It's true what they claim - this detergent does seem to clean more deeply than the competition.
Having 3 kids, I am ALWAYS on the lookout for a better detergent. I don't even want to think about how high my pile of laundry is right now. I received this detergent in "Fresh Rain" but in truth it is virtually fragrance-free. For me, this is a huge plus as sometimes I can still smell the previous bottle's fragrance on my clothes after a wash with a different brand. Not so with Sunlight Deep Clean.
What it's doing on the microscopic level I can't personally verify, but the claims seem to hold up. This product is designed to remove the body oils, scents and dirt other laundry agents can't, and it certainly appears to be the case. While it won't remove some of the deepest-set stains I have in a few of my favourite towels (my kids left them outside in the rain, and then my dogs got hold of them... long story), I really do feel like my laundry came out cleaner overall.
I will buy this again - if I can find it in the US which I'm dismayed to report that so far, I have not.
*Heads up - there is a $1 off coupon on Save.ca for Sunlight Deep Clean!

YSL's Ombre Solo Lasting-Radiance Smoothing Eye Shadow does exactly what it's name suggests. I tested this product without using a primer and then spent the day running errands in the heat and humidity. This eye shadow stayed put and looked beautiful all day long.
It comes in a beautiful tiny golden compact plus two applicators so you can adjust your look easily on the go. The case is reflective enough to double as a mirror if you're in a pinch.
I usually shy away from mono eyeshadows, as one shade generally isn't enough for whatever look I'm aiming at for the price you pay. I have this product in "Fawn", which is a tawny goldy colour that gives a sunkissed look. In this case, I happily make an exception to my rule.
Great product!

Of all the beauty products I thought I couldn't do without, blush was never one of them. I have naturally rosy cheeks and didn't give two thoughts on the merits of helping Mother Nature out.
Mary Kay Cheek Glaze is the second cream blush I've discovered (the other was from Elizabeth Arden), and it's safe to say I'm officially converted. I received 'Pomegranate' to test, and I will most certainly be buying this again when I run out.
As a summer essential, this product is long lasting and lends a truly natural flush while sitting imperceptibly on my face, not shimmering or flaking like I'm used to with powder blushes. Can I say it again? I. Love. This. Product.
2 thumbs way up!

I have been using this night cream along with the Youth-Extender Day Fluid from Lise Watier's Resist-Age for several weeks. It is designed to delay and repair early signs of aging and is paraben free.
Not being the most disciplined person with wearing a night cream (I'm usually an all-purpose kind of girl), I wondered how much of a difference this cream could make. It is a rich-without-being-heavy cream that makes my skin feel moisturized through and through. I didn't experience breakouts with this product, which has been my bane in the past. I love it almost on that basis alone!
Paired with the Day Fluid, I have experienced a noticeable difference in my fine lines. I would consider purchasing it again, though the price is a little on the high side. These 2 products I did receive free to review from Lise Watier.

Lise Watier's Resist-Age Day Fluid is like tonic for your skin. It is an incredibly light formula that wears comfortably and keeps skin moisturized all day long. And the claims to help delay early signs of aging? I saw noticeable results quickly which continued to improve over the next weeks. My fine lines are not completely gone, but overall I can say this moisturizer is working for me.
I received this product free to sample from Lise Watier, but I would consider buying it again. It is fairly expensive, but a little goes a long way. It does not contain SPF which is unfortunate, but not a deal breaker.

Let me start by saying I've never used a tinted moisturizer before, so I really didn't know what to expect.
Radiant Tinted Day Cream by M. Asam's Vino Gold line is billed as an "instant concealing moisturizer" that contains OPC (an anti-oxidant), grape seed oil, coenzyme Q10, and Vitamin C that is intended to care for your skin as it camouflages your imperfections.
What I liked:
* it absorbs quickly - almost too quickly! Depending on the level of coverage you want, you may need to apply extra or thin it out some with another facial lotion.
* it wears extremely well - no caking, settling, or clogging like you'd expect from many liquid foundations
* it evens skin tone and minimizes pores effectively
* I did not experience any additional shininess on my T-zone after being out and about all day, just the normal amount I'd expect when I walk around bare-faced.
This product is a win for those with minor flaws looking to balance their skin colour and make quick work of morning makeup routine. If you have blemishes or moderate/severe pigmentation, this will not provide strong enough coverage. It also does not contain SPF.
Overall, I liked it! I received this product free to review, but would consider purchasing it again when it's out.

I recently found Rembrandt on sale at the drugstore and had heard such great things about it that I decided to give it a try. The difference was noticeable after a week or so, and with continued use, my teeth are so fresh looking I have people ask me what I use for bleaching.
The best part is that I haven't experienced any increase in sensitivity since defecting from Sensodyne. Rembrandt isn't specifically for sensitive teeth, but in comparison to, say, Colgate Total for Whitening, this works much better.
The regular price is quite the deterrent, but if you can find it on sale or locate a coupon, stock up. I highly recommend it!

This quad from Clarins is appropriately named: "Instant Sun Light". It is an eyeshadow quad plus a complementary liner with two mini brushes. The colour palette is champagne/gold/cinnamon/coffee (my description, not the packaging), with a deep nut brown liner. Each of the shadows has a little shimmer to it that catches the sunlight. While this is not the colour combo I would have chosen for myself at the counter (I received this free to review), I'm having fun with it learning how to adapt the palette for my eye tone.
What I loved best about this product is that, after a hot day (95F/35C) running errands, there was no creasing whatsoever even though I had purposely skipped the eyelid primer to test this theory. This alone is worth it for me.
Great product!

I received this mascara to review, and I've had the privilege of trying many amazing mascaras over the years. It's hard for me to really be wowed by a new product, but in this case I was.
What I loved:
* my lashes feel incredibly soft
* it holds a curl really well
* flaking is minimal or non-existant, which is quite amazing for a non-waterproof mascara
* washes off easily
What I disliked? Nothing really! It delivers volume and length comparable to my other favourite mascaras, so you aren't missing out on anything. It's perhaps a little pricey, but I believe it's worth the cost.
Thumbs up!

During a recent trip to Europe my husband kindly asked me to not go overboard while shopping. How gratifying was the look on his face when I returned from a gander in the shopping district with just 3 tubes of Gehwol! After he stumbled through his apology for thinking me such a spendthrift, he wondered what was so special about this cream that made me not only make a special trip downtown but then to buy 3?
The answer is simple: Gehwol is the best foot cream I have ever tried.
My big problem is cracked heels. I have a balanced diet and try to keep up on my water consumption, but that dry skin just won't resolve on its own. Gehwol is a rich salve that soaks in tingly and after just a few days my heels are noticeably better. I usually still have to slough off the old skin (once it's been softened after a few days' treatment), but then keeping up with Gehwol makes all the difference.
There are some North American brands that come close, but Gehwol is simply the best. If you find yourself in Europe, the whole line is very cheap (buy it at the apothecary/drugstore) - here it's more expensive but very very worth your money.
I really can't recommend it highly enough!
