would have also guessed this as well (though I would still have wondered if it was one of those ingredients that gets dropped from the list because it has an insufficient quantity). It does however have ingredients such as "2-Row" and "Brett D" which are foreign to me. As for the flavour of the beer itself I found it quite bitter which I didn't care for and don't usual encounter. Maybe it's the "barrel funk" they rave about in the description of this beer on the brewery's website? They also mention hints of melon and citrus which I couldn't discern either. -

Generally I expect to taste hops and if there is too much it makes me sneeze. However this beer though it does have hops it is a subtle flavour that is masked mostly by a citrus one. I was expecting the lime to be stronger by it isn't. Just enough. I picked up a can of this lager while I was on holiday so won't be able to repurchase any time soon but would definitely do so if it was available more locally. Also at only 3.5% alcohol I could see it being a nice refreshing addition to a summer party. -

I received this product from ChickAdvisor for free to review, I tested it on my own as friends/family we unavailable at the time to join me. On the packaging it explains that the product can be use as a cleanser more frequently, or less frequently as a mask. I like the versatility of this single product. It's scent is present yet light, it goes on smoothly and is simple enough to use. However I would prefer if the product would come in a squeeze type container rather than the pot to make closing easier and less messy (once your fingers are covered in the product from applying). Both as a cleanser and mask the product provided a gentle tingle on the skin but when used as a mask the tingle lasted longer (even after rinsing the product off). I would continuing to use this product as a cleanser but found it was too drying for my skin as a mask, it made my dry patches more flaky, and left my skin feeling tight and a little inflamed. It was hard to judge how effective this product was on reducing my breakouts. Potentially this would become evident with extended usage of the product. -

This lemon shandy seems to not be a mix of lemonade and beer as I expected but instead maybe just lemon juice and a weak beer. I found I had a hard time tasting the beer component at all, instead just tasting a bland, watery, lemon alcoholic beverage. With so much head so matter how it is poured. I would not recommend this product or purchase it again. -

As always I appreciate local (or somewhat local) businesses, brewed in Mahone Bay, NS, and want to try out their products. This pale ale boasts being "made entirely with German Huell Melon hops, imparting notes of summer melon and ripe strawberry." I however unfortunately don't taste any of these fruity notes. I instead find the hobs flavour which is "dry-hopped to infuse the beer with additional fresh hop flavour and aroma" to be the predominant flavour which I find, personally, to be a bit strong for a "pale ale". If a hoppy beer is what you are going for I'm sure this will be a very enjoyable beer however for those looking for the the fruity flavours to be more prominent this isn't the beer for them. Thus not one I would likely repurchase. -

I enjoyed the robust flavour of the beer that is expected from a porter. Hints of coffee and even more subtle hints of chocolate were present (mostly in the aftertaste - initially didn't pick them out at all), but no matter how hard I tried to pick out any pecan notes were unsuccessful (even with natural pecan flavouring noted in the ingredients). I would recommend this beer for robust, strong beer & coffee fans but not for those looking for a particularly unique pecan pie-y beer. -

I tried this item for free through chickadvisor (#gotitfree) I liked how convenient it was and that it didn't have the same powdery/vitaminy taste I come to expect from protein and other nutritional shakes. I did find however this if I drank this too early in the morning it made me cough as the product hung around in my throat area, a phenomenon I didn't experience with the chocolate variety of this product. -

I received this product from ChickAdvisor to review. #gotitfree I found it comparable to other premixed protein shakes I have tried. It wasnt too sweet and didnt have much of a powdery/vitaminy aftertaste which was much appreciated. This product was a great grab and go option for a quick breakfast in the morning. Of the chocolate and vanilla (of the same brand) I prefered the chocolate flavour though would prefer maybe a strawberry flavour if one existed. -
