'Over 50" should be my user name. Hard Candy, with all the glittery stuff, is aimed at young girls. You go, girls! Glitter while you can! Past 40, you need to start going more matte, especially on eye shadow.
Luckily, I have a twenty-something fashionista daughter who spends ,,,well. she has a LOT of cosmetics. So, I get to do some trying at home. I tried this primer & fell i love with it!
NOTE: If you have dry, "aging" ( ugh ) skin, put on your moisturizer first & wait until it has absorbed.
My Moisturizer is a very good grapeseed oil. I've tried all the fancy & expensive, from Olay to an incredibly expensive Swedish product. Our GreatGrandmothers knew best! Mine used olive oil & she had incredible skin into her 90's. A lot of women use olive oil. It's probably better than anything at the cosmetics counter.
I just prefer grapeseed oil. I buy one large bottle for the kitchen of course. You cook with it, fry with it, use it for salad dressing ( THAT'S the place where I prefer very good olive oil ). I used to take a Tbl. a day while an ulcer was healing. NOTICE: I'M NOT RECOMMENDING IT MEDICINALLY, I HAD A GASTROENTEROLOGIST!
Anyway, after my shower, with cleansed face, I head to the kitchen. Pour a smidgen ( 1/8 tsp. or less ) of the oil in my left hand, rub my hands together & smooth th oil all over face & neck area. If I'm on a "Beauty" day, I'll use a little teensy more, do my entire chest area, BACK of neck & EARLOBES! Ever see a woman at a special event who's had, maybe some lifting, good product, looks very finished., BUT, there is that Decollete and, honestly, WRINKLY EARLOBES. I make sure to do this once a week.
Anyway, back to everyday, do something else for 10 minutes while grapeseed oil is totally absorbed.. Or your preferred moisturizer...give it a few minutes before priming for makeup.
Now, I put on the Hard Candy Primer. I still get a kick out of how smooth & silky my face feels. It also evens tones. Somedays, if I'm not going out, just seeing family, I stop there, w/out foundation or powder & just do my eyes lightly. Otherwise, I add JUST FACE IT FOUNDATION. Just a little, it's on the thicker side, a little goes a long way, so put it on sparingly. After that, I look 10 years younger and have a perfect "canvas" for whatever makeup I'm wearing.
GREAT PRODUCT!

Over 50, I don't use a lot of "shimmery" cosmetics. i LOVE Hard Candy Primer, Just Face It Foundation. great Both are great for older skin; no sinking in lines. Soo... I see the Megawatt Smile with Tooth Whitener. Tooth Whitener? I had to try it. It works. Not only does it immediately lighten your teeth about a half a shade to one shade (IF you apply it twice, keep your mouth open a minute for it to dry a little). I noticed, after using the lipstick daily for about 6 days,,,my teeth STAYED whiter, even without the lipstick on! Hmm. I'm only worried about what's in it ; Can it hurt the enamel? I'd love Hard Candy to give some info on that. With magnifying glass, I check side - all ingredients & a note that they don't use animals.
By the way, I keep a 99c Only store Magnifying Glass in my purse - ALWAYS. ( That & a good pencil flashlight are an absolute. That way, I can read labels on anything. It's WORTH it & has saved me from buying some products with dubious ingredients,
The lipstick itself is very moisturizing. It seems to spread a little, so definitely use a pencil lip liner. It won't spread past the pencil & it fills in there, so your pencil line doesn't look harsh.
Somebody said it felt "minty". I think that's a lip plumper in it! That's what I"M experiencing.
SOO.. for Six Bucks? I'm going back to buy another one, maybe two...3, etc. before , like everything I love, it gets discontinued! So, yes, it's worth every penny.!
