I liked the Pureology Curl Complete Shampoo and Conditioner, but it was nothing too groundbreaking. It made my hair very soft and didn't leave any buildup, which I loved. I also especially loved the smell. As far as curly hair goes (I have a 3b curl) it's great for restoring moisture and repairing dry and damaged hair. My only complaint is that for the price it wasn't working miracles or anything, but it is a good, high-quality product. -

I did not have a great experience with DevaCurl. It was okay, but I still felt like it left my head feeling greasy and not really cleansed. I thought maybe my head just needed to readjust to a non-foaming cleanser but I used it for a couple of months, with no better results, before giving up. I finally stopped because every time I washed my hair my curls actually got looser and looser- it was like I was getting a curl relaxer. So, if you're looking to tone down your curls this might work out for you, but if you're looking to love your curls DO NOT BUY THIS. Not worth the price. -

I absolutely love CurlSmith Curl Quenching Conditioning Wash. It's all-natural and made of ingredients you can actually pronounce (imagine that), and obviously paraben and sulfate-free. It is a non-foaming cleanser, and conditions while cleansing hair. I was skeptical to try it, especially because it can be a little pricey, but it is worth every penny! I've tried non-foaming cleansers before on my hair and never felt like they really worked (I'm looking at you, DevaCurl), but my hair always feels clean and hydrated after using CurlSmith. I also feel like my wash lasts longer, and I can go for nearly a week on one wash without my hair getting greasy or fuzzy, etc. Even though I felt like I had to use a lot when washing my hair, the 12 oz bottle has lasted me almost six months (!). My hair comes out really shiny with my curls very bouncy, and I haven't had any issues with product buildup like I always used to. I've tried a lot of specialized curly products (DevaCurl, Ouidad, Pureology Curl Complete) and this is by far my favorite. I definitely recommend using in conjunction with other CurlSmith products. My curl type is about a 3B and CurlSmith has been wonderful- like I said, more than worth every penny. -
