I have been tasting a lot of bad protein bars lately as I have been trying to find one that I like enough that I can regularly add it as a snack to my day.
I am really impressed with PC's protein granola bars! They have more carbs and sugar and less protein than typical protein bars, but the taste is amazing and worth the extra calories.
I can honestly say that these bars taste just like a regular granola bar, but they pack 11 g of protein and 6 g of fibre for only 160 calories.
There are only 4 bars in a package, but the box is usually $3 or less. So it still works out to being less than $1 per bar which is really inexpensive for protein bars.
These are worth trying if you are not on a super restrictive eating plan and can eat the extra carbs and fat.

I was really excited to see these cookies at my health food store, as I am trying to get more protein in my diet and less sugar. The nutritional facts are impressive:
16 g Protein
10 g Fiber
No high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners
Vegan
Unfortunately it was very bland taste-wise. The texture was perfect, similar to a starbucks cookie, but it wasn't sweet at all and had a strange fake taste that I often notice in protein bars.
I was bummed that this didn't end up being a replacement for regular cookies, but I would be open to trying other flavours in case they are better.

I have been looking for great tasting protein bars as I have been advised to up my protein intake. Bars are fast and easy, especially if I get busy at work and don't have much time for lunch.
I picked up this vegan protein bar at my local health food store and was impressed by the nutritional value: 16 g protein, 16 g fiber and 4 g sugar. I am not a huge fan of chocolate protein bars, so I decided on the Cashew Coconut. It looked really tasty when I opened the package, and the initial taste was a little bland, but otherwise okay. Unfortunately after chewing the bar has a very gritty texture that stays in your mouth even after you have swallowed.
I would not recommend this bar based on the taste and gritty texture.

My esthetician introduced me to the Pevonia brand. I always found that when I go to her for a facial I leave with brighter skin with absolutely no irritation. She uses Pevonia products and sent me home with a sample of the cleanser and moisturizer.
This cleanser has completely changed the way that I view cleansers! I never thought that as someone with oily, acne-prone skin I could use a creamy cleanser, but the combination of the gentle exfoliant and moisturizing base makes my skin look so bright and soft!
This cleanser is hard to find as it is not sold at Sephora or Shoppers, and it is $40 a bottle, but it is worth the investment. I highly recommend trying a sample if you can.

I tried a Hershey's Cookie and Caramel bar when I was in the US and I really liked it! So I was very excited when I saw that they were now available in Canada.
I was hoping it would be closer to Hershey's Cookies and Cream chocolate bar (which is a favourite), but I found these a little too sweet. They are very rich and decadent and I was surprised that one satisfied my craving.
If you have a super sweet tooth, you will probably like these.

I could not wait to try the Love Beauty and Planet product line as soon as I saw them all over in stores. The price was more than I was prepared to pay for shampoo, conditioner or body wash, so I printed a $1 off coupon and waited for a good sale.
I ended up scoring a few of the products from ChickAdvisor when they had their grab bag sale and was super excited to try them out!
This shampoo works fine, like any drug store shampoo, but I was mostly disappointed with the scent. I try to use natural products and was hoping that it would smell like essential oils, but it has a strong perfume smell instead.
I have been using this shampoo for a few weeks, and will continue to use it until I empty the bottle, but then I will return to my regular shampoo.

I bought this as part of the Happiness Diffuser Blend Collection at Saje and was surprised by its unique scent. The mint comes through the strongest for me, but then I also notice the lemon which provides a clean, citrusy smell.
I like to add this to my diffuser at night when I am trying to unwind from the day, but I want to be alert for a few more hours before bedtime.
This is a unique scent, so I would recommend smelling it in the store before purchasing, but if it appeals to you - you will love it!

This came as part of the Happiness Diffuser Blend Collection that I purchased the first time I shopped at Saje. I add 5-8 drops to my diffuser and let it fill the room with the fresh scent of lemon, grapefruit and neroli.
If you are a citrus fan, you will love this! It has an amazing clean and refreshing smell and will brighten your room up instantly. I find it also helps to clear my head after a long day at work and it is gently energizing as well.

This was the first product that I purchased at Saje and it will likely be a permanent fixture in my medicine cabinet. I prefer to use natural remedies over medication in general, and as soon as the salesperson applied the Halo on the back of neck I was sold!
It smells incredible and fresh. Though I don't really use it as a headache remedy, I apply it to the back of my neck to help with stress and tension.
I love the roller, especially that it can be refilled. I have been specifically trying to buy environmentally products lately and love that I don't have to throw this away when it is empty.
The price seems high, but this is a very high quality brand and you only use a few drops at a time. I feel like this is something worth treating yourself to.
Another great tip that the salesperson shared with me is to put a drop on one of your palms, then rub your hands together. Hold your cupped hands up to your nose and mouth area and take 3 deep breaths. This will clear your sinuses and help to elevate your mood and energy level.

I originally had no intention of trying this brand - as sugar alcohol is one of the ingredients and this can have a negative effect on the digestive system. But I have been eating a lot of ice cream this summer and decided to see if I was missing out on anything.
The texture was very light, not dense like Hagen-Dazs. It was very aerated and even the pint felt light compared to other brands. There was a mild espresso flavour and the caramel was sweet and slightly salty.
I was impressed that there was no weird after taste, and overall I thought it was a great flavour. I did notice that it melted quickly, however, and I was eating it inside after taking it directly out of the freezer, so it wasn't like I was eating it outside on a hot day. The downside to having it melt quickly is that it has a very foamy texture after it melts, which I did not like.
Overall, I probably wouldn't buy this again, I will stick to my Hagen-Dazs.
