I was really excited to finally have the cult classic Hope in a Jar in my hands because I heard so many rave reviews. I needed something really moisturizing and something that would brighten my skin up. I've given it 2 months now and it still makes my skin feel tight and peel. I keep having to apply my Cetaphil over top. It does brighten up my skin but does nothing for moisture. It also has a funny smell and I'm not sure if that's how it normally smells or if it's gone bad?? Oh well, I really wanted to love it but I guess I'll stick with my Cetaphil or try When Hope is Not Enough. Has anyone tried this one? -

I love Nars and definitely recommend their products. Orgasm is a beautiful colour but I do think there is too much hype over it. It's been labeled the most universally flattering blush but I think otherwise. It's flattering on fair-med skin tones but barely shows up on darker skin tones. Nars' Deep Throat is a good alternative for darker skin tones if you want the same effect as Orgasm. But otherwise it is a beautiful blush and stays on quite well. This was THE blush that I used on Ali during the filming of the podcast Where'd You Get That?! :) -

With new skincare one it usually takes a good month until your skin adapts to it. During that month your skin can go through tight or dry patches and some times even break out. But if you get a reaction like a rash then you should stop using it immediately. In my case I have combination skin and the first time I tried it I like how moisturizing and light the texture was. The smell of cucumbers was refreshing as well. But almost immediately, my skin went tight and I noticed little dry patches everywhere and it left a waxy residue on my skin. Well, obviously I probably wasn't the right skin type for this lotion but I decided to try it for a month to give it a fair chance in case my skin needed to adapt to it. Day 2 wasn't better. Day 3 I couldn't take it anymore and applied my Cetaphil moisturizer over top of it. My skin was back to normal and felt soft and supple like it usually does after using Cetaphil. I love this moisturizer because clears up any allergies or dry spots right away. I've tried so many moisturizers and this is the one I always keep going back to. This moisturizer is even light enough for oily skin. I know it's gotten a good rating from others but I think I'll stick to my Cetaphil! -

I love this liner as well! After the mascara disappointment, this product put Cover Girl back in my good-books. I have always loved liquid liner especially now that the Old Hollywood has made a return. It's so compact and easy to hold. The point is sturdy and precise. You can go from thin to thick so easily. It glides on evenly and smoothly not like some other formulas I've tried. It lasts all day and comes off with eye makeup remover so easily. I love this because I don't have to use an angle brush which takes the extra step out of it. I carry it in my makeup bag in case I need to glam up my makeup on the go. I've been using this liner all week during my Pink Beauty looks as well. This is definitely something I'll be stocking up on! -

I've heard so many great things about this mascara so I was excited when we received in the shop crawl swag bag. Since I have straight, thin lashes very few mascaras will work for me. I thought the brush was pretty cool and did a good job of getting to every lash. What I hated was that the formula weighed my lashes down and separated my lashes to the point where it looked thinner instead of adding volume. I too found that it felt crunchy than soft so that was also a big down factor. I'm sure this mascara is great for women that already have full long lashes even though it claims to volumize your lashes. I'll stick to L'oreal Voluminous (waterproof) as well! -
I really fell in love with all the unique shoes and bags in the store! I saw like 4 pairs of boots that I wanted. In reality, their prices aren't that expensive for the quality that you're getting but during the shop crawl I was just too broke lol... +
I really fell in love with all the unique shoes and bags in the store! I saw like 4 pairs of boots that I wanted. In reality, their prices aren't that expensive for the quality that you're getting but during the shop crawl I was just too broke lol. I just couldn't justify paying over $150 for a pair of shoes with a kid at home who needs winter clothes lol. But when I get the money I'll be sure to go back. The shoes all seemed to focus on comfort as well. You'll definitely love the styles because it isn't your typical mall store styles! -

Scale 1-10 (1 Sucks! 10 So Rocks!)
1. Effectiveness: My hair gets extremely poofy when it starts to dry so when I received Sunsilk's Anti-Poof Shampoo and Conditioner I was tres excited but very weary. I wouldn't exactly claim it's "anti-poof" because the poof factor is definitely still there. I'd rate it a 6, however, had I tried it with the 24/7 creme it's effectiveness probably would've been close to a 9. On the smooth factor it would get a 8.5 because my hair does feel soft and smooth after. My hair also doesn't feel weighed down or waxy.
2. Scent: I'd give it an 8 because it's nice and not overwhelming.
3. 2nd Chance? I'd say a 7. I think I need to try all 3 products together to really give it an honest review. I'd use it again because it certainly isn't as poofy as it normally is when I use regular shampoo and conditioner. I think depending on the range of coarseness your hair is normal wavy hair could probably get away with just using the shampoo and conditioner but coarse thick hair like mine would need the extra 24/7 creme.

The aviators I really want are from Gucci, but I've been wearing a pair of bronze aviators from H&M and love them! I get so many compliments on them and they've lasted me a couple of years! I recently bought a white and red pair from H&M- and at $7.90 you really can't go wrong. The newer ones fit a little bigger but they are still just as chic. Check out - they seem to be selling out fast in every colour! -

I had been wanting to get Nars' Duo Cream Eyeshadow in Thebes for a long time and finally the Sephora store in the Eaton Centre finally stocked it. Since I'm a new mom and have no time to fuss with brushes I love how easy to apply it is - swipe swipe and you're done. The colour goes on sheer but you can keep applying if you want more colour. You can wear it alone for a soft wash of colour or layer it under a powder shadow for a stronger effect. It includes a platinum shimmer and sheer gold shimmer and is a perfect combo for the spring trends of metallic silvers and golds. It's very portable and comes with a convenient mirror for touch-ups. The colour stays true all day but I still get crease lines. Once it gets warmer out I'll have to test its longevity then. I would definitely recommend this for people on the go - it makes your eyes look awake and bright and can also be worn as a highlighter on your cheekbones. Love it! -
