I used to read and write fan fiction when I was a teen. I promise you a lot of amateur writers have astonishing talent and potential. This book series is not representative of the potential of amateur writers. Well, it is a lot like the first couple chapters a new fan fiction writer puts online without volunteer editors and proofreader fans.
I decided to see what this book was about after I heard so much in favor of and against the book. I think it's great that more women are getting in touch with their sexuality, but this book portrays a very unhealthy, often abusive relationship. If you asked anyone in BDSM communities about this book, they would tell you that it is extremely problematic and inaccurate about the community. The only people who push this book as healthy and sexy are people who have been abused, are abusers, or have money to be made of of the people who are now exploring this area. I have to stress that I have no qualms against erotica.
Besides the content matter of the book, the writing was extremely bland and cringe-worthy. I dare you to look up an analysis of the words used in the series. Everything is described as "Wanton". The word beguile is used more often in this book than I have read anywhere else in my life. The protagonist is always "clambering" and anyone's private parts are referred to as their "sex".
Do not waste your time on this book.

All jokes aside, it is rare to find an author that so clearly remembers what it was like to be a teen or young adult. This was a beautiful story. In my experience, young adult fiction varies a great deal in quality. It often feels mass produced with ad lib themes and character names. I really appreciated these books when I read them. This series discusses political oppression, revolution, and exploitation among other intriguing themes. To avoid spoilers, I'll be somewhat vague with the follow comments. The series ends with a really profound sense of irony that left me feeling cheated in the best way possible. It so strongly put me in the shoes of the protagonist. I also really liked the portrayal of PTSD in the series. So often, heroes are designed to be flawless and god-like in the face of danger. I liked that this book was honest in the ways people internalize loss and trauma. It was a truly beautiful story and I look forward to reading more from Suzanne Collins in the future. -

I'm usually a fairly thrifty shopper. However, a few brands are worth paying more for. Under Armour is pretty consistently one of these brands. I'm a thicker women with thighs that touch. It's horrible to come to terms with items I love wearing down faster between my thighs. I've had to rule out a couple brands for weak materials. Under Armour holds up and stays looking amazing wear after wear. These capris have become my favourite recently. They are so comfy and they make my legs look amazing. -

I just recently picked up a bag of these sour candies. I was really excited to try them as the original sour patch kids are delicious. I had really mixed feelings about the tropical variety. A few of the flavors were amazing; the pineapple flavored sour patch were fantastic, but most of the others did not really stand out. I really enjoy sour candy, but somehow these were just too sour. I think it has a lot to do with the flavors being quite tart too. It was interesting enough that I would recommend you try it for yourself, but I do not think I would purchase it again. -

They are not the most flavorful, but they are extremely good for you. The price tends to vary between $6-$8 for 1 kg (which is a bargain for shell-less seeds). I would definitely recommend trying these seeds. -
