I am a TV producer and I felt compelled to warn everyone looking to get hair extensions to do their homework on who are the best in town. Luckily "Is Salon" in Yaletown has some experts that can help make sure you don't make the same mistake I did. Here is a link to a segment I produced about how to pick what is right for your lifestyle and how you can avoid a horrible experience like mine. I strongly recommend Is Salon either Erin Moore or Liz Pederson will make sure you are looked after.

My Review:
I had a horrible at this place and felt mistreated by the owners sister/ office manager Fanta. Let's put it this way this is a women who doesn't think she's ever in the wrong even when I humbly was willing to share blame on what the original issue was. I asked for the extensions to be blended and my definition of blended is the colour is mixed well together and not large panels which is what I was given. I flagged this right away and the owner Yanie told me that its an easy fix and they can just add a few highlights to the darker panels of colour to blend them. The young girl who they got to do this over processed the hair and after 5 hours the first night and 2 hours the next day they still looked terrible. I had to get them taken out two days later when I was out of town. This cost me $100.
I asked for a refund... my trust in this company was not good... they refused but offered to do the extensions again. In the spirit of giving Mohair the benefit of the doubt I agreed but only clip ins. Smart move... this next set took two appointments and the colour while a nice match had a bunch of foil fold marks. Since they over sold me hair I was able to get a pony tail extension too... the quality of the hair is bad and frizzy... totally not wearable. Who wants to add horse hair to their head? Every time I brought this to their attention I was reminded that I changed the hair colour which in fact is not true, I asked for them to be more blended an instruction I gave at the time of consultation. This salon is not good at colour...in fact terrible and seem to think its okay to send their clients out with half ass job on the extensions. They do not understand customer service (even when they feed you how important it is to them they are telling you you are wrong... poor way to treat clients). They also do not understand that clients are the best walking advertisement they have.
I could go on and on about this... I was even told bleach washes out over time... as if its okay to send me out with extensions that has mistakes on them and hope they get better in time. Laughable.
DO NOT IGNORE MY POST... I hope that no one else has to go through what we went through... there is no excuse to treat people poorly, lie to them and rip them off.
I am sure a sweet as apple pie message from Yanie or Fanta will appear after this... its all an act people... I have tried to work this out with them coming on 3 months and countless hours to no resolve. They are not to be trusted with your hair!!!!!
