I have always had dry, cracking heels. Don't even get me started on my toenail cuticles. I have tried many foot products, and several of them worked reasonably well. This product definitely blew the others away.
Its creamy formula has a honey/oat scent, comparable to Aveeno's bodycare line. It soaks right in and I noticed a difference after the first use, though it was after several days of regular application where the difference was dramatic.
I used to pamper my feet most in the warmer months when I knew I'd be wearing sandals. Silly, really, since the dry wintry months are even harder on my feet. I have been using it since January and it's put my tootsies on the right, er, foot for spring. I'm not crazy about the price tag, but it really is the best formula I've ever used.
I recommend it!

The story is of a typical corporate workplace - cubicles, paper jams, annoying coworkers, and more managers than you can count. It follows one programmer who tries his darndest to get fired... without success. Love interest Jennifer Aniston is a fun little bonus, as is weird neighbour Diedrich Bader (formerly of the Drew Carey Show) and the ever hilarious John C. McGinley (of Scrubs).
If you love The Office (NBC show), you must watch Office Space. It's a cult classic for anyone who has ever hated their job. Highly recommended!

My daughter sailed through this book and then promptly bought the full 7-book set 'Shadow Children' by Haddix with her Christmas money. It's a great science fiction adventure for junior readers who don't mind a little predictability. While I have not personally read it, my daughter (5th grade, but she's an advanced reader) recommends it to everyone near and far. -

I received the Smashbox set to review recently and now know what I was missing out on. This cute and practical little case comes with 5 brushes: angled blush, shadow blending, concealer, angled liner, and pencil brush. The case itself is reasonably sturdy and will lend itself well to the squashy conditions of my makeup drawer. The brushes are soft and deliver perfect results.
Late to the party, but pleased all the same. A great kit that I highly recommend!

But what I like best about this product (and the gift set overall), is the relatively small size. I have too many opened lip products already, and I hate throwing them out half full just because they have gotten a little too old. This gloss is mini-sized and I will use every last drop. It also makes it so convenient for my already overstuffed purse!
The full set of 15 is definitely a good seasonal buy to break up into smaller gift for friends, or to ration yourself over the long months until the Christmas sets come back into stock. I recommend it!

The 'Nectar' shade is a gorgeous peachy colour I was a little skeptical about. I generally trend to cool tones, according to my natural skin undertones. But this blush looks so natural, I think I have found a new favourite. The shade and universal wearability is, in my opinion, comparable to the popular NARS Orgasm blush.
Being a cream blush, I find the best way to apply is simply by fingertip. It blends in so seamlessly, it looks like I am blushing naturally. I really can't praise this enough - I will definitely buy it again!
The Ceramide Cream Blush is available in 4 different shades: Pink, Nectar, Honey, and Plum.

Part of the Hong Kong collection, OPI describes this shade as a moonlit violet. I think that is the perfect way to put it.
Worn as a single coat or 2 light coats, the result is a soft and feminine, yet playful violet colour. Layer it up a little heavier and it takes a vampy edge that is all grown up. I can tell right now that it will be my pedicure shade of choice just as soon as the snow thaws. Until then, I'm wearing it as a light punch of colour against an otherwise monochromatic winter wardrobe.
OPI is known for the quality of its polishes, and this is naturally no exception. I recently learned a great tip to make my manicure last longer. Paired with the staying power of OPI, my home manicures no longer look quite so DIY.

With divorce rates and this idea that you can throw in the towel for just about any reason increasing everywhere, I have long campaigned to friends who are in marital difficulties that love is a decision, not an emotion. I think Emily Giffin really understands this. The grass is not greener on the other side, and what you hold in remembrance is not necessarily a fair representation of the truth (ie. you always remember the good and forget the bad). True love can overcome shakeups in a relationship if both people are willing to overcome the past.
Other reviewers have summed up the story and some of its strengths and weaknesses pretty well, so I won't rehash that. I found it less an entertainment and more a thought-provoking story. Great for discussion and another solid effort from Emily Giffen!

I received the white winter wonderlips gloss to review from Cake. It is a companion product to the Snow Woman Bath & Shower Bubbles, also by Cake.
This product is frosty white-coloured. It adds an amazing icicle-like sparkle to your lips which you could wear over lipstick or nude lips. It has the same scent as the bath product, which is a walnut/vanilla mix, but surprisingly has almost no taste (and what flavour there is does not match the scent but isn't unpleasant either). This is probably a good thing - it smells so good you might be tempted to lick it all off and reapply over and over again just like you did back in the day with your favourite flavour of Kissing Potion (remember that?).
The Cake Beauty website lists the sale price for this single gloss at $5 (reg. $10). I think that is a great deal for this paraben-free product that is so pretty to wear. I would definitely buy this again.

Mmm! Smells just like a decadent cake batter you want to lick straight from the bowl! I have used it in the shower on my pouf (bath time is a must-schedule in the near future) and found it to be a very rich lather that did not dry out my skin. The scent is very subtle - I will say it lingers, but will probably only be noticeable at close contact, especially if you use deodorant or perfume after your shower (which will overpower it).
The scent is a warmly delicate mix of toasted walnuts and vanilla - a very girly, very comfy aroma. I love it and I know my kids will love the scent on me. The husband, on the other hand, will wonder where the baking is. Too bad so sad, it's just mommy pampering ;)
This product is paraben free and a fairly large bottle for the price. The Cake Beauty website advertises a sale price of $10 (reg.$20) so it's a little more than I usually spend, but I love the unique scent and marketing of it so I would probably buy it again. Disclaimer: this particular bottle I received free to review.
Recommended, even if you're not a winter lover!
