When my little guy started on solids, I considered making my own food for him but I didn't have the time to invest. I bought some jarred food for him. I always taste test before I give him anything. Most of the jarred food was either so bland or had a horrible mouth feel, I knew I would never want to eat it. I was not surprised when he didn't want to eat it either.
I looked for an alternative and found the Gourmet Baby baby foods. They come in a resealable pouch and are available in a variety of flavours. All are combinations of different fruits and vegetables and are made with organic ingredients. My little guy really enjoys cinnamon flavours and the Sweet Potato Pie gave him the sweet cinnamony taste he enjoyed. There are no sugars added and all the ingredients are all natural.
Highly recommend this brand for the busy mom who still wants her baby to enjoy eating.

I received this item as a gift and I have only used it as a play yard. My little one plays in it happily and safely when I am busy cooking or cleaning. It sets up easily and tears down to move or take along on trips very easily. It folds up quite small for a play yard and is not very heavy to carry. I was able to find play yard sheets that fit it at Wal-Mart for fairly cheap. It is worth the money. -

We received the Mamaroo as a shower gift and it was the BEST present we could have received. We purchased an infant insert that cradled our baby in a very soft padded fabric with a monster pattern on it. The pattern would be appropriate for a boy or a girl.
The seat itself has 5 different swinging patterns and the speed can be varied depending on what motion suits your child best. We used the car ride setting the most and it mimicked the motions of driving around with your child in the car. The seat also had a variety of soothing nature sounds and the volume could be controlled very easily. We used the white noise the most. This was a lifesaver on nights when the baby was very fussy and I couldn't get him to go back to sleep.
I highly recommend this seat for a new baby. It will help you get some sleep.

We bought the Fisher-Price Rainforest Friends Jumperoo for our son when he was around 5 months old and he loved it. He is small for his age and even on the lowest setting he was too short to reach the floor. We put a pillow under his feet and he was able to bounce happily after that. One of the advantages to this model was it had 3 different activities and a seat that swivelled. He was able to turn the seat on his own without our help and play with the different built in toys. He is 11 months old now and he still enjoys jumping in it. It is not a quiet toy but the amount of fun he has outweighs the noise factor. -

With sandal weather upon us, I decided to try Baby Foot foot peel in the hopes that I could prep my tender tootsies and strip away the hard Hobbit feet that I had somehow developed during the winter months.
It is very important to read all the instruction before starting to ensure that you get the best results. You should start with clean feet. For heavier calluses or really rough feet, it is recommended that you soak your feet for at least 10 minutes before putting on the booties full of ooey-gooey fruit acids that will take your feet from funky to fabulous.
I soaked my feet in warm soapy water, dried them off thoroughly and put the plastic booties on. I secured them with the supplied tape strips and then to really ensure good contact with the fruit acids I put some cozy fuzzy socks over top and sat down to relax for 1 hour. My ankles did get a bit itchy from the plastic booty and there was a bit of a tingle and a mild tenderness on the bottoms of my feet from the peel. No real pain but walking was definitely uncomfortable, partly because the goo in the booty was slippery and partly because the goo in the boot is acid.
At the 1 hour mark I thoroughly washed the fruit acids from my feet with soap and water. The peeling is not expected to occur for at least 5-7 days but i did notice that the skin on the bottoms of my feet were shiny and much smoother but the calluses were still present.
On day 4, the bottoms of my feet started to peel. At first it was just a light peeling but by the next day the bottom of my feet looked like a snake sloughing its skin. It was really gross but totally effective. Be careful not to try peeling the skin off by pulling it. You will leave tender patches and could cause damage to your foot skin. I found the best method to remove the peeling skin from my foot was to soak in the shower and lightly scrub my feet each day to remove the peeling skin. I had to wear socks around for the next 2 weeks to ensure that I didn't leave a trail of dried skin everywhere. Plus, it looks really bad while it is peeling but the skin underneath is so beautiful. Once the peel is complete, you will have beautiful soft feet. Totally worth the money and time.
