I haven't needed to heat them yet, but the cooling aspect of them alone is perfect. They don't get TOO cold that it hurts against your skin. It feels so comfortable. I will be buying these as part of baby shower gifts for any future showers I go to. -

I also find that this lotion doesn't moisturize very well. I have dry skin and within the hour of putting this lotion on, you feel like you didn't apply it at all. Would not purchase this product again. -
