. I am always up for trying a new one. I saw manga eyes advertised on tv and was immediately intrigued. I don't mind spending a bit more, but I didn't really want to spend full price on it in case it was crappy.
I found it on sale at a shoppers drug mart. I was really glad I bought it, I thought it lived up to it's claim, it made my lashes look really long and defined. It is my new favorite mascara and on that I will definitely be purchasing again and I won't mind paying full price.

I color my hair a lot so I want to keep it as bright as possible for as long as I can. I don't wash my hair often so I have come to rely heavily on dry shampoos and I have tried a few different brands and this is my favorite.
I am quite sensitive when it comes to scent and Dove dry shampoo is very light and pleasant, not overpowering or perfumy. It does what it's supposed to, leaves my hair looking fresh all day without leaving a lot of residue. I use it between shampoos, which for me is every 5-7 days ( the less you wash your hair, the less you need to) so I don't want a product leaving a lot of gross build up on my scalp.
It really is, in my opinion, one of the better (lower priced) dry shampoos. Regular price can be about 8$ but I almost always find it on sale. Target often puts it on sale at 2.99$, I have seen it at this price at Shoppers and WalMart as well. Great product, definitely worth it.

I received Nair candy apple sugar wax for free thanks to Chickadvisor. I was really looking forward to it because my past experiences with Nair hair removal products were not all that great. My go to products are usually pre waxed strips, and I have never tried anything like a sugar wax before.
Overall I was very satisfied with this product. I thought it really lived up to its claim. It did smell really nice, it was not too overpowering and that was important to me as I am very sensitive about scented products. The instructions were easy to follow and the wax itself was really easy to use. It was fairly fast to get my legs done as well. Although I admit the first one took a bit longer, it's an easy technique but you learn a few things while doing it.
A few things I did that made it easier was cutting the strips in half and waxing a smaller surface at a time. Although it says to scoop up a generous amount, it's a lot easier and less messy if you apply a thinner layer of wax. I was also pretty surprised as I thought it would be a lot stickier and messier. Your hands get a bit tacky as opposed to sticky and the wax really does come off with warm water, so clean up was a breeze.
I think it's a great value as I will definitely get many uses out of that one jar and the reusable strips.
Overall I thought it was less painful than wax strips but just as effective. I would definitely recommend this and will likely buy it again. Nair candy apple sugar wax has made me a Nair fan again.

I received 2 free boxes through chick advisor, 1 sweet and salty and 1 butter flavor. It was nice to try them as I have been looking for a healthier snack than say chips.
The sugar and sodium percentage was also very low, and at 80 calories for 20 chips it sounded like a very good and satisfying alternative to chips.
Sweet and salty : You can taste the sweet, which is noticeable but not over the top, but I found the salty part to be lacking. I didn't mind the texture, but I just couldn't bring myself to eat very many. I find them a bit strange, you get flavor for the first bit but then you end up with a bland flavor in your mouth.
i did, however, love the very short ingredients list that I understood 100%.
Butter : These tasted much better than the sweet and salty, but again, they just turned bland in my mouth a second later. I didn't find them too salty, much less salty than say tostitos. I wouldn't really say it tasted like butter though. The ingredients list was a bit longer on this box.
Although I find these to be much better than Special K cracker chips, but I just don't see myself buying them. Overall I thought the popcorn chips were just average at best and not worth buying or even finishing a whole box.

I liked the smell, nice and fresh but not overpowering. It was pleasant and didn't bother me. I hear a lot of people complain about only using it once or twice and then it's empty. I haven't had this problem with Fat hair. I thought it worked really well, I didn't have to use very much and my hair looked good all day. I don't wash my hair everyday, so I can go awhile and get away with only using a bit. It really gives me some volume and my hair looks way better. I don't really have any complaints, other than it being a bit pricey. So far one of the best dry shampoos I've tried.
Just a sidenote, when a product doesn't work complain to the company. Most companies want to know what they're doing wrong and how to better the product and they don't want to lose a customer so they might give you a replacement or a good coupon.

I'd been looking for some colored nail polish to switch things up a little as I usually wear black. I decided to try Revlon because I liked the variety of colors available. I bought 2 bottles, Punk a shimmery light green and Downtown a light shimmery blue. It cost me about 15$ for both. For me it's a splurge because it's kind of pricey for nail polish imo.
I was really satisfied, the color went on easily and I only needed 2 coats. it dried fairly quickly and doesn't chip as easy as other polish. I also thought the brush was a bit on the small side, but it still gets the job done. I don't know about the other finishes, but the shimmery finish ones are true to the bottle as far as color.
I really loved how much variety there was, a lot of matte, shimmer and glitter colors from vivid to pastel in both fun and serious colors. A definite thumbs up and worth the money.

I was lucky enough to win this from Chickadvisor's weekly contests! It was nice to win especially since it's worth 26$, and I am much to cheap for such a luxury.
The scent was pleasant and subtle, which is always nice. No one wants stinky things near or on there face. I wear a lot of dark eye makeup ( 2 black eye shadows, a lot of black eyeliner and black mascara) pretty much on a daily basis
. It's a pain to get it off at night, I don't use eye makeup remover because the ones I've tried were greasy and felt gross and oily. I tend to use baby wipes, which are a bit better than a face cloth but it can still take time and a lot of rubbing my eyes to get it off. This took it off so easily. I only had to use a bit to take off my eye makeup. It wasn't oily and didn't sting. It felt nice on my skin and didn't irritate my eyes.
I really have nothing bad to say about it, it was very effective and would definitely recommend it, especially if you wear a lot on your eyes.

Once again I was really excited to be able to review this because my hair was dry from my last coloring. I really liked the shampoo so I was excited to try the masque.
Like the shampoo it was rich and creamy, it had a really nice texture to it. I found the smell to be similarly "artificial" like the shampoo but not quite as bad. I left it in my towel dried hair for about 3 minutes and then rinsed. I definitely noticed a difference, it already felt much smoother, I actually couldn't stop touching my hair in the shower because it was so nice.
I then dried my hair and was very happy with the results. My hair was shiny and very smooth. The ends of my hair were so much better than before. It did a really great job at moisturizing those dry ends. I also felt my hair looked much healthier. I've tried hair masques in the past and this one far surpassed those.
I think for me, like the shampoo, the price is a bit high but if I could afford it I will definitely use it again and most definitely recommend it to people.

I was really excited to have been chosen to test out this shampoo, especially since my hair got really dry from my last coloring. I tried the shampoo on it's own first.
I thought it looked creamy and rich and at first I thought the smell was quite pleasant. It felt really nice in my hair, but I found I liked the smell less and less. I don't know what it was, but I can only describe it as artificial. It certainly wasn't enough to make me stop using it, just not as pleasant as it seemed at first. I can't really comment about color wash out because I used a different brand of dye and it had been washing out a lot already.(it didn't really bother me though, because i want it to wash out anyway)
Even while I was showering my hair felt better, smoother. I was pleasantly surprised when I combed my hair, I didn't even need to use a detangling spray! I dried and flat ironed it and my hair felt and looked so much better than before. It was shinier and felt smoother and I can only assume it will keep getting better the more I use it. The 'artificial" smell of it also went back to the pleasant smell when it was all dry.
I thought it worked really well and I really liked using it. I can overlook the smell as the results are well worth it. I think it's a bit pricey for me, but if I could afford it I would definitely buy it again as well as recommend it to anyone who needs help with dry hair.

I first saw Splat at both the Rexall and Shoppers where I live. What attracted me at first was the price, about 15$ for both the color and bleach. I was really curious about it and read some reviews online
Before Christmas I saw a friend who said she loved it, Manic Panic didn't work in her hair, and she said there was enough color. Her hair is longer and thicker than mine. My sister-in-law wanted me to put streaks in her hair and I used the Splat kit for her. As a thank you she bought me one in Blue Envy. She is so super sweet. So I did not have to pay for it myself, which was nice. Here's what I thought.
I had some roots going on and had to tackle them first, so it was nice that bleach was included. I found it a little thinner than I'm used to, it was easier to work with by putting it in a dish and using a tinting brush to apply as opposed to the nozzle bottle. I thought the bleach was pretty stellar, it brought my very dark brown hair (with red undertones) to a pale yellow. I don't think any bleach has gotten it so light before, so I was off to a good start.
You can dye your hair right away, but I decided to do it the next day. Wash your the bleach out really well or the dye won't work.
As I said I went with Blue Envy, a bright slightly dark shade, similar to Manic Panics Shocking Blue. Other than my roots, the rest of my hair was faded blue. I was a bit worried because you only get 3 ounces of color ( Manic Panic is 4 Ounces and I usually need almost a full one). Also it came in a little bottle, which I did not like. I found it was difficult to really get all the dye out. Again I put it in a dish and used a tinting brush to apply. It covered my hair but I feel I could have used more for my ends.
This stuff is pretty concentrated so be very careful not to get it anywhere!! It says to leave it in 15 minutes for a few weeks of color or 30 minutes for up to 6 months. I'm used to leaving my dye in for 8 hours so I thought it was a small number. I went on there Facebook page and asked for some advice. I decided on about 3 hours and then rinsed. It says to rinse until clear, but I never really do because I feel I'm washing it all out. I thought the color was great, a really nice bright-ish blue without any green undertones to it ( my problem with my usual brand).
Here's where I started liking it less. My hair felt dry afterwards and kind of grimy. It's like my hair had some kind of grossness over it. If I put my hands on my hair my hands got blue grime on them. Thank god I have black pillowcases! I'm sure they would be ruined had they been white. I also woke up with some blue on my neck and face, it does wash off but it still sucks. I figured it would be better when I finally washed my hair for the first time. It bled a ton, I did have a lot on my scalp, but this was ridiculous and I still had that gross feeling going on.
I also thought it faded a little too much, except maybe the roots. I recently washed it again and it still bled a lot! Usually it bleeds while I wash it, and maybe a very light blue will fall while I shower. This time it just kept bleeding dark blue color, I felt like I was washing myself with smurfs. The grossy feeling was gone but again, it faded quite a bit. The fading in 2 washes with Splat is about the equivalent of about 5 washes with Manic Panic, if not more(For me anyway). Once again the fading with my roots weren't so bad.
Overall I was disappointed with how it turned out. I think it may have been more successful if my hair would have been completely bleached first, and not just dyed over my Manic Panic. Maybe that had something to do with it, maybe not. I don't like how quickly it faded ( I wash in cold water with a sulfate free shampoo) and it dried out my hair. I would definitely buy the bleach again though, if they sold it separately, I thought it worked really well on dark hair.
I think it really depends on your hair. If you're new to dying and plan on bleaching it out, you might want to try this, you probably would have better results. But I can't recommend it very much because of my own experience with it.They do not test there product on animals.
