It's true! I've worked at a couple of spas that sell it, and nowthe website I work for carries it to. It really is the best for ingrown hairs. Guys too! Back and chest waxing ususlaly results in a lot of breakouts. This is a great, non-threatening product for them to use. So easy. It exfoliates without drying out too much. It FLIES off the shelves, we can never keep enough in stock.
The main ingredient is salicylic, so any allergic to aspirin adn the likeshould avoid it though. And don't use it on the same day as the hair removal. wait 24 hours.

I used to work for Proactiv. I sold it at a kiosk for almost a year. Since then I've moved on to becoming an esthetician and worked in spas.
I learned some very specific things about this line.
-People regularly mistake the Repairing Lotion for a moisturizer. It is not. It's drying. You probably only need to use it once a day
-You HAVE to use a moisturizer when you use Proavtiv. Both salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide are extremely drying to the skin. If you don't use an oil-free moisturizer, your skin will go into overdrive and produce MORE oil. Counter Productive.
Proactiv is made for a very specific skin type. If you don't have that skin, you probably won't like the results.
Another thing to remember is that no product works for everyone. Scientifically and biologically, it has everything in it to control oil and bacteria. But sometimes formulations just don't work with certain body chemistries.
I saw people have amazing success with this product. Stuff I've never seen replicated with professional products. But I also saw it not work for others.
To this day and much to the chagrin of other estheticians, I still recommend Proactiv to some people . It's a no nonsense approach. Exfoliation, Salicylic Acid and Benzyl Peroxide. No fluff.
When it's used properly, and you pay attention to your skin and adjust accordingly there will be results. After the first round of proper usage as per instructions, start adjusting for yourself. Most people can get away with using it once a day or every two days. It lasts much longer.
In order for the guarantee to work, it does have to be used as suggested for the first month. I also saw the worst in consumers while working for Proactiv. Lying, cheating and stealing like you wouldn't believe. That's why they are so strict about the policy.
This was long winded, sorry. In conclusion: I recommend it. But only for oily and moderately acneic skin types.

This is more of an everyday mascara for me, or a vacation one. Which is weird for how much it costs. I've never found it gives me soft, feathery fullness. But it does give excellent depth of color, and stays true to the no flaking/smudging claim. You can sleep in this stuff, not that I do, and it still looks fine the next morning. I've always found removal is easiest in the shower, you can embrace the water and just gentle rub the lashes until everything comes off.
When I want a more dramatic look, I reach for others, but when I want definition and no fuss, this is a GREAT choice.

This is a wonderful product! I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the company and she's absolutely obsessed with quality. If it's not perfect, she won't sell it. This is chalk full of hydration. It's long lasting without being sticky and had a great vanilla taste. You can get it in a tube or tin. I'm torn cause I love the texture of the tin one better, but I hate swirling my finger around in a little pot. I guess that's why they invented lip brushes. ;)
This one's a win for me.

I've seen a lot of scrubs in my day. This one is entirely unique. It's a pumice granule/gel emulsion style. The gel is chalk full of vitamins, minerals and humic acid, so it's ridiculously hydrating and absorbs right into the skin.
This means the following (and I cannot stress how mind blowing this is if you're a scrub user):
You massage it onto dry skin and the entire thing absorbs! You then just brush off the pumice particles! NO oil! NO mess! It's crazy awesome. And your skin is so smooth afterwards.
I find the easiest way is to either stand on a towel or in the tub, this just keeps the sandy feeling pumice off the floor. I do it after I've dried off from my shower. You can follow with a moisturizer if you want, but the gel itself is super hydrating. This one's a win for me.

This is a wonderful foundation. Unlike other mineral makeup, they've removed the Bismuth Oxychloride, which is a known irritant. The finish is beautiful. But my absolute favorite is mixing it in with my moisturizer, it gives this sheer glow to the skin while completely evening out the skin tone.
Mineral makeups are great in that they have a physical SPF, which means it won't wear off or absorb. Chemical SPF's (pretty much anything in cream form) absorb into the skin after a couple of hours. If you spend any significant amount on moisturizer, the idea of re-applying and going through it that much quicker is horrifying. This foundation gets rid of that problem. And my god does it last a long time. You need so little of it. Dont' forget to use it as a concealer as well!
Jane Iredale essentially ruins you for other makeup.

As an esthetician this product haunts me. ANYTHING is better than this. The crushed shells have sharp edges that actually slice the skin microscopically. This is what causes the irritation people talk about. It's scrapes your skin and if you're acneic at all it creates little lesions for bacteria to enter. Redness, itchiness and dryness are so common. We would have so many people come in for facials with those issues and find out that they're using this product.
Yes it does smell fantastic. Delicious even. That does not mean you should use it on your face! There are so many better exfoliants out there. Try to stay away from anything with crushed shells in them.

It has a bit of an alcoholy smell, but it's effective. Last a long time because you need so little.

I'm always a Plumping Skeptic. I'm comfortable with that. Even after using this I still am. I LOVE the color, texture and even the taste of this gloss. All lemony and fresh, it smells like summer. There's a little bit of sparkle and it's a beautiful pink shade. But I feel I remain unplumped. But that's ok! It's not sticky, yet still wears and stays for a ridiculous amount of time. You do get some transfer though, much less than cheaper glosses.
The packaging is super chic, and it better be for almost $50! It's a lot to pay for a lip product. But the performance is definitely stellar and the quality is noticeable. Since it does last so long I'm not re-applying as often so I'm getting more from it anyways. I will for sure be looking for more colors, and ca't wait to check out the Bling versions. The cap is covered in swarovski crystals. OMGZ! I wish I was covered in swarovski crystals...
In conclusion:
It's a fancy lip gloss. I like it.
