My preteen son uses this together with the Blemish Control wipes and the two products have done a good job of controlling his breakouts. He prefers the cleansing cloths for quick convenience but uses this cleanser in the shower. I am religious about having him put on moisturizer after using a blemish control product because I have found on my own skin that they can be drying. So together with his moisturizer, we have found a regimen that works for him and that I don't have to pester him to follow! Win/win :) -

I buy this for my preteen who is just starting puberty and has started to experience breakouts. I buy it together with another St. Ives blemish fighting product and they have both made a difference in his skin. It's hard to say which product has which effect since he switches back and forth between both over the span of a week, but these cleansing cloths are definitely a convenience for him! Anyone who has a (pre) teenage son knows that while they may be vain deep down about pimples, they don't want to act like they are so whatever we moms can do to make face care easy and convenient is the most important. These Cleansing Cloths definitely fit the bill. -

I have used all sorts of Dove Beauty Bars over the years, and every time I defect to liquid soap (only for perceived convenience) and then return to Dove eventually, I am always pleasantly surprised anew - and I wonder why I defected in the first place.
So moisturizing, nice light scents, and really kind to my skin! I definitely recommend Dove Beauty Bars (and "Restore" is my current favourite)!

I don't use hairspray every day but when I need it, this is my favourite product. It gives me hold without stiffness and brushes out nicely at the end of the day.
Keep in mind, I usually wear my hair in a free flowing style and so I only need a light misting of product. I tried this on a more formal updo once and found that it was a little less effective for that purpose but I have really heavy and thick hair that requires something industrial to hold it in place for such occasions.
Overall, great for light and beachy hairstyles that want just enough hold without looking like you're wearing any spray!

So as the name suggests, these are designed for precision work. I don't use them for cleaning around my ears (prefer the classic Q-Tips for that) but these are definitely my go-to for fixing makeup mistakes or cleaning around my nails after a home manicure (much, MUCH cleaning required after my DIY manis! I'm like a kindergartner when I do my own nails).
Sure, they are a little expensive but that's why I only use these precision tips for certain purposes and stick with the basic Q-Tip for my everyday needs. I've tried store brand versions and keep coming back to the Q-Tip brand. They are superior, simple as that.

Another flavoured drink from Canada Dry Ginger Ale, this time in a summery blackberry flavour! I thought they really nailed it with the blackberry, having assumed it might taste more like grape soda (which I do NOT enjoy). You can also still tasted the ginger ale as the base flavour which I liked. My kids also gave it a big thumbs up!
Tastes best chilled (obviously) and I think it'd work well in a mixed drink too. If you drink flavoured soft drinks, you'll probably enjoy this too. Great addition to your spring barbecue beverage bucket! We'll probably buy this again.
I received a free product from Canada Dry but as always, my opinions are my own.

It's just tart enough to balance the sweetness from the ginger ale but doesn't mask that characteristic twang of the ginger. It's probably my favourite soft drink hands down. Really perfect for the fall/winter holiday season and I make sure I buy it every time I have a family party during that time! -

This suncare lip balm worked well for me. I have honestly never thought about the importance of spf on my lips before, and had bought it as an impulse buy one time.
It wears a little heavier than regular lip balm but I really felt like it protected better. We were at the ocean when I used it for the first time and I even feel like it did a better job of protecting my lips against the drying effects of saltwater.
I've purchased it a few times now, especially for vacations!

I went to Thermea last night for their Thermal Experience and.. WOW. It was a fantastic experience!
Thermea is a Skandinavian-style day resort with saunas, steam rooms, plunge pools and relaxation areas. It is designed so that visitors follow a cycle of Heat, Cool, Relax with 3 trips through the cycle for maximum benefit.
For the Heat cycle, choose between a large Finnish dry sauna, a small traditional dry sauna, and two scented steam rooms. After heating up for about 10-15 minutes, you go to one of the plunge pools: a 10 deg C cold pool or a 20 deg C temperate pool. After a few minutes of cooling, it's off to one of the relaxation areas: a room of heated tile loungers, a warm room with mats to lie down, or adirondack chairs around a firepit outdoors.
They also have a hot tub, restaurant, and a range of massage services. The whole complex is built like a ring with the plunge pools and firepit in the inner courtyard. The basic Thermal Experience costs $49+tax and it is an all day pass. We only had about 2 hours in there and next time I will allow myself closer to 3 hours.
Our experience yesterday happened to be on Getaway Tuesday so for a little extra we also received a light snack and sparkling wine in the restaurant. The package included bathrobe rental and they have plenty of towels. You really only have to bring a swimsuit. You can wear your bathrobe into the restaurant too, so it truly feels like one seamless experience until you're ready to hit the shower and leave.
BEST OF ALL, all areas of the Thermal Cycle are either whispering only or complete silence imposed. Don't come here to cackle with your friends (as our neighbours in the steam room did and someone had to shush them); save it for the restaurant later.
This spa is open year round and there are additional lounging areas available seasonally (they call it their "Forest Beach". We were here in March on an evening with light winds and probably -5 deg C and that was absolutely perfect.
After our experience I was so relaxed and we slithered home and straight into bed. My only regret is that it's clear across the city from our house so I don't know how often we will be able to go. However, we will go again! Many times, I'm sure. I highly recommend!

Wow, I am really impressed with this Nivea In-Shower body milk! I have had mixed feelings about this type of product before because I have not found them particularly effective, but this is definitely an exception.
It's late winter now as I'm writing this review and I always have very dry skin at this time of year. After a shower, lotion is a necessity, not a luxury! When I use this Nivea product, I do not have to use lotion after I step out. It saves me a little extra time and I like the light fragrance.
The only thing to be mindful of is, just like any other in-shower lotion, you should know that your shower/bathtub surface might get a little slippery, but making sure the floor area is well rinsed takes care of that.
I received my bottle for free but I will definitely repurchase when this bottle runs out. Great product, Nivea!
