I've always passed by Dark Horse wanting to go in but never really did till we had our ChickAdvisor fun friday. The atmosphere, space, ambiance, design etc. of the space was the perfect place to just sit down with friends and chit chat over lattes (Exactly what we did). The place is nice, cozy and spacious. The raspberry bar was healthy yet delicious. I tried their creme brulee tea out of curiosity and it was so yummy. I'd definitely recommend this place if you just want to chill and relax. -

I don't really know how to rate this product. I bought it a while back when everyone was hyping about it. The texture is gel like, very light, easy to spread and has a slight flowery/herbal-ish smell to it. It spreads across the face and absorbs really quickly. I've tried this both with mineral/powder foundation and liquid. I didn't find much difference using this primer. I think it's suppose to be filled with antioxidants, vitamins etc. I do however, find that it moisturizes my skin a little. I sort of gave up on this since i'd prefer a silicone base to really create a smooth canvas and sort of create a barrier between my skin and make up. My mom has skin that's a bit on the dryer side so i gave it to her. She enjoyed it since it gives her skin a bit of moisture before her make up application. I think if you use this for a long time, it may give your skin benefits, but as a primer, i don't see the difference it makes. I love love almost all of Laura Mericer products, but this one is not a must. -

I think this is a great product to have for all nail polish lovers. I jumped on the matte nail polish bandwagon and loved the way matte nail polishes looked, i also loved the suede polishes are are basically shimmery/glittery nail polish with a matte finish. I bought a few and wished some of the polishes i already own can be matte too! Well this is the solution. This top coat turns any nail polishes matte. You need really little product and it dries really quick. It makes any nail polish matte! I also find that using regular nail polish with matte coat last a lot longer than matte nail polishes. It's also fun experimenting with this. You can do regular polish with matte tips/reverse etc. I know OPI has a matte coat but it's double the price. This performs well and is well worth it. If you love the matte nails look, this is great. -

I'm wearing this nail polish and i'm really like it. I got to say that the color on the bottle looks slightly different than when it's actually on my nails. I thought it was going to be more pastel purple-ly but it turned out more burgundy/raspberry shade and i quite like it. It's such a girly shade and perfect for fall. The quality is like all the other OPI nail polishes. Smooth, easy to apply, doesn't streak and stays on. -

I received this as a PR sample from ChickAdvisor but i've also used this previously and i think it's well worth the money. I have the one with the green and purple. I don't use this too much on myself since i'm used to my cover fx. But when i do need a color corrector, this is a good option. I use this the most when i do make up on other people. The three skin tones allow you to mix and match to find the perfect color. It does take a while to warm up, but once warmed, it can be easily applied and spread. I do find that you need to use very little and set with powder or else it'll cake a little. This is also great for anyone who wants a concealer for the whole year, you can adjust the color according to your skin color. Also, I haven't broken out with this product, which is great. Overall, a great product if you're a concealer user! -

I've been using this primer forever and i find that it works really well. The name is deceiving because by no means is it a 'clear makeup'. It's really a make up primer. The creates a barrier between the skin and the make up, so it sort of protects your skin from any harmful ingredients or ingredients that may irritate or break out your skin. The primer is a bit tricky to use. The consistency is a bit thick but it absorbs to your skin. The key to this make up primer is to first let your moisturizing/sunscreen set for 2-3 minutes first, then you apply the primer and allow that to set/absorb for another 2-3. If you don't the make up you apply on top make clump or smear. I find that if you use it correctly, it really makes the make up application smoother and protects your skin to a certain degrees. I definitely have less pimples when i use this. It does have silicone derivative which holds moisture and makes your skin smooth, but i know that there are people out there who are sensitive to silicone, so beware if you are. Overall, this is my staple make up primer and i find it works well with my skin and make up routine. -

I cleans well and rinses well and really wakes me up. I love using this body wash. I don't really know about the moisturizing properties but it doesn't leave me body dry. So overall, i like this product. -

Like others have said, this can be a hit or a miss. It saved me on several occasions but also disappointed me in others. I find that if you use it right away and just keep rubbing with quite a bit of product, it usually gets most of the colors out. On white clothes, it creates a slight weird white stains that's not really noticible. I think it's a good thing to keep your purse considering if you do get stuff on your clothes, you really don't have that many options besides this or water. Overall, even though sometimes it doesn't work so well, it at least makes it a bit better, so i do recommend it. -

I'm not the one to usually purchase lip plumpers but i got a pr sample from ChickAdvisor and decided to try it out. I don't know what to make of this lip gloss/plumper. I don't love it, but i don't hate it either. I have this in plumped pink and in the bottle it's a pretty nude pinky colour. The gloss goes on quite clear. And i do like that it's not sticky. In terms of the plumping effect, it does tingle my lips and it feels kind of nice. I do notice a teeny tiny bit of difference in my lips for a little bit but it doesn't last and it's doesn't 'wow' me. It also claims to last up to 6 hours and it doesn't last quite that long for me. Overall, if you're looking for a nude lip gloss, this is a good choice. But if you're looking to get that Angelina Jolie lips for 6 hours straight, you may be disappointed. -

It all start with my mom. You known when you're young and you see your mom with the fancy face creams and serum, you want to try it. I eventually used my mom's Advance Night Repair and i felt so pampered. The product claims to repair past damages, prevent future damages, neutralizes up to 90% of free radicals etc. This really sounds too good to be true right? Well i was sort of disappointed at first since there were really no noticeable difference. But slowly, i felt that my pimples and scars heals and fade faster. It doesn't do anything dramatic in front of your eyes but it does all the work underneath. I hear a lot of people use it when they're younger to help 'prevent' aging later. I'm not really sure of this but i do believe in the restorative properties of this product. Since the price is ridiculous and the product is runny so it doesn't last as long, i use 1 bottle a year. Just sort of treat my skin once a year. If you're a gal looking for instant gratification and dramatic change, this product might disappoint. But if you're looking to invest and treat your skin, this may help. -
