I was lucky enough to land a FPC from Kinder about a week about via their Facebook promotion. The FPC was for their new mini eggs. I was able to acquire this product at SDM. They were selling a bag of 85g for over $3. Pretty pricey if you ask me. As for taste, this product leaves something to be desired. My husband did not like it at all. As for me, I must say that I was rather disappointed. These are small, individually wrapped eggs with a chocolatey outside and a soft hazelnut substance on the inside. The texture is ...for lack of better words...YUK! I found that by putting this bag in the freezer and waiting a few hours, it was more palatable. I hate gooey insides !! I would not recommend this to anyone. Just didn't like the texture at all and it was way too expensive to be worth it. -

Yesterday I was looking for something easy to make for supper as I was perusing through the isles of my local Metro grocery store. I saw that Metro had their Clover Leaf Gourmet Flavoured White Tuna in Olive Oil on sale for $1.99 which happened to be great since I had a couple of $1 off coupons. I chose two cans of the sundried tomato flavour. After coming home, I immediately opened a can. I drained just a little bit of the oil. This was the first time I ever tasted this tuna before and let me tell you...I was absolutely amazed by the taste!!! I didn't even have to add anything to this tuna. I toasted a couple of slices of bread and just put the tuna chunks right on. It was the best sandwich ever. Coupled with a nice warm vegetable soup. I am sold on this flavoured tuna now. It's luxurious, gourmet, an explosion of taste. Now I want to try the other flavours: Jalapeno and Chipotle. -

Tried the new strawberry Honey bunches of Oats cereal the other day. It was on sale @ Metro for $2.49, regular price $3.99. It worked out nicely since I was able to get a $1 off with a coupon. Was pretty happy with the price and my savings. Box states that it contains real strawberries. Of course they are not fresh, but rather freeze dried. Put a generous amount of milk in my bowl. After less than 5 minutes, the cereal became very very soggy and basically turned into mush. It did not retain its crunchiness at all. I also found that a few of the strawberries tasted funny, almost like an oily taste. Was not at all impressed with this new product from Post. Although the price was right, the taste and texture are less than mediocre. I wont recommend this one. Sorry. -

I was really excited to try out this new product from Schneider's. I tested 3 different varieties of Lunchmates...the pizza with 2 cheeses, the ham and the turkey In all packages, the cheeses were brittly hard cubes, the meat was rather bland, the pizza bread was rigid and hard, there was way too much pizza sauce, and the crackers were stale. The freshest part of the product was the individually packaged cup of fruit which came with a plastic spoon. The price is high $3.99 for 12 stale crackers and a few cubes of cheese and meat. This product failed on the freshness scale and taste scale. Overall, I was quite disappointed with all 3. I would not recommend this product to anyone, specially not to give as snacks to children. -

I was excited to receive the Crest 3D White Whitestrips Intensive Professional Effects for review. This kit contained 7 strips for top and bottom front teeth. I read the instructions and nowhere did it mention if this product was meant to use for 7 consecutive days (back to back). Since this is the intensive version, you have to keep the strips on your teeth for 2 hours. That proved to be quite long for me. Your mouth automatically produces extra saliva and it was hard not to have my tongue touch the strips or have saliva on them. I tried as best I could to keep my tongue in the back of my mouth and tried not to swallow too much. The first day was ok. During the time the strips were on my teeth, there was just barely a hint of taste. It felt comfortable enough. I started noticing a slight tingling sensation about 1 hour into the process. After removing the strips I rinsed my mouth. It should probably state somewhere in the instructions not to try to eat or drink anything hot or cold after a treatment. I found I had an issue with drinking water. Second day, I repeated the process and got the same tingling sensation about 1 hour into it but nothing too too unpleasant. After the second treatment, my teeth remained sensitive for hours. I could not drink water or coffee without it being very uncomfortable. I decided it best to discontinue using the product for a 3rd day in a row. I understand it states on the box that sensitivity is normal and temporary due to the intensive nature of the treatment, however it proved to be too uncomfortable to continue using. I am sure if I would had continued a 3rd treatment, I would have been in serious pain afterwards. I would not buy this product for myself due to teeth sensitivity nor would recommend it for anything who has sensitivity issues. -

OMG! This is by far the BEST yogurt I've ever tasted. Its creamy, thick, not wobbly like Yoplait. It comes with the blueberries at the bottom. I love that the best...I cannot stomach those pre-stirred yogurts. The taste is unctuous. I was lucky to get an FPC to purchase this particular 500g tub. The price is rather high. At metro it retails for almost $6. I guess you get what you pay for and this being an organic product it is well worth its price. I recommend this yogurt to all! -

Had been on the hunt for those elusive Kashi crackers for a few months until finally I discovered a small display on a top shelf at Metro. I must say they were well hidden and they only had 1 row of the Original 7 grains variety. I had been dying to try them for a while since I 'd heard Kashi makes great products. The Kashi crackers retail at Metro for $3.79, which is a fairly high price in my opinion for a 255g box. I was lucky enough to have had on hand a $2 coupon. I picked up some cream cheese to go along with it.
Verdict: LOVE 'EM!! They may be pricey but oh so good. What I love best about them is their wonderful sesame taste. For those of you out there who are conscientious about contents, these crackers are free of hydrogenated oils, contain no artificial flavours or colours. By far the best cracker I've tasted so far. I give it an A and a glowing recommendation to all. I just wish more grocery stores carried Kashi brands.

I was happy as pie when I picked up the Glade Expression mist fragrance kit with an FPC I got from Websaver. I opted for the Cotton & Mandarin scent and I must say that I was pleasantly pleased with the fragrance. It's light, breezy, wonderful. There's something comforting about the smell of fresh clean linen. I love the ergonomic design of the canister holder. All you have to do is gently squeeze the sides of the bottle for a gentle mist to come out. I prefer mist fragrances the best because a little goes a long way and I know I'll be getting my money's worth. I love that I can just buy replacement canisters and slip them inside in the future. I may try the other fragrances soon but for now I'm totally stuck on this linen scent. I definitely recommend it to everyone. -

Picked up a box of Kellogg's Fruit Crisps from Metro today. They were on sale for $2.49 and I used a $1 coupon. So, all and all, not a bad price to start with but, I'm just not sure I'd be willing to buy these at the full price of $3.99. The box was a bit misleading as it shows 10 bars. In actuality, when you open the box, you get 5 packages, with 2 paper thin bars in each. And when I mean paper thin...I mean...paper thin. I chose the strawberry flavour. Had the bars been bigger in size, I think I may have almost detected the faint taste of strawberries in there. I suppose they have to be paper thin for having only 100 calories per 2 bars. The crispy part comes from the white glaze toping. I didn't find them all that appetizing. Nothing I'd recommend to buy. -
