Yeah, if I'm looking to do a Spa Night at my place when I don't have a date, I may use this stuff. And wallow in self depreciation and self pity while I sip red wine.

THIS is the place for the ULTIMATE EYEBROW EXPERIENCE. Tired of having eyebrows that look like punctuation or furry, European friends instead of coiffed, movie star eyebrows? I was too. So for the last YEAR (I shit you not), I've been going here for my brows. And I can't TELL you how many compliments I've had on my chic brows since. At The Brow House, you get 'an eyebrow consultation'....which translates into a eyebrow consultant aesthetically assessing your face, bone structure, eyebrow shape and damage (there have been some BAD brows I've seen roll up in there) and together structure a plan on what you want in conjunction with what works best for your face. Their number 1 rule is to NOT touch your brows inbetween appointments (approx. once every 4-6 weeks) and for some women, this is sheer torture. BUT, if you listen to the advice, and do what they say, you WILL have amazingly, beautiful eyebrows. Trust me, they don't just pluck and send you off. They spend time with you and really help you to understand how important your brows are. Yeah, it's on the expensive side ($25 a session or you can buy packs of 3 for about $60) but isn't worth paying for something that is SO good? Absolutely. Admittedly, I am a brown Nazi now. And yes, I'm sitting here judging all of your brows now. -

I don't know if I've been drinking WAYYYY too many Americanos lately but at any rate, my eye twitches have been off the charts. I was talking to my chiro and she suggested that perhaps I needed more magnesium in my diet (apparently as women, we don't have enough) to help with stress levels, so I set out to find something from the Health Food Store. The tree hugger at the Health Food Store suggested I try this product. Basically tasteless and put it into either water or tea and it dissolves instantly. When I asked what would happen after ingesting this, she suggested that I'd literally feel an instant calm come over me and that muscles would relax if I was tense or feeling stressed. I practically laughed in her face but bought it anyway. I went home that night, contemplated putting in a glass of red wine, and then opted for putting it into a cup of herbal tea. I shit you not, within 5 sips of my tea, I had this instant relaxation response and all of a sudden I felt this calming come over my body. It was kind of freaky actually because I didn't expect such a quick action (or any action at all for that matter). Anyway, this has become one of my nightly routines and it totally helps decompress after a day from hell at work. TOTALLY worth the coin. -
Now if I could only use it to erase my bad decisions and choices.

This product rocks for daily showering. It has just enough moisture in it to make your skin feel soft and supple - no more over perfumed sandpapery feeling after a shower. There are some products that you just keep going back to over and over and over regardless of what products come onto the market. This will be one of them. -

I work in health care and can't go to work overly smelly (in a good way) so I had to come up with a new way to smell nice but not smell too much. So, I have a new love affair with body creams. I've been testing out a few different ones, but most after applied, lose their scent and by the end of the day, you can't smell them at all. Bath & Bodyworks creams are different - once applied, they smell good....and the scent stays with you for the entire day. Put it this way, one day after work, I ended up hooking with a friend and as he greeted me with a kiss on my cheek, he said "You smell so good". So, yeah, these work. Plus they make your skin feel like silk and they come in soooo many different smells and scents. One for everyone. Depending on your skin, lotions, creams and butters are all available AND they have frequent sales and they also sell matching shower gels and candles in the same scents if you like a particular one. Totally worth $11. -

I've been reading lately about how to use these special "bungee cord" elastic grips to use instead of your standard elastics for putting up your hair. So I went on a quest to find them. First of all, no one knew what the hell I was talking about when I asked if they had them, which was annoying. Finally after going in countless stores, beauty salons and the like I happened to come across them at Sally Beauty Supply Outlet. On everything I've been reading they're supposed to be so "easy" to use and they're supposed to make your ponytails tighter and easier to adjust onto your head. Lemme tell you something....I have TWO, not FOUR hands. I couldn't even get the stupid ends to clip because I was so busy trying to fix all the hair that was falling out of my hands. If you have a personal hair stylist at your house every morning, yeah .... sure I can see how these would be awesome. But for chicks like me - single and without a stylist, these elastics are annoying. Stick to your normal non-slip hair elastics, ladies...and go buy yourself a latte with the money you save. -

The more people tell me about how important having brushes are (both for make up and hair) the more I'm starting to believe them. I just bought this awesome teasing brush. It is so easy to use, comfortable to hold and actually DOES job of give you the volume that you want when you're teasing out your hair. So often I've used those lame rat-tail combs and they never really give the volume that I want or need to get my hair looking the way I want it. Anyway, this Teaze brush actually DOES that. Plus it's 7 bucks - so, SO worth the coin. And it also has a skinny handle so you can use it to part or section your hair. The brush is sold at Trade Secrets too...but double the price there. (read: rip off). Seriously get one of these, ladies. It's awesome! -

Why the HELL did I wait this long to buy hair extensions? I mean, I already have long hair so I always thought, why bother? They look cumbersome and I don't have that much time to mess around with styling and stuff. WELL, was I wrong. I finally caved and bought my first set of Lovely Length hair extension. Ladies, firstly I CANNOT tell you how EASY they are to use. You simply clip them onto your head. Seriously...THAT easy. They're real hair, so you can curl them, straighten them and do whatever you would do to your own hair to these. They make pony tails look SO much more full, braids WAY more thick and if you want those long, luscious Kim Kardashian curls ..... all of a sudden you can actually rock them. They may look hideous in the pic, but trust me....they are AMAZING. All I've been doing lately is Youtubing "hair extension styles" and have been learning all about different styles to wear. If you don't have hair extensions, seriously invest. I can't tell you how awesome this product is to have in a woman's beauty arsenal. -
