bought this lipstick today. I needed to find a nice light, fresh colour for the spring/summer. Usually I don’t buy Revlon really. But this was a nice nude tone that suited my skin tone. (ivory with peachy undertones) I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a lot of yellow or burnt orange undertones or else it’ll look a little bizarre and too contrasting. If you have a cooler more pink tones to your skin then pick a shade in that family. Just make sure you exfoliate and moisturize your lips like crazy before application. And apply a natural tone liner so it doesn’t look so monochromatic. Nude lips look best with a nice smoky eye or a natural lid with thick black liner.
The product itself is really nice and creamy for applying. (I often find matte lipsticks too drying on my lips) It also doesn't have a nasty perfumed taste like most drugstore lipsticks. The only thing I found is that it's pretty pricey for a drugstore line. But otherwise I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

I have been colouring my hair a bright red for almost a year now with a permanent product with my re-growth. But I find Manic Panic works wonderfully in between colours to re-freshen up the brightness when it fades from washing's and the sun, especially on my over processed ends. And it feels so soft and gentle while conditioning my hair during colouring's. I also absolutely love that it's vegan product! My only issue is that I find it a bit pricey at times in Canada,. especially when i see the prices online in the States where it's half the amount. But I still consider it the best product on the market for vibrant colours. -

I love NYX's eye shadow trios immensely. When I can't afford the higher end line i prefer it is my immediate go to right after for a more affordable product. The colours they sell together are always complimentary for blending techniques on, around your lid. And the price is so good considering you're getting 3 for 1 palette. I seriously look forward to more colours and products they come out with. -

I have tried pretty much all the low end drugstore brands to the high end lines and Make Up For Ever for me makes the best shadow I have experienced so far. All the colours are so vibrant and crisp. You don't need to put a lot on your brush for it to show up really well on your lid. Just a soft dusting and you're set to go. It also stays on really well during the day. And i always use their shadows to line on top of my eye liner to set the product from coming off or going cloudy around my eyes for a long lasting wear for the day. I personally own ten of their shades and I love them so much. -

This is probably the best lip gloss i have ever used in my entire life. It’s so moisturizing and soft on your lips. Plus even though it’s pricey you hardly need a dab to go a long way, so this little tube lasts forever. It also has a slight natural citrus taste, that doesn’t leave a nasty artificial taste on your tongue. Which has always been my problem with balms, glosses. I recommend it especially if you stay out in the sun a lot or get very dry and cracked lips in the winter as well. -

I can honestly say I've tried other store name flip flops because they were decorated more or had prints on them etc. And they fell a part within a month. But Old Navy's are so cheap but last forever. I have two pair right now I have had for three years. Which sounds a little gross, But they are super easy to clean with soap and water once they get dirty. Another thing i like about them is they actually fit my huge feet, where as other stores only carry smaller sizes. -

Although I love cosmetics immensely and trying out new techniques and products on myself and clients etc. I wouldn't ever label myself a 'girly' girl. So when it comes to anything glittery and myself, I am a little gun shy. And when it comes to any products with glitter I usually find that the glitter particles are too big and it looks clownish or they are too fine and you see more of a shimmer effect. But when it comes to my favourite eye shadows, Make Up Forever is my go to brand. I find their colours so nice and vibrant that you hardly have to use any on your brush. So a little eye shadow pot that costs sixteen dollars actually goes a long long way. So when I was looking for a gorgeous turquoise shade I immediately went to them. However, was disappointed when they were all out of the shade in the basic eye shadow product. But the cosmetician told me they had it in their 'Glitters' collection. I was so desperate for this exact colour that I said OK sure.
And I wasn't disappointed, the glittery shadow goes on silky and blends well with other colours on your eyelids for a dramatic effect when you want to go out. It also works really well if you use it as a liner with a flat angled brush, just to get a bit of the subtle effect otherwise. So even if you're not 'girly' or a huge fan of similar products I would definitely give it a try.

As a make-up artist and just being a typical girl. I always love trying out any new cosmetics. And one thing I have ALWAYS had a problem with is Acne and covering it up with varying foundations. Usually the ones I use from drug stores and more expensive cosmetic stores, cover it up well but leave my skin still oily and in fact make my zits even worse 99% of the time. But when I was bored one day and shopping in a mall, I went around being nosey in a drug store part of a Zellers and found Almay's Clear Complexion foundation. Which claims "BlemisHeal Technology™ contains salicylic acid to heal and conceal blemishes for a beautiful, even complexion." So I figure I had nothing to lose and gave it a try. From then on it has been my go to product always for hiding my acne and discoloration on my face. It does EXACTLY what it says, when I put it on in the morning it feels super light and conceals. But then when i clean it off before bed my blemishes are almost dried up and gone completely. I have never experienced a foundation like that since i started using make-up frequently at the age of 13. (now 26) So if you have a really hard time with acne etc I seriously you recommend you give this foundation a try. Plus they don't test on animals :) -

Usually I'm not someone who watches infomercials, in fact as soon as one pops up onto my television I make an 'Ugh' noise and immediately change the channel. However, due to unemployment circumstance needless to say i have a lot of free time on my hands. So I'd often get interested in a product called "The Magic Bullet" which is a bizarre name. But as I am someone always loving to make my own smoothies and drinks with fruit and juices etc in a pure and healthy way with out any of the crappy additives. But bringing out my old, heavy blender is such a pain in the butt to clean everyday especially when I actually have a social life. So I was starting not to make my typical smoothies for breakfast, lunch due to my laziness for not want to pull the blender a part and scrub everything.
But then I was reading my local paper and looking through the flyers and found the Magic Bullet was on for half price at Canadian Tire. And i had been given quite a bit of Christmas money and couldn't come up with a single thing to spend it on. I decided to be spontaneous and purchase it. And girls, I don't regret it AT ALL. This little machine is so powerful and easy to use. It grinds up ice for alcoholic beverages and completely blends fresh fruits, yogurts for smoothies. The best part is that there are only two pieces you need to clean after wards, i usually through the cup part into my dish washer. (top rack so its not too hot and wont melt the plastic) and use some soap, a brush on the blade part. Now I find myself having way more healthier drinks, desserts every day, I can't even tell you. I even add a little flax meal into my smoothies for extra protein and fibre. Seriously, was the best thing i bought this winter.
