I received a teeny sample size of this product - I suppose I am now at the age of having to worry about wrinkles and the like, and I do have some lines coming. I have tried some other wrinkle-eraser-type creams before, with disappointing results.
This one is pretty thick and is to be used at night. They recommend it be applied all over the face and décolletage - at $130 for 1.7 oz, that seemed more than a bit wasteful, so I decided to only put it where I see the wrinkles starting - frown lines, laugh lines and marionette lines. It applies smoothly, had a silky texture and a pleasant scent (very very faint). And I started to see a difference in just a few days!
My sample is gone, but I am strongly considering buying a jar. The price has me wavering. If money was no object though I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil is the best hair oil I have ever used — maybe it’s a stupid thing to complain about, but usually hair serum is just, well, oily and gross (to me) and to get it off my hands I have to SCRUB and SCRUB for like TEN MINUTES (even as a kid, I always hated having stuff on my hands). Not so this time, this comes off my fingers relatively quickly (still have to lather up a couple of times, but that’s fine). It’s got a strangely dry feeling to it, not oily at all, and hoo boy does it make my hair gorgeous! Totally counteracts how dry my hair has been getting! And you don’t need to use much, I only use a tiny dab on my fingertip, the bottle is pricey but well worth it. -

Way back in 2012 I got this kit at Shoppers Drug Mart, which at $95 seemed quite pricey to me, but I suppose it makes sense if you already get your nails done at a salon, where a gel nail manicure will run you at least $30, and they charge for removal as well. Unlike some other at-home LED gel kits I've seen, it came with everything needed to get started: LED lamp, cleanser, primer, base/top coat, colour (I chose Scarlet Red), lint-free wipes, a cuticle-pusher stick and mini emery board, along with instructions and a quick reference card.
The instructions suggest doing both thumbs completely first, then one hand, then the other. Rough up the shine on your nails, cleanse, prime and air-dry (like 30 seconds or so, really fast), then base coat and cure for 30 seconds, then colour and cure for 60 seconds, then a second colour coat/cure, top coat and cure for 30 seconds, wipe with cleanser, done! And OMG so shiny and hard and awesome! Lasts for a good long time, if you do it right it won’t chip for more than a week.
Proper removal is not as damaging as some people say. First you have to scuff up the top of your polished nails – you have to break the seal of the gel topcoat or else the remover won’t do any good. Then you soak cottonballs with acetone and let that eat into the polish – I got some cheap fingertip clampy things to hold the cottonballs to my nails, but you can easily use tinfoil instead. I left it on about 10 or 15 minutes. Then you get out your orange stick and scrape, scrape, scrape! Seriously though, it’s not all that much ‘scraping,’ really more just pushing the loosened polish layers off. It leaves your fingers and nails pretty dry though so have copious amounts of hand cream and nail/cuticle oil standing by.
Overall, I'm super impressed and kind of in love.
If you have money to burn, definitely get it; if money is tight, you can still swing it with Optimum points. Did I mention that I got the kit, and an extra polish, for $12.40 that way?

last year I decided to visit a colourist to have my super dark hair professionally bleached and ‘oil-slicked’ and it was amazing. But I couldn’t afford to see her more than twice a year - so what to do between visits? Enter L’oreal Colorista! Great colours available but I chose Teal, and it’s amazing. Unlike more permanent options, there’s no mixing involved, so you don’t have to discard your tube after you’ve used it - just keep it for next time! Comes with a brush (which I didn’t bother with) and gloves. Easy peasy - apply, leave for 20 minutes or so, add cool water, lather, rinse, lightly shampoo. Works great on lightened hair (my bleached parts are only in sections) and sit still well on dark. Lasts 4-10 washes, which is a great amount of time. Personally, for the first 3 washes I put a towel over my pillow in case of transference. LOVE IT. -

What’s not to love about these wipes? They work on every surface and with every mess. Water stains in the sink? Hand smudges around the lightswitch? Food spills in the kitchen? A little too enthusiastic about cook times in the microwave? These disinfecting wipes are amazing. I’ve been using them forever, both at home and at the office. And the lemon scent is refreshing. -
