I was excited to try a dairy free ice cream style dessert that was also gluten free. I found the mouth feel reminiscent of cool whip edible oil product. Definitely does not have the peanut butter in ribbons or tiger stripes throughout the product as depicted on the container. The peanut butter is more of a chunk in the middle of the vanilla part. I scooped out a nice big bowl and about halfway through I felt like I had had enough: that grossed out feeling.
I bought it as a price match for $1.88 so not a huge loss. I won't buy it again.

We were out at a restaurant on Friday night when I ordered this wine for the first time. I normally go for an oaky California Chardonnay when I drink white but wanted to try something different and there was no California on the wine list.
I have to tell you it was love at first sip with the Megalomaniac Riesling. Fragrant, fruity but not too sweet.
I liked it so much, I bought the company!
Actually, that is a lie.
However, I did like it enough that we picked up a bottle on our way home and enjoyed that on our patio the next night.
I will be sure to pick this up again and again, especially when visiting friends and need a bottle of something white and refreshing.
The price was reasonable: $14.95 in Ontario.

I admit I am hard on my nails, and an unreformed nail biter and cuticle picker. I don't get my nails done often, unless it is a special occasion. When I do, I apologize to the nail lady and tip well.
This latest trip to the nail salon was for a family wedding and I wanted to do it up right. I found a super cute dress at a local consignment shop which I paired with my strappy black shoes with Swarovski crystals and even a fascinator.
I had heard that the queen, and now the newly minted Duchess Meghan, use a colour called Ballet Slippers by Essie, so naturally I had to as well: it was for a special occasion.
I think a lot of other ladies had also heard about the fact that Meghan Markle now uses this very lady like colour, as it took us four stores on a Friday night to find it. Finally, the Shoppers Drug Mart at our local mall had it. I am notoriously thrifty, shall I say, and balked at the price of $12.95, but it was for a special occasion.
I took it to the nail salon the next morning for my manicure and had them use it on my nails.
Normally I choose a paler than pale colour that does not show badly when my nails start to chip usually about two days after the manicure.
As I type this review it is now eight whole days and only one nail has a chip in it! Yesterday there were none.
I am totally amazed as this has never happened to me before.
Luckily, because I now own my own bottle of polish, I can easily fix the little chip and no one will be the wiser.
Yes, Essie is more expensive than the other brands but totally worth it. Now I understand why Queen Elizabeth herself swears by it. She is a smart lady.
I say, buy a bottle in your favourite colour and try this yourself.

I am recommending Plackers Twin-Line dental flossers. I have tightly spaced teeth and most floss or floss sticks get stuck and shred or break. These work really well. There are two floss lines instead of just one and a pop-out dental pick on the handle. I really hate conventional flossing: I suck at it. These are easy and convenient. Great to have on hand in the emergency purse kit. I recycle them since they are plastic. -

I'm not sure how we discovered Bush's baked beans, but we haven't looked back. They are a little more expensive than the other more well known brands, but it's about quality not price with some things. And we often find a price match deal and stock up. I don't eat pork, so we always buy the vegetarian variety. MMMMmmmmm...baked beans with eggs and hashbrowns on the weekend! -

I would say grab a bottle and try it for yourself while it is still under $11 a bottle, which is still a bargain. We found out about it when it was still only around $9.50. It is approachable and friendly. The perfect wine for movie nights at home with a bowl of popcorn. It is also available as a boxed wine, and an even better value. Again, keep on top of this one, because LCBO is catching on to how popular it is and the price will go up again. -

Because we are in Canada, Hydralyte, originally from Australia, can't tell you that it is a wicked hangover preventer/cure: but I can! There is also a clear lemonade flavour that can be used when you have to go on strictly clear liquids before medical testing. Other than that, you should always, always have some on hand for hydrating on the go. I took the sachets with me to the CNE last year and added to everyone's bottled water and was the instant hero of the day. Also come in fizzy tablets in a tube and ready-to drink liquid. Suitable for all ages. -
It has a light, pleasant scent, and doesn't go on feeling greasy. It feels smooth going on. I put it on every night before bed and in the morning before I put on socks or slippers and my feet stay nice and soft.

I have two go-to brands of chocolate and Lindt is one of them. The quality is excellent, and they have a vast array of different flavours. I prefer dark chocolate because it is high in antioxidants and other good things. I don't feel guilty indulging and two squares is usually enough to satisfy. The sea salt is subtle: just the right amount. It balances out the cocoa nicely. -
