My face is now more moisted and not dry since I start to use it. I use to be embarrassed of my dry skin but thanks to neutrogena I've got nothing to be ashamed of.

I have very short eyelashes & am always on the lookout for a great mascara. I have purchased this product a couple of times before & have found it to be a good buy for the price. I always found it tended to dry out quickly so I never managed to finish a tube but again because of the cheap price I still thought it was worth it, however the last time I did purchase a tube it was so dry I couldn't even get it to stick to my lashes. I thought maybe it was an old tube that had been overlooked on the store shelf. i then went to another store purchased another tube, same problem. Needless to say I would not purchase this product again, nor would I recommend it. It also makes me question the freshness & quality control of Rimmels products. -

Does not stay on any better than regular mascara (non-waterproof) I have used several waterproof mascara's in the past & they are usually impossible to remove at the end of the day. I gave this one a try because of the fair price & the well known product name. This mascara ended up smeared all around my eye within a couple of hours max. When I applied sunscreen on my eyelids the mascara ended up smearing all along my upper eyelids. -

I purchased this product because the bottle specifically states it is “ultra light. Non-shiny” & it won’t clog your pores. This is by far the greasiest sunscreen I have ever used. I find the products that are meant for your body to be less oily. On the plus side - it did give good sun protection. I also liked the fact that it didn’t contain any fragrance. I can’t comment on the dual defense claim that this product “helps to prevent the appearance of aging” as I have only purchased one bottle & don’t intend on continuing to use the rest of the bottle (or re-purchasing) as my face has broken out terribly. -

I heard about this mineral makeup online while researching a foundation that had good coverage, was good for oily acne prone skin, & was light for the summer months when you really don't want something heavy on your skin in hot humid weather. I am a die hard fan of M.A.C products and have been using their studio fix for the last 15 years, which I love but it is a little heavy for summer wear. Everyday minerals offers a sample kit for just $4.00 to pay for shipping which was incredible. You have a choice of 3 base colors for your foundation (lots to choose from a pretty hard to find the right color) 1 concealer, and 1 blush. I also added a sample of their kaolin powder for $2.50 that is made with clay and is supposed to control oil (you wear this under the foundation) the kaolin powder doesn't seem to have any effect on oil control for me. Out of the 3 base colors 1 of them was pretty good match. The coverage however is not very good, I would say it is more sheer (this is in the matte series which is supposed to offer good coverage) It does leave a powdery look to the skin so you can definitely see you are wearing makeup. When my skin does start to oil up the makeup does cake a bit. The concealer is made of the same ingredients as the foundation (I choose the multi tasking one) this didn't work at all. I did really like the blush which I choose in "new car smell" It is a nice peachy color that gives your cheeks a nice natural glow with just a bit of shimmer. I didn't have any reaction to these products at all, and I usually break out like crazy anytime I try something new on my skin. That was a plus. The samples are a fair size, enough that you can give them a good try. Overall I would say these products are just OK probably better for someone that doesn't have oily or combination skin, and is not looking for a lot of coverage. Definitely worth a try considering they are free. -

I recently visited Cute Salon & Spa 1140 Winston Churchill, Oakville, to have my hair highlighted. I decided on the salon because it was close by and after going into the place to ask about pricing it seemed like a fair price to pay. $75.00 for ½ head of foil highlights. Having attended hairstyling school myself I know this isn’t rocket science here, how bad could they possibly screw this up?To begin with I should have stayed away simply for the fact that in passing this place there never seems to be anyone in there (now I can see why) I went in with dark brown hair asking for some highlights on the top that were warm natural looking light brown and caramel tones. I specifically said I wanted something that looked natural and did not want it blond (I had even showed a couple of photos from one of their magazines of what I was looking for) I also asked more than once if I could have multiple shades put in and was assured this would not be a problem. My hair was going to be colored by The owner of the salon ** just as I had described and she was going to “style it nice for me”
THE HIGHLIGHTS:…The foils were put in bleach only, stayed in for only about 15 minutes and then were rinsed. At this point I thought it was time to add the color, instead I was taken to the chair where she began to blow dry my hair. When I asked her about putting the color in she said she had already done this. Since when did bleach become a hair color? At this point I still had some hope that it would turn out OK. In the end I ended up with brassy blond and orange highlights, big blobs of platinum blond in several spots on top of my head, and dark brown horizontal stripes down several of the highlights where the bleach didn’t take. To make matters worse my hair was fried and brittle.
THE STYLING…I have NEVER had my hair styled so poorly. My hair was dried about 50% at most just flipping the dryer around my head for a few minutes, no brushes or product. I then had the flat iron ran through it (still wet) When she got to styling my bangs I commented on how they were tricky to style (tricky not impossible), to which she replied “yes they are” and I guess at that point decided she couldn’t be bothered to do anything with them at all and told me I was done. Really I’m not one to spend a whole lot of time styling my hair, however I can honestly say I make a whole lot more of an effort than this, and I am not a professional getting paid for it either. This was the owner! No one else was in there, no excuse to rush like this.
THE ATMOSHERE…typical salon, nothing fancy, wasn’t offered beverages or a magazine to read. The only other client in there at the time was a friend of the other stylist’s so everyone in there spoke only polish the whole time. I found this unprofessional.
Needless to say I will not be returning to this salon. I hope this review will help others to avoid having the same experience.
