I received this for free from Chickadvisor to try and share my opinions. I am a girl who doesn’t do a lot to my hair on a daily basis, usually I just have some natural waves or slight curls from putting my hair in a top bun while still wet and leaving until dry.
I usually will spray my hair with a hairspray to try and hold these waves/loose curls for as long as possible. The biggest compliant I have with my regular hairspray is how hard it makes my hair and how it gives it an overall unnatural look and texture.
I found this hairspray however to have a light mist that didn’t leave my hair wet at all and no matter how much product I used there was no stickiness left behind at all. Further more I was even more impressed when I could still run my fingers through my hair without creating any tangles.
This has a light hold but that’s expected with the level 1 spray but I’m extremely happy with the results and I know for sure that I will use a ton of this spray this summer when recreating beachy hair. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for light hold with very natural looking results. Ps. This smells really nice as well!

I was looking for healthier snacks for in between meals and I kept hearing about steel cut oats so I went to Sobeys and found this tub from Quaker for about $6.00. When cooking this on the stove top they didn’t take long to cook at all, I like my oats really thick so I cooked them for about 5 minutes.
I quickly realized that these on their own have zero taste to them but it’s fine because I had things I wanted to add to them anyway. I have eaten these oats with bananas and peanut butter, blueberries and honey and also raspberries and cinnamon.
These are extremely filling and I discovered that I shouldn’t eat them too close to suppertime because I will still be full from having these, So I have them mostly around lunchtime. These are a great healthy option and one that I will continue to eat as long as I have tasty toppings.

Ok so I have been trying really hard not to eat any “junk food”, the summer is quickly approaching and I want to feel overall more healthy. I like granola bars but usually find that the taste isn’t worth all the calories or sugar, then I tried these.
These are by far the best granola bars I’ve had in a very long time. I picked them up because they were on sale at sobeys ($1.99) and I figured I would give them a try. There are 5 bars in this box and I have eaten one a day since purchasing them, I wanted to eat the whole box the first day but somehow restrained myself.
The yogurt coating on the bottom adds the perfect amount of sweetness and the fruit really give this bar a great chewiness. It’s been 5 days so I went and repurchased them so I wouldn’t have to be without and noticed they also offer a chocolate variety, so of course I got those too. Honestly, these are really great tasting bars and I don’t see myself getting sick of them anytime soon.

So I have been having smoothies everyday for over a month now and when I started I was looking for something to add to them to cut some of the bitterness from the frozen fruit and mask the taste of all the kale and spinach I use.
I know that adding fruit juices isn’t the best when trying to have healthy smoothies but I figured this juice having 50% less sugar and calories would be the best option for me. I only add about 1/4 cup of this to my smoothie and it does the job perfectly, this juice on its own is a little bitter but I tend to just have it in my smoothies.
I buy this at sobeys for about $5.50ish and considering how little I use daily it lasts me quite a while. It’s been over a month and I only just purchased my second bottle, this is now one of my go to products when grocery shopping and I would highly recommend it.

I have been trying a bunch of new products from Lush and I was very curious about this 9 to 5 cleansing lotion, it’s one of the few lush products that I havent heard about before trying. I decided to purchase the 250 ml bottle for $22.95 so I was really hoping it was a decent product.
I followed instructions and just applied this lotion to my face with a cotton pad. One thing I’m always curious about is whether or not certain cleansers can be used on the eye area which is one of the hardest parts considering I wear eye makeup. This removed my eye makeup easier than my normal product, (Nivea micellar water) and it didn’t cause any irritation whatsoever. I was truly surprised by this.
This leaves a light layer of a lotion feel which doesn’t matter because I always go over my face with a warm cloth to prep my skin for a toner and moisturizer. I’m really happy with this product and I’m glad I got the large size because this will last me forever considering not much product is needed at once.

I was given this protein bar for free from Chickadvisor to try and share my opinion. I have been trying to be more healthy with summer quickly approaching and therefore looking for ways to add additional protein to my diet without having to cook.
I found this protein bar to be super chewy and it’s also super sweet like the other variety of protein bar. This bar has almonds and there were lots of big pieces of them in each bar which I like. This protein bar is defiantly something I could eat on a regular basis and not get sick of but that being said I do prefer the other flavor variety of this same bar. (Cashew, salted caramel and dark chocolate).
I consumed this in the early afternoon when I was planning on doing a bunch of house work so I was doing a lot of running around and heavy lifting and felt energized and never felt like I was getting hungry which is great. I would buy these again in the future but only if the other flavor variety wasn’t available but they really are some of the best protein bars I’ve ever tried.

I received this for free from Chickadvisor to try and share my opinion and I was very eager to do so. I have been trying to find a protein bar that I would be willing to consume on a regular basis, I tend to dislike others I’ve tried after having them a few times.
I have never noticed any of the other protein bars to be plant based protein which I think is fantastic. I liked that this bar wasn’t completely coated in chocolate just the bottom, which is just enough in my opionin. This had cashews, salted caramel and dark chocolate (along with a bunch of other great ingredients) which is a great flavour combo.
I found this bar to be very dense and chewy and I love the different textures from the caramel and the nuts. I find that a lot of protein bars taste like a protein bar (ok but not that appetizing) but this actually tasted like more of a “treat”. It’s really sweet with a strong taste of caramel which I really like.
I ate this after breakfast around lunch time when I knew I would be away from home for at least a few hours and I felt like it defiantly held me over until I got home for supper. I would for sure purchase these on my next grocery trip. Super yummy!

I recently purchased this carrot soap from lush for the first time as part if their Easter collection. I immediately thought it was super cute and at $4.95/100g it’s their cheapest solid soap bar.
When I received this it seemed to be a hefty chunk of soap and it has a very nice light tangerine scent, oh and it also creates an orange lather which is cool. I found this to lather very well (with a wash cloth) and it didn’t irritate my skin or leave any residue behind.
The only slight negative is that this bar of soap defiantly won’t last very long, I’ve only used it 3 days in a row and it is half gone already. So I’ll provably get a week or so with this bar but it really is a neat looking soap and FYI kids love it too!

I have been purchasing many new items from lush over the past month or so and let the good times roll face and body cleanser was one item I was very eager to try. When I received it I was very surprised by the appearance of the cleanser, it’s yellow and looks like putty.
It’s smells amazing! I’ve heard the scent described in many different ways but I think it’s like some kind of cookie batter. You take a small lump of this product place it in your palm and add the slightest amount of water to form a paste. I then would apply it to my face/neck and sometimes my chest and shoulders.
This has a light exfoliation as well which helps soften the skin. I have sensitive skin and have not had any kind of negative reaction to this at all and I’ve used it everyday since receiving it. I purchased the 100g tub for 12.95 and I would say it has lasted a month or so. I would defiantly purchase this again.

Being a new comer to lush and being super addicted already this scrubee body butter product was one of the products that I had heard about so many times before I got the chance to try it myself. I finally ordered it online for $7.95 and I was so eager to try it, right out of the plastic it’s one of the best smelling products I’ve purchased from lush.
I tried this in the shower and almost immediately was surprised at how creamy this is, a lot of product is left behind on the skin, maybe a tad too much. I understand it’s a body butter but I was finding myself trying to tone down on the left behind residue after applying it to my skin. I loved that this also has little scrubby bits in it as well, it adds a light layer of exfoliation.
That being said once I was out of the shower and had pat myself dry it felt amazingly soft and nourishing. This is a product I will defiantly continue to use but instead of rubbing the actual bar of product directly to the skin I will rub the bar between my hands and then apply to other parts of my body by hand. If you shop at lush you should defiantly try the scrubee, if you havent already.
