I was surprised when I went to my local Safeway to get this product because, until I saw the product in the store, I didn’t realize that there were two different kinds of cones in each box. The flavors of fillings are the same in each but there are both plain sugar cones and chocolate sugar cones that contain the ice cream in each box. This made me even more eager than I already was to try this product.
I started with the plain sugar cone. The top doesn’t look like the picture on the box. Rather than having alternating drizzles each of chocolate and caramel, the topping was more like just solid chocolate, like the top of a Nanaimo square. But I can forgive it not looking like the picture. However, this was a bit harder to bite through, being a solid layer of frozen chocolate which you can’t let soften too long or the ice cream below that will melt all over the cone and your hand. I also found that it seemed like there was not a lot of caramel filling in the center, finding only a small bit of it nearer the bottom of the cone. However, I am willing to bet that in the eating of the cone part of the treat, when I was not necessarily looking for the center, that there was more there, and I just hadn’t seen it and the taste must’ve also somewhat blended into the ice cream. I am willing to bet this because I also tried the chocolate sugar cone variation directly after the first one and I did notice much more caramel filling in that one.
The taste of both versions of this cone and their fillings was very good, as I have come to know Chapman’s products to be, having tried many of their products in the past. I enjoyed the combo of both chocolate and vanilla ice cream and the cone kept it from dripping all over my hand as I ate it, provided I ate the bit that is past the top of the cone before it got melty.
Even though I #gotitfree courtesy of @Chapman’sIceCream and @Chapman’s_Canada, I also purchased another product of this type while I was at the store, just of a different flavor, and I also got the cherry center version and I am very much looking forward to trying that one out, too, because cherry is one of my favourite pairings with chocolate. Yum!
All in all, I am very pleasantly pleased with this product and will definitely be trying out more of these cones as well as other Chapman’s products. #TryChapmansCanada #ChapmansIceCream

Frozen pizza will never be my first pizza choice but when you just want something hot, good-tasting, and filling for dinner, this flavour and brand more than passes muster for me.

I don't remember how these compare to the name brand but that doesn't matter to me so much as taste. These are yummy granola bars so I can't complain.

I tried dried mango on the recommendation of a friend (the same friend who recommended the Halo Top, incidentally) who mentioned eating dried mango as one of his two sweet foods treats for what he likes to eat. When he mentioned it, I thought, "I like mango so I'm going to look for that at the grocery store next time I go." I found this mango but later also tried a few other brands in addition to this one. This one is delicious and I find it less sweet than the other brands I'd tried. This mango and another local store brand that I tried seem to be the less sweet of the varieties I've had. Because I try to limit my sugar intake, I would have this brand or the local store one, simply for that reason, if they were available at the time I was shopping. I would have the other brands if I were desperate for some dried mango. -

I looked for this in the store, based on a recommendation from a friend who lives the fit life but also loves ice cream. He said this was really good. I had to look a long time in the store (and it was supposed to have rolled out across Canada that month or the next, I don't remember for sure) but I finally, finally found it at my local Superstore. Yay! I have to say, J was right on the money. This was very tasty and even better for not being too guilt-laden. I look forward to trying other flavours in the future. -
I tried the plain "flavor", as it was an ingredient in a no-yeast pizza crust recipe I was trying. It worked and pizza was yummy so no complaints here. I would definitely make the pizza crust that way again and I'd have a look for other flavours... +

(But I saw another review on another site that says they aren't sold in Canada, so I don't know if I'll have good luck.) -
