This is a really nice product. It's a serum that smooths the end of your hair cuticle, sealing it off from damage and helping tame frizz and add shine. It's also got UV protection, so it acts like sunscreen for your hair. It makes my hair silky smooth and does help control frizz, and I also really like that it revives my hair. I only use it on my ends, but there's a noticeable difference; all my split ends look gone and my tips look very healthy. The bottle is super cute, and the smell is very girly and sweet. I don't use it that often, just when I'm in need of a cut and my ends are starting to look pretty hurt, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone battling frizz or someone who uses a lot of heat products (blow dryer, straightener, curling iron etc) on their hair to control damage. -

This stuff is a little miracle worker! Lately my skin has been really bad, and i've tried a slew of new products to help me get it under control, but nothing was working. So frustrating, especially because i've always been blessed with clear skin, so getting hit with acne in my 20s is not my idea of fun.
Anyway, I picked this up a few days ago because I was once again desperately perusing the cosmetic aisle, and this was one of the cheapest products. I saw the 5% benzoyl peroxide, shelled out my $5, and was on my way. I got home, washed my face, applied a thin layer to my whole face, and went to bed. When I woke up my face was SO much clearer. I couldn't believe the difference it made overnight.
There is no harsh chemically smell to the lotion, and although it makes my face feel tight, it doesn't burn or sting. After the first day I noticed my face looked a little dry, so you'll definitely need a good moisturizer while using this, and it's better to spot treat problem areas rather than apply it full-face. Again, I can't believe what a change this little tube has made in a few short days, my face is almost completely cleared up. And for the few measly dollars I spent on it, completely worth it! Will definitely be keeping this in my makeup kit for a long time to use as spot treatment for emergency breakouts. This stuff is a life saver!

This is one of my all-time favourite bronzers, because it offers great versatility and the quality is amazing for such a low price. I'm a big user of Rimmels Maxi bronzer, but I find the compact to be ridiculously large and the colour is always too dark to use unless i'm really tan. I love this bronzer because it eliminates both those issues. It's got 3 distinct colours in it, and they're all separate. This makes it really easy to use just one colour at a time, which is amazing for contouring, or you can just blend them all together with your brush to get a nice mixed hue. There's a dark brown, a medium, and a very light gold. All the shades are nice and shimmery, but not over the top. The compact itself is rather small so it's great for travel, but be careful not to drop it...the powder breaks really easily. You can buy this for just a few bucks, so it's definitely worth it for the price. Overall great quality for the price, and a very versatile product. -

To start, I really like this pressed powder. Normally I avoid drugstore powders because I find them either too heavy or barely there, and most of them contain a lot of junk that clogs my pores, so I shell out quite a bit for my nice Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base. I got this powder only because it was taped together in a bonus pack with the Nearly Nude Foundation, and why not try something for free, right?
At first I didn't think i'd use it until late summer, because the shade is "Medium" and looked way too dark for my skin. But when I tried it out I was surprised at how nicely it blended with my skin tone, and didn't look powdery or unnatural. It gave me a nice hint of colour, and great coverage. The powder is very fine and silky, and just one sweep of my brush did a lot. I didn't even bother with the little makeup sponge it came with, but it looks pretty useless to me.
The compact is a nice clean white, but it's fairly large, so I don't think this is a great travel compact. There is a decent size mirror inside though. Overall, the powder applies nicely for a natural look, and gives a decent amount of cover. This on top of the Nearly Nude Foundation is definitely a winning combo. Although i'll never stray from my JaneIredale powder, this one deserves a spot in my makeup bin, and is the first drugstore powder I would recommend to someone.

So I needed a new summer foundation that was light enough for daily wear, and after Alexandra mentioned this one in her spring staff picks I decided to try it out. And I'm not disappointed! This foundation goes on very light and sheer, and it blends nicely with my skin. It doesn't look cakey or fake, and I really like how it brightens my skin. It's got medium to light coverage, but because it's so sheer it layers nicely. I like that it's not greasy and doesn't make me look oily throughout the day. I bought this from Shoppers for 14.99, and it came with the pressed powder compact as well, which I thought was a really good deal. There are quite a few shades to choose from, I got Medium Beige, and it blends nicely into my skin tone. I'm not crazy about the top of the container, which is just a big opening, because the product is so runny so getting the right amount out is kind of hard. I apply it with my fingers though, so if you're using a sponge or a brush it will probably be easier. Overall a really good light foundation, would definitely recommend it. -

This is a great gloss, and although a little pricey, it's worth the splurge. It's got great pigment and shine. I currently have "Katie" which is a really light pink, it's so shimmery and pretty and compliments any look very well. I also had one in bright hot pink (I forget the name) and it was really nice to add a pop of colour, but unfortunately I lost it :( Again, for close to $20 this gloss is a tad steep, but the product isn't sticky so it doesn't need to be reapplied often, and because it's got great colour just one sweep will get your lips noticed so it'll last you a long time (given you don't lose it like I did!). Overall, would recommend it for sure. -

These are great for sleep! Sleeping when I have really bad congestion is nearly impossible, either i'm up every few minutes coughing or drinking water because I can't breathe through my nose and then my mouth dries up, or if I try to prop myself up with pillows i'm too uncomfortable to sleep well. These little gels are easy to swallow and work fast. They give me a good nights sleep and I don't wake up feeling groggy. They also help to actually cure my cold, so not only do I get a good nights sleep, but I wake up feeling less 'icky' and ready to start my day! Would definitely recommend these to anyone who has a tough time sleeping well with a cold. -

So this is a lipstick/lip balm, and it's really nice! The price is great ($5) and they have tons of great shades. The packaging is really cute and girly. I have it in a "a plum prospect" which is a medium purple colour with a tiny shimmer. It glides on like lip balm, it's not sticky at all and very nourishing, and the colour is really nice...bold but not over the top. I like the ease it applies with, so I feel comfortable throwing it on without looking in a mirror and worrying if it's all choppy! For the great price, I can't wait to go grab a few more colours. -

Just picked up this blush and really loving it. To begin, it's adorable. It comes in a small metallic pink compact with a clear lid so you can see the awesome design of the product, which is a bunch of tiny coloured hearts. They're all different shades of shimmery pink, and I got the "Warm" colour, so the background of mine is a light bronzy gold. If you press the button the bottom opens, and there is a little brush and a mirror down there. The blush itself goes on very nicely: even and natural. All the different colours work to give a very subtle but noticeable overall glow, and it's just the right amount of shimmer. It's also got a very nice scent, and although it's not actually going to 'boost your mood', it definitely makes you look more awake! -

I'm still pretty split on my feelings towards this blush. Some days I love it, others I hate it. I got it in Medium Pink, and it's exactly that. A nice medium, not too light, and not too dark. The biggest downfall of this blush is actually getting it onto your skin. The brush it comes with actually isn't terrible, but I find I need to press really hard into the powder to get it to adhere. Even with my good blush brush it's hard to pick up. The upside to it is once it's on, it looks really nice. It gives a natural glow that lasts a surprisingly long time. The colours available are all really nice, and for 5 bucks, why not, right? Probably won't be buying again, but not the worst money i've spent. -
