I am insanely in love with chocolate. I really think it is one of the best things ever, though I'm sure my dentist would disagree. I'm not too picky about it, except I hate dark chocolate, yes it's healthier and you can taste it. Chocolate is not supposed to be good for you, to me it needs to be sweet and sugary and delicious, not bitter and gross.
It had been awhile since I last had a Dairy Milk fruit and nut and when I was at the Rexall they were 4 for 5$, a bargain I say! I chose that and the Toffee one (which is also divine, that's a perfect chocolate review word btw) my boyfriend chose mint ( get out of my chocolate, I hate you) and Hazelnut ( perfectly acceptable but boring).
When I got home and ate it later that night my love for it was immediately rekindled! It was so smooth and creamy. It was sweet but not overly so. The nuts add a delicious texture and a bit of a sweetness break and the raisins add a different level of sweet and a nice chewy texture. crunchy, chewy and smooth. Perfectly divine! I am now super obsessed with them, if it were a person I would currently be stalking it and swiftly receiving a restraining order from it.
I went back for more, because sales don't last forever. Then they went back to regular price, and I can't justify buying it as such when I know that Dollarama sells chocolate for cheaper, not that kind though( kit Kat chunky will have to do) :(
To make a long story longer, they were on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart (4 for 5$ again!) so you best believe I bought more, even though I had already hit up the Dollarama I could not pass them up!
In conclusion this chocolate is incredible and if you enjoy sweet milk chocolate, I more than recommend it! And the Toffee one as well( crunch-a-licious(that was purposely lame)) and mint ,if you're into that being in chocolate(I am judging you). Any Dairy Milk variety really is a win to me, but especially Fruit and Nut.

If you've ever read any of my reviews you'll most likely notice that this is my go to place. I mostly go for makeup so let's start with that.
They always have what's new pretty much right away. They sell brands ranging in price such as the cheaper NYC, to the more "average" well known brands like Rimmel,Cover Girl,Maybelline, etc. to higher end ones that I can't name because I usually stay away from there un-budget conscience prices(except that one lipgloss worth 20$ that I got for 10$, I wrote a review if you're interested ;)
Anywhoo, they always have a great selection, it always looks nice and clean and organized and the woman who works in that department is always very nice, helpful and knowledgeable (what's the difference between "blackest black" and "extremely black"?) Of course my favorite thing is that almost every week they have something or some brand on sale from 20%-50% off. They've had 50% off lip products, mascaras, etc.
They also have other items for good prices, especially when on sale, like hairspray ( I have to be desperate to pay 7, almost 8$ for mine, I try and stock up while on sale) or toothbrushes(2 for 3$ anyone?) I also enjoy there store brand products when the name brand ones are not on sale, mostly moisturizer and toner. Kleenex ( tissues not the brand) often go on sale, sometimes, actually often times even Royale which they even put on sale for LESS than store brand! Incredible, I know! Household items, mostly air fresheners and cleaning supplies are pretty well priced, you can get some good deals
. I look up the flyer online ALL THE TIME! Seriously, and then I get excited and drag my boyfriend with me for amazing savings, which you don't even have to calculate yourself, they do it for you , on your receipt! Everyone is always very nice and very helpful, the store is always neat and clean and they also have sales on chocolate!(not often but it happens) I really can't say this about all Rexalls but the one in Kingston is my favorite! I really do recommend it all the time to my mom and sisters, they never listen though. There loss!( of savings)

I was looking for a shampoo that would be a little gentler on my colored hair but I definitely didn't want to buy a salon brand, it probably works well but is too expensive for a frugalista like myself. I paid about 10$ for it and that too me was almost too much, I'm on a budget!
I guess I kind of jumped the gun a little in buying it , I looked up reviews and most were negative! What had i done? Did I waste a whole 10$ on crumby shampoo? I admit there was other "sulfate free" organic shampoo but this one smelled amazing! Even though I was already disappointed there was no way this was getting wasted, and i finally found a few good reviews after digging around which gave me hope.
It didn't lather much, which I already knew, but it lathered more than I thought. The smell was still amazing and I did notice the washout of my Manic Panic locks was less than with my regular shampoo.
My problem was when I was drying it, the back felt gross, I knew I had washed it, so my heart sank. One review did say it took a few uses before your hair became accustomed to a shampoo like that so I washed it again. With my second wash I figured out that my problem was rinsing, you really need to rinse your hair a lot more than with a regular shampoo
. But my hair was better than the first time, I still wasn't blown away but I continued to use it and that reviewer was right, I think. My hair started getting used to it. I found my hair was so much easier to style, it didn't feel weighed down or too "flyaway-ee"( I hope you understand what I'm TRYING to say) I thought my hair looked healthy, shiny and definitely not dry. And of course smelled amazing!
I'm really glad I gave this shampoo a chance, and most importantly I did not waste 10 of my precious dollars for nothing. I would say give it more than one try, stick with it for at least 4 washes and then decide.

I was happy to receive this because I really wanted to try a crackle type top coat but was too cheap for O.P.I or worried that a cheaper brand wouldn't work. I was unimpressed at first, it just didn't look right, but I hadn't really nailed the technique yet so I tried again. You do have to put it on quickly and be sure to put a thicker layer on. I also tried it over a few different brands and colors and find it works better on some than others so a little experimentation with it is something I recommend.
I guess my review doesn't seem super great, but for the price I think it's worth it. Overall I loved the effect and it did "shatter". It worked really well with a metallic color underneath like silver or a very bright one like hot pink.

I admit I was not too impressed with it at first, but i continued to use it and I'm glad I did. My lashes look longer and more voluminous. It wasn't clumpy and it didn't give me "spider" lashes. Nothing beats false lashes, I don't think a mascara can really replace them, but this did make my lashes look amazing and I think it comes close. Which is great because I have no patience to actually put on falsies.

I bought this eyeshadow in Eternal black. I was not disappointed! The eyeshadow is very pigmented,it just feels and looks rich. It has lasting power and did not crease when I wore it. It's so luxe and so sparkly , I'm always on the lookout for really good black eyeshadow and this one surpassed my expectations.
I'm really not one to spend 10$ on an eyeshadow, i bought mine for 30% off, which for me was still a bit high, but it's so worth the money. They have a good variety of colors, and i would buy them if I wore more colored eyeshadow. A lot of great shades especially for all those Christmas and New Years parties.
I love it and most definitely recommend it!

I whitened my teeth today with these Crest whitestrips and I was quite disappointed. I really didn't notice much of a difference at all :(
My teeth weren't horribly stained or anything, but they could have used a little brightening. The first problem for me was the lack of instructions, I mean it's not like you need to be a genius to understand what to do but it really would have been helpful to have more information.
I found the bottom strip to be a little small and the top one a bit too big, I had trouble getting in my mouth. I noticed a bit of a taste, but nothing unbearable. It did feel weird at first and i wondered how I would last 2 hours, but I got used to them after awhile. I didn't experience any discomfort while I had them in nor when I took them off.
I found taking them off was a bit difficult and the strips were very sticky, even so my teeth were not. I didn't feel any residue or stickiness, my teeth felt super clean but weren't very noticeably whiter. My top teeth maybe, but I had difficulty with my bottom teeth, they aren't super straight so I had to play around with the strip to get it on right. I was worried about tooth sensitivity, but I had none.
I'm going to get my boyfriend to try them out and update if he has results. I'm happy I got these through the review club because I would have been angry had \i paid that much for nothing.

I want to start by saying that there isn't anything terribly wrong with this product, I just don't think it's worth so much money for such small results.
I'm not an avid user of Aveeno products but I always think of them to be of very good quality, and a little over my budget which is why I usually stay away from them. Scent is important too me, so I was happy that it was pleasant and not too strong. The rollerball itself can be cooling and rather soothing. When I put it on I felt more awake, like my eyes instantly opened up, which is great for early mornings.
Other than that I really didn't find it very effective. My eyes didn't seem less puffy. I actually woke up one morning and used it under 1 of my eyes to compare. The puffiness in both eyes lessened in time with both, the one with Aveeno was not all that much faster at all. I also learned not to apply it soon after washing my face, if I did I got an unpleasant burning sensation, nothing life shattering, but still uncomfortable.
I was happy I got to try this ( through Chick Advisors product review club) because it is pricey. Again, nothing terribly wrong with it, I just can't recommend something so expensive that gave me such little results.

I buy baby wipes to take off my eye makeup before washing my face. I wear a lot of dark heavy eye makeup and I didn't want to stain any more facecloths nor do I enjoy rubbing my eyes with one. I find makeup remover cloths to be needlessly expensive for the amount you get. I saw these for 2$ at a liquidation store and figured that if there good enough for a babies bottom then they should be fine for my face. They work great! There is no scent, the cloth is soft and not too wet. It took off all my makeup without a problem, it isn't harsh or scratchy. i would buy them again.

This is the only hairspray that I buy. I've been using it for a few years and will continue to do so. I find it to be pretty much the only one that has ever really worked in my hair. This isn't really for people who do minimal styling with there hair, it really is for people who have something specific and need it to stay. I style my hair with a lot of volume and this helps it stay there all day. if you want your hair to "move" and look natural, then don't use it. Your hair will have stiffness to it. I also really liked it when i had very short hair, you can use it to make your hair look really textured and know it will stay that way. If you want texture or need extreme hold than I definitely recommend this. -
