The After-Shave Cream Gel is both a moisturizer and calming after-shave in one. It has the same woodsy-citrus fragrance and feels so luxurious on the skin. The cédrat fruit in the formula works to even out the skin's tone and texture overtime, just like many other acidic fruits. The BF Loves how this feels on the skin, and it pairs beautifully with the shower gel/shampoo in the line! -

These lip treatments are very much peony scented, but the flavour isn't like tasting a real flower petal. It's almost a candied floral, which tastes pleasantly sweet. I love the tint of the Rose coloured balm I got, and it has an added SPF of 25. This metal twist-cap packaging is very similar to the Sugar Lip Treatment balms which have been all the rage over the past few years. In my opinion, these are just one step above since Sugar lip balms have a much softer consistency that melts and may break in a warm environment. The Sugar balms have an SPF of 15 and cost $26 for just about the same amount of product. Though they do give off a slightly richer colour, I'm almost certain that these Peony balms would last longer overall. -

One of my favourite components of the Pivone Sublime collection is the Peony Perfecting Mist. You can use this at any time of day: in the morning before your moisturizer, in the afternoon for a touch of glow, or in the evening to "set" your makeup. This bottle is a perfect 100ml, which means that it is airline friendly and can be used as a refresher midway through a flight. The air inside planes can get very dry, and my skin absolutely drinks up a toning mist whenever I bring one along for the ride. -

The peony extract works to correct uneven skin texture, refine pores and fine lines, while enhancing the complexion overall. Floral extracts have been used in skincare for centuries, and with good reason. Not only do they smell divine, but flowers hold a multitude of benefits which help to increase turnover, repair and renewal of skin cells.

Embryolisse makes one of the most basic yet effective facial moisturizers on the market. This cream is best suited for normal to dry skin, since this is has a combination of shea butter and emollient oils that can be a bit too heavy for my combination-oily skin. There is no SPF, and it can even be used to dissolve and remove makeup. No wonder it's a makeup artist favourite worldwide. -

This is a classic drugstore moisturizer that lives up to the claims. It holds enough moisture for someone with normal skin, but still feels light enough for those who are more oily. I love using the Positively Radiant moisturizer in the Spring and Summer, when I know that i'll be outside for just a short period of time. -

A nice drugstore alternative would be the Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream since it has a very similar texture and costs around $10.

I am SO happy that Joe Fresh came out with a skincare line, and I'm even happier now that I love it. Their Replenish Night Cream is under $20 and is packed with great ingredients: aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and a bunch of plant oils. It's ideal for normal to DRY skin since the formula is quite oily and it can leave combo skin feeling congested if too much is applied. I always use this in the winter, or on particularly dry patches. Look for the line at Loblaws stores. -
