I received a free sample from Febreze and ChickAdvisor as part of their product review panel. it was very easy to use and the scent, 'linen & sky', is one of my fave febreze scents. i had never used a car air freshener before, cause i'm not a fan of things hanging from my rearview mirror, but this one just clips onto your air vent and it's nice and small. i think it's very effective and i'd probably buy another one when this one runs out. thank you, chickadvisor and febreze, for sending this to me to sample! -

i really like the garnier fructis colour shield instant colour sealer! it's got a nice light texture and kind of feels like a serum. besides prolonging the life of my colour, the shield keeps the frizzies down and gives my curls a little extra definition. i'm usually not one for 'extra' products or added steps in my hair routine (the less fuss the better!) but the colour shield, if it continues to prove its effectiveness, will be a nice addition to my colour care arsenal! i'm a fan. -

the garnier fructis colour shield shampoo and conditioner smell great and make a nice hair care team. i'm not convinced they do a better job of cleaning or conditioning than other products i've used but so far they seem to be preserving my colour, which is very important to me. i wish the conditioner was a bit thicker and richer since i have naturally curly hair that tends to be a bit dry; it doesn't feel like i get substantial conditioning with this product but it will suffice (i guess the deep conditioner that comes with the hair colour takes care of that!). overall though, a good pair of products.

i received this garnier nutrisse hair colour, shampooo, conditioner and colour shield through the product review club - yay! i thought the scent was pleasant (better than many) and i really liked the thicker cream for fewer drips and messes - bonus points for that! the colour itself was a good match for my natural shade so i was pleased with my choice, cedar. it did a good job of covering the greys and seemed to add a little extra shine to my locks. overall it was easy to mix and use and the results were very good.
the shampoo and conditioner smell great and, together with the colour shield, make a nice hair care team. i'm not convinced they do a better job of cleaning or conditioning than other products i've used but so far they seem to be preserving my colour, which is very important to me. i really like the colour shield! it's got a nice light texture and kind of feels like a serum. besides prolonging the life of my colour, the shield keeps the frizzies down and gives my curls a little extra definition.
i would buy this hair colour again for the thicker, less-mess formula and the grey coverage. the colour shield, if it continues to prove its effectiveness, will be a nice addition to my regime, as well! the shampoo and conditioner are lovely but so far i'm not sure they're the best i've tried. more time will tell.....

i thought this mascara was a disappointment. i did like the packaging - very fun - but otherwise, i'm not much of a fan. the wand seems too small for the tube so i had to scrape off at least half the mascara before i'd apply it (a pain in the neck) and i found the formula too wet and the first few apps were rather messy (no time for that). plus, unless i used a lash comb or brush, any more than one coat would clump and stick my lashes together (imagine tammy faye baker). nothing remarkable about this product. i'll persevere with the tube i bought but highly doubt i'll buy it again. -

I'm grateful to have been chosen to try this body lotion for the Product Review Club and I really like it, too! The scent is fresh and citrus-y and it made my skin feel instantly smoother, softer and more hydrated...perfect for this time of year and as the colder weather rolls in! While it seems to moisturize very well (as it claims to do), it also feels light and absorbs quickly. I wouldn't normally shell out $9 for an allover lotion I'd use up in a matter of weeks (it's a fairly small bottle at 200ml) but I might for this one. The true test will come during the thick of winter when the temps fall well below freezing and my skin is extra dry. I am a fan of this product for sure. -

i really like this scent! i'd been looking for a new perfume for a while and had tested this one out a few times before buying it; it obviously made a lasting impression! actually i decided to get the burberry brit body lotion because i like the idea of slathering on a beautiful scent post-shower or bath (but i'm thinking i may need to go for the eau de parfum as well). when i first applied the body lotion it seemed to smell different than the perfume but within a couple of minutes it mellowed out and smelled great. there are so many fragrance choices available but this one is a definite standout! -

i'm not generally a foundation wearer but i was interested to try this foundation because i had heard positive things about it and was lucky enough to receive it through the chick advisor product review club. although i haven't used it very long, and had become a mineral makeup convert, my first impression was a good one. it is very light and sheer - which is important to me since i hate the feeling of wearing a 'mask' - and did seem to make my pores appear less noticeable in certain areas. i think i would appreciate its coverage even more in the cooler months when my skin isn't as tanned (i would wear it more often in the winter, for example) but i did like what it did for my skin. other things i liked were the way it blended easily and gave my complexion a bit of a glow. all in all, i would say this product is very good (coming from someone who doesn't wear it everyday) and i would consider buying it in the future. -

i recently bought a Febreeze scented candle because i had a coupon for $2 off (regular price is $7.99). normally i wouldn't have made this purchase but i decided to give it a chance. well, i was impressed! the scent i chose was called lavender vanilla & comfort - one whiff and i was hooked. the fragrance takes a few minutes to really fill the room but when it does, it's wonderful! and even after i had blown out the candle, the scent seemed to linger in the air for quite a while. in fact, i haven't had it burning all day but there is a lovely hint of it in the room. i really, really like this fragrance but would like to try some of the others, too (there are about 6 or 7 other kinds). initially, the price seemed a bit high for a mass-produced, commercial brand candle but it is a decent size (155g) and claims to last for 25-30 hours. i would recommend trying this product for room-filling, odour-eliminating goodness! -

a nice option! the fragrance-free version of softlips PURE natural lip balm is a great stand-alone product or base/top layer with lipsticks, lip liners and other flavoured/scented glosses. the wider tube is a nice touch and the overall packaging is attractive. it's good to know that the ingredients are all natural, too. i would recommend this to anyone who wants a lightweight, non-sticky balm with a hint of shine and very smooth application. thanks to the product review club for choosing me as a guinea pig! -
