This is a men's cologne but is suitable for women who don't want to overwhelm with a flowerly fragrance. It has vanilla and spicy overtones and is wonderful for daytime. I've had a tonne of compliments about it!

I'm a large breasted woman (40D) with a relatively thin frame (it's a curse, believe me) and most bras for my size look like something Mrs. Doubtfire would wear. Not this bra! It's lovely and the girls at VS really understand architecture without sacrificing femininity. It's a lovely piece of lingerie that provides great support. It's relatively inexpensive and these bras last. -

I didn't even know Spanx made pantyhose but they have some lovely designs, complete with their "firm enough to repel small artillery fire" tummy/thigh/butt support. They aren't cheap but if you are gentle with them, they will last. The store itself deserves a special mention. What Girls Want is in Unionville Ontario and has a thriving mail order business, which is how I get my pantyhose. The customer service is second to none. Once, when they sent me the wrong pattern by mistake, they replaced it with a free pair of the correct pattern within the week.
The site also features the rest of the spanx line, including Spanx for Men (which I had no idea even existed). It specializes in mail order for Canadian customers and the proprietor and her employees really go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy. I love this place!

I've tried every single primer on the market. I hated Smashbox because the silicone in it "pills"with moisturizer. Fusion was OK, but not great. Then I found this. Containing retin-a and a pore diminishing formula, it leaves my skin looking like velvet. This is the only primer that I'd ever wear ALONE. It makes your skin look absolutely incredible and I get countless compliments on my complexion. I'm never buying another brand. At $38, you get a fairly big tube of it as well, so it's pretty good value. -

Here's a trade secret. I'm a criminal lawyer: a woman in a traditionally male dominated testosterone soaked field. I've found that if I smell like them, they tend to trust me more (men aren't that complicated and funnily enough, they do respond to subconscious cues). This fragrance is lovely and I've had loads of compliments on it. It's classy, professional and while not traditionally feminine, lets me feel totally feminine and in control all at once. -

Avoid at all costs!! The staff is fabulous, but the owner, Cathy Potvin is a horrible shrew who treats her clients like dirt. I have had her personally lie to me on at least 4 occasions, deny that she had promised to provide a service at a certain price (even though that price was quoted in front of an employee who was too afraid to contradict her) and refuse to even respond to a polite email and phone call. -

Other girls love shopping for clothes or shoes: getting my hair done is my "thing". I get my hair done every 10 days, so when it comes to finding a salon, I know what I'm talking about.
Half this salon is a school, where you can get cuts/colour/other stuff done by students at greatly reduced prices and the other half is a regular salon. I go to the salon. The stylists have CONSTANT upgraded training by all the big companies (JOICO, etc) because -- hello -- it's a school. They have cutting edge knowledge, competitive prices and evening hours. I love it here. I used to live in Toronto but this place is by far my favourite salon.

I'm exhausted when I get home from work and in the past have slacked off on removing my makeup. A huge no no. I bought this at Sephora a while ago and since it only takes 2 minutes morning and night, I have no excuse. It's fabulous for removing grime and my skin tone, even ness and pore size had improved dramatically. The single most effective product in my arsenal. -

Sorry I had to truncate the name, but it wouldn't let me enter Great Lengths Hair Extensions OR rate them.
I got these done by Darci Armstrong at Devog in London Ontario at the beginning of July of this year. It is now November and they still look fabulous, I used to have awful hair: it is now my crowning glory! I will never be without them. It's a lot of money, but well worth the investment.
