A few brands have recently come out with mug cake mixes and I have been trying them all, as they are such a great idea for a quick snack to satisfy a sweet tooth.
Betty Crocker's Confetti mug cake was the first one that I tried and I was pretty disappointed. It had a very strong eggy smell when I took it out of the microwave and it really wasn't pretty.
The icing was the yummy Betty Crocker icing that we are all familiar with, and it helped to cover the taste of the actual cake. I was not a fan of how the cake turned out, it tasted as eggy as it smelled and it didn't have any recognizable flavour.
I would pass on this mug cake and try Duncan Hines' offerings instead.

Mug cake treats have been a trend on Pinterest for the past few years, and though they are a great option for a single serving dessert there is still the same amount of prep involved as making a whole batch of muffins or a full cake.
I was recently in the grocery store and saw that Duncan Hines now offers not only mug cakes, but muffins and brownies as well. I was reluctant to try them, but I had a coupon, so I picked up a pack of their single serving blueberry muffins.
It was super easy to make, took a minute in the microwave and I was very surprised with how tasty it was! I thought it would taste gross because it smelled very eggy when I took it out of the microwave, and it definitely didn't look appetizing, but it was really good!
The texture was super fluffy like a perfect muffin and the blueberry flavour was better than most store-bought options.
I would definitely recommend trying these, next I would like to try their coffee cake option.

I decided to start adding chlorophyll to water again to let my body slowly, and gently detox. I have previously used mint flavoured liquid chlorophyll and it tastes great, so I decided to try some different flavours.
The apple is not great! The natural taste of the chlorophyll (which is really earthy) was not muted by the green apple flavour. It basically tasted like an apple rolled in dirt.
I would definitely recommend the mint flavour though, as it is refreshing and liquid chorophyll has many great benefits!

I used to eat Larabars all the time when I was focused on healthy eating, but I haven't tried them in awhile. The grocery store had Larabars on sale for 99 cents so I decided to try a new favour - coconut cream pie.
It was surprisingly tasty! I love that Larabars contain real ingredients and provide good fats and fiber. It was not overly coconutty or too sweet and definitely worth trying if you are looking for a quick snack that is filling.

I have heard about the amazing benefits of magnesium before, but have never had the need to take it. I am trying to get on a better sleep schedule and as a result, I decided to try Natural Calm.
I bought a sampler pack that allows you to try each flavour and was impressed with how quickly I began to feel sleepy and relaxed. When I woke up the next morning, I still felt relaxed (and not anxious as I sometimes do).
The best part about Natural Calm was that I slept well and it was a natural sleep. (When I have tried melatonin in the past I kept me from dreaming which didn't feel natural).
I would recommend trying Natural Calm if you are looking for something natural to help you relax and sleep at night.

I was excited when I saw this new option from Doritos - I bought the smaller personal-sized bag in case I didn't like them.
I was happily surprised that they were not overly spicy as some guacamole flavours are. They have a great, creamy and rich flavour with a hint of spice and a good amount of garlic.
The chips have a weird green coating which isn't the most tempting look, but the flavour makes up for it.

Kit Kat Mint Chocolate Bars

I would not try this again, but if I see the mini Mint Kit Kat bars, I WOULD buy those.

I was very excited to try this chocolate bar, Kit Kat is one of my favourite chocolate bars to indulge in, and I absolutely love coffee in all of its different forms.
As soon as I opened the package, I could smell the coffee flavour (it is more of an espresso than coffee flavour) and was instantly excited to bite into my first bar. However, the combination of all of the flavours was not what I was expecting.
Overall, I find this bar way too sweet (which is surprising for me as I have quite the sweet tooth), and I didn't think the coffee/espresso flavour paired well with the chocolate at all.
Bottom line: buy a Coffee Crisp instead, a much better combination of coffee and chocolate.

If you are looking for a healthier snack option, just eat some fruits or veggies.
