As with most frozen drinks, once you get toward the bottom and most of the flavour has been sucked out, the watery ice left over is not as good, but by then I'm usually ready to toss the cup. -

Oh I did think of one negative thing. My daughter and her friends keep raiding my stash and I'm always cleaned out when I need one.

I have long, medium-weight, and plentiful hair. It's also colour treated and has a strong natural wave. It's been a long process of trying many different hair care lines because I haven't found a truly all-purpose system for my hair.
I am very impressed with Aqua Light because it's the only system I've tried that doesn't weigh my hair down. As important as colour protection and hydration are to me, I find such products often leave residue and flatten my style. Aqua Light is safe to use on coloured hair and provides enough hydration for my needs. The fact that I received this for free has not influenced my opinion: that this is my current favourite hair care line.

I also received a sample of this product from the Welcome Wagon and was hooked from day one. It really is one of the best diaper creams I have tried. Occasionally I would use another cream and it'd work fine... for a while. The only cream that kept my babies' diaper rashes at bay was Sudocrem. It is a little pricey to be sure, but for me it was more than worth the cost to keep my kids' tender skin healthy. -

If you buy one classic novel in your lifetime, let it be Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Just one read will never be enough to catch all of the nuances and careful snark she's cleverly woven in. I read this book at least once a year and am always discovering neat little easter eggs hidden here and there. My appreciation of her work has of course been expanded by reading many of her other books, but this is truly the gem of the collection.
As in all of her books, the plot focuses on the successful marrying-off of young ladies in varying stages of financial, emotional, and social distress. The characters are by necessity exaggerated a little, but it provides a fun look at what real life issues were in play during the early 1800s when Austen was writing about - and personally experiencing - these realities.
Great book to have in your library!

It's a very similar treat to Rocher except it's made from coconut and almond instead of chocolate and hazelnut. You might immediately ask what's the point since there is no chocolate, but you'd be missing out. This is the yin to Rocher's yang. Just try it and see for yourself! So good!

This chocolate is ridiculous. As in, ridiculously delicious! It's basically a candy truffle with a toasted coconut over hard chocolate outer and a creamy hazelnutty (like Nutella actually) inner. You will fight over the last piece in the box with your friends and family. You will buy them as a housewarming present but accidentally-on-purpose eat them yourself.
Basically, you will adore these chocolates. Soooo good!

If you love dark chocolate but are in the mood for something just a little bit different, you should give this "Touch of Sea Salt" bar a try. It's not intuitive that it would taste this good but it really does.
If you're not such a huge dark chocolate fan, this is a good in-between version with only about 50% cocoa. Smooth but not too sweet... I'll accept your thanks for my reco in advance - You're Welcome.

This is a chocolate for someone who wants to make a point.
The reason I say this is because the taste is really intense. If you've ever baked with cocoa powder before (making a chocolate cake or brownie from scratch, for example), you know that there is such a thing as too much cocoa.
Don't get me wrong, I did like this chocolate. It's just not for the uninitiated. If you are iffy on dark chocolate to begin with, I'd suggest you steer clear. But if you're a serious dark chocoholic this is a good option for you.
One or two squares and your chocolate fix is done. Unlike milk chocolate where - let's be honest now - you probably want to eat the entire bar, this amount of cocoa gets it done in a fraction of the quantity AND you can feel justified due to the minor health benefits of dark chocolate.
Personally it's too strong for me. I love Lindt chocolate but will probably stick to their 70% bar or the Dark with Sea Salt (I think that one is around 50% cocoa).

I recently watched this movie with my husband, who promptly declared "I don't get it" and "do you girls REALLY act like that?" Both comments earned him an eye roll, but this is coming from a guy who feels 300 was cinematic perfection (extra gore, minimal romance, mega special effects, etc). But I digress...
This movie is hilarious. Sure it gets a little infantile with some bathroom humour and the like, but I've seen a lot worse. I was happy to see that many of the funny bits were genuinely comical (I really hate it when EVERY joke is a bathroom or bedroom one - how unoriginal!), but what I absolutely loved is the raw and real behind-the-scenes look at the craziness that is wedding planning.
Having said that, Maya Rudolph's character was way too zen and un-Bridezilla like, but if the writers would have gone there, it would have completely distracted from the focal character which is her Maid of Honour (the fabulous Kristin Wiig). The romantic twists and turns were real and cheesy and facepalmy and heartwarming... exactly what they should be.
But my biggest shout out really has to go to Melissa McCarthy who totally stole the show with her Oscar-nominated performance. SO funny, SO real, and so unexpected considering her co-stars' megawatt talents. Having seen an episode or two of Mike & Molly (in which she plays Molly - a bit of a safe character IMO), it's fantastic to see her really hitting it hard in Bridesmaids.
Great flick, may or may not be a keeper for the DVD library, but definitely a worthy pick for Girls' Night In!
