I think the packaging is lovely; they come in a 0.17oz jars with a double lid. When you unscrew the outer lid off, you find a second liftable lid that stays attached to one side of the jar. You might have seen this kind of packaging in other loose mineral makeup, but if not, I’ll describe it to you. The inner lid has inward projections that insert into the little holes through which the loose makeup comes out of. So when you open the first lid, you won’t have all a cloud of mineral makeup floating or spilling around because a second lid prevents it from coming out of the little holes. I love the security this kind of packaging provides, not just keeping the loose makeup under a shield with holes, but also capping the holes so you don’t waste product and/or make a mess.
The bronzer only comes in one color, #167 Amber Glow. This is a lightly pigmented bronzer, and I find that it isn’t as buildable as the blush is. If you look at the color from the outside of the jar it looks like an orangey-tannish brown. When applied, it doesn’t really look orange like you just got a bad self tan, but I think it is a bit too light to be a bronzer, especially since it doesn’t really build up, like I said before.
I have two major complaints about these products. First, it’s shimmery. I don’t think it’s a terrible thing and I have nothing against shimmery makeup, but at least for a bronzer, I would prefer a matte variety.y second complaint is that it makes my face itch and burn. It’s not as bad as making me puff and turn red, but these products do make my face itch considerably. The itch starts about 30 minutes after I’ve put on all my makeup, lasts for about 30 more minutes, then either goes away or I stop noticing it’s there.

This review is for Wet n wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss. I got two shades of this lip gloss, one is Strawberry Ice and the other is Magenta Flash.
The packaging is pretty basic, it comes in a tube with a soft wand applicator. For some reason, this is my favorite way to apply lip gloss, so I really like that about this lip gloss. When you take the wand out of the tube it comes out with a good enough amount of product. When you apply it, the wand tip feels really soft on my lips and it glides right on.
If you look at the product from the outside of the tube the colors look pretty neat. Strawberry Ice is a very light baby pink, and Magenta Flash is a more intense and strong shade of pink (magenta?). However, when you apply this lip gloss, there’s not much you can do to tell the difference between them. Especially after ten minutes… it makes no difference which you put on; the hint of color looks the same.
So, for a lipgloss, this isn’t a very glossy product. When you first apply it, it looks fairly glossy and cute. I actually like how it looks after you have just applied it, because it gives a very subtle gloss with a hint of color. But as the day proceeds, it wears away. About ten minutes after application there’s not much color left, and about after an hour, there’s basically no gloss left. So if you’re only wearing this product on your lips, you’ll need constant reapplication.
In an apparent attempt for a fruity scent / taste… this product smells and tastes bad. The smell is not that terrible, but after its on your lips, the smell combined with the taste is excessively chemical-like and just… well, not something I want to have on my lips.
The product description for this lip gloss mentiones it has “Vitamins A and E help protect your lips from the drying effects of sun and environment”. So even though I don’t really notice these things when I wear the product, I guess it’s always a plus.
As far as I know, this isn’t a lip-plumping gloss (you know, those that trigger a tiny allergic reaction a plump up your lips)… but! when I wear this MegaSlicks lip gloss I get this strange, tingly, itch on my lips that I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to be there. This lip gloss, how ever, does not plump my lips or make them look fuller in any way, it just causes this really annoying, numbing tingle.
I still sometimes use this lipgloss regardless of the numbing / tingling / itch and the bad smell and taste. But after these tubes I have are over, I’m not purchasing this buying again.

I got the loose powder in #163 Pinched Pink, which is the lightest color they have (and the only color they had at my local Walmart) and I wasn’t sure it was going to look good on my skin because it looks rather bright if you look at the product from the outside of the packaging. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that the color is amazing and it looks good on my skin. It is not very pigmented, and I actually like that about this blush because it allows me to apply just a hint of pink, and then build over it as desired. It is buildable, so if you want a more noticeable color, a couple more brush strokes do just fine.
I have two major complaints about the products. First, it’s shimmery. I don’t think it’s a terrible thing and I have nothing against shimmery makeup, but I would prefer a matte variety. I’ve searched people’s reviews on these products to see if they have had similar problems, but apparently it’s just me. Or no one else is writing about it on the Internet. But I love this blush, I just in love with the color. I still use the blush daily and I love the subtle color it gives to my cheeks. So I apply less product in an effort to minimize the itch, and it’s actually better.

This is a review for NYC Kiss Gloss Lipgloss. I got my first tube of this lipgloss (yes I have more than one!) at a drugstore for around $3.00. It comes in a cute 0.32 fl. oz. typical lipgloss tube . Let me tell you, it smells amazing. Some people say it smells like chemicals, but yeah, I don’t think it does. It does, however, taste a little like chemicals as opposed to tasting like pink lemonade. Not that I expected it to taste like actual pink lemonade you know. It doesn’t taste bad either, you. Compared to other lipglosses I’ve tried, this one has a nice taste. But hey, we’re not supposed to be eating our lipgloss, right?
The applicator is a slant, flat surface with a little hole, which I’ve always found to be an uncomfortable way to apply lip product. When you press the tube to make the product come out, press gently! This is a very shiny lipgloss. Even if you are using a little bit, you’ll have super shiny lips for a long time. So don’t press the tube a lot or you’ll get a lot of product out and have a blinding, super shiny mess on your lips. It is that shiny. With the excessive shine of this product comes something else: stickiness. Unless you apply loads of lipgloss, it won’t make your lips stick together or anything that exaggerated, but… if the wind blows your hair to your face it will get stuck to your lips. And I mean, really stuck. Like, it won’t be enough to shake your head to get the hair off; you’ll need to take the hair strands with your hands and pull them away. That’s about how sticky it gets with a “normal” application. So it’s not really the kind of lipgloss I would want to be wearing if I were going to kiss someone. I do wear it for class because it is very long lasting and I don’t go around kissing people in my classes.
I got the color “pink lemonade” is a very light and very pretty shimmery pink. It smells very sweet and I love it! When I noticed I started running out of this lipgloss, I got a second tube in “cherry”. Cherry, unlike pink lemonade, is not shimmery at all. It’s a beautiful soft reddish color and it smells like pink bubblegum. I love them both and I guess the only thing I don’t like about the product in general is the stickiness that makes it a make-out unfriendly lip gloss, which is ironic considering it’s named Kiss Gloss!

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be reviewing Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara BIG. I saw this mascara advertised everywhere and I must admit, the picture in the ads is pretty cool (see the picture above). I mean, look at that wand. It’s humongous. My sister and I were at Walmart when the Maybelline promo girl spots us in the makeup area, and takes out of our cart all the products we had picked up and replaces them with similar Maybelline products. How rude is that? We ended up not taking any of the products she was trying to force on us, except,w ell… the mascara. We got one each. My sister looked at the picture in the package and said “Oh, that’s a pretty wand! It’s pink and green!”. I was excited at the big, green and pink want until I got home and noticed -”Oh yeah, the wand is actually pitch black since it comes inside the mascara tube”.
Moving on… the wand colors weren’t that disappointing. I got this mascara in “very black” and I have to give the product props in terms of pigmentation: it is an amazingly beautiful, rich black. I’m not used to wands as big as this one, so when I was going to apply the mascara it did feel a bit weird and uncomfortable at first, but nothing unbearable. The size does make it somewhat hard to reach the inner corner lashes, and applying it on your lower lashes must be done very carefully especially if you’re like me, who doesn’t have a lot of lashes down there.
My upper lashes are very long but I don’t have a lot of them, so what I look for in a mascara is fullness more than length. I was able to lengthen my lashes quite a lot creating a dramatic look, and it becomes more dramatic as you add coats. It is a very buildable mascara as it promises. This mascara, however, fails to separate my lashes. Like I said, I don’t have a lot of lashes – and what this mascara does, is it groups my lashes together. In a video review I saw for this product someone said it looked like you have “five fat lashes” or something. I was very skeptical, I thought “that can’t be!” – but I’m telling you… it’s true. At least for my ungenerous amount of lashes, it just groups them together in like five fat chunks. I’ve tried curling them, not curling them, wiggling the wand, wiggling it a lot, not wiggling at all… I always get the same results. It’s such a shame, I actually like everything else about this product except this. I rarely use it anymore, since it makes my eyes look strange, especially if I wear it during the day. You know, like if I had cartoon lashes. I haven’t tried using this mascara for a night look, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if you have dark eye makeup on.
This is not waterproof mascara. As for removing, I simply use oil-free makeup-remover towelettes and it comes right off. In conclusion, I don’t hate the this Great Lash Mascara BIG, but it doesn’t work for my long-but-sparse lashes. I would really like to hear from someone with abundant lashes who has tried it, so that I know how it works for you! By the way, this product was around $7.00 for 0.34 FL OZ.
