When received this palette courtesy of Sephora for our Holiday Tutorials, I was so excited! This eye palette is such a steal. It comes with 15 eyeshadows, 5 eyeliners and an eyelid primer. The payoff of all the eyeshadows are pretty pigmented. It comes with a variety of shades so you can create countless looks with the palette. I love how they include 5 different gel/cream liners. The colours are pretty intense as well. Everything is packaged nicely into a cute red box that includes a mirror. The kit also comes with 6 different looks card to help you achieve different looks. The only 2 downsides with this palette is that i wished it include some sort of mechanism to close the palette more securely rather than just the magnet. I'd want to travel with palettes like these but with a flimsy magnet to help the palette together, i'm afraid i may ruin the palette. Another thing is that i wished the palette had a few more matte shades (especially dark shades). Other the that, $40 is a steal! It makes such a great gift and also can also be a great addition to your own stash! -

I really love this nail polish. I was going to give in into buying Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday". When I saw Rainbow connection, i was super excited since it looks almost identical. I really like this nail polish! It's almost an exact dupe of "Happy Birthday". The color for a glitter nail polish is so unique. it has a mix of silver, green, orange, and yellow glitter. I used a base coat the first time i used it (a gold colour) and three coats of rainbow connection on top. I love the results! The glitter dries fast so you can apply a second coat right away and build the coverage of glitter. I think there are a lot of different ways you can wear this nail polish. I saw somewhere where they used a white base coat and put just a light layer of the glitter. I've had it for 3 days not and i hasn't chipped. A good tip for glitter polish is to apply quite a heavy base coat. If you apply the glitter directly onto bare nails, you'll have a really hard time removing it. I definitely recommend this nail polish if you're into glitter! -

I tried this Stila Brow Colour for our Make Up Transformation as well. I don't usually use liquid/felt tip eye brow colours, just because it reminds me of liquid eyeliners and I'm afraid that it'll dispense very pigmented colour all at once. But I was excited to try this. The tip of the applicator is very fine, which was really good for feathering on individual strokes to mimic real eyebrow hairs. I started from the inner part of my eyebrows and feathered on little hair strokes to achieve a filled in yet natural look. I then went over the sparse areas again. I think the colour was a bit light for me since I had to go over my brows a few more time than i'd like. But I do love the results. The product made me comfortable with felt tip eye brow colours. At the end of the day, my brow stayed put and looks just as nice as it did when i first applied it. I did however, rubbed it with my fingers just to see how it holds up. The colour did smudge a bit. Overall, I'm curious to try a deeper colour and to see how long the product will last for. I recommended this especially if you hard sparse eyebrows and want to have a product that can fake little hairstrokes that looks natural. -

This is the mascara i've been using for a while. I find that it works well. Lengthens and blackens my lashes quite nicely. One coat gives me a nice finish and two coats really gives my eyes drama. However, I find that if you apply more than two coats or apply thick coats, the mascara does get a little clumpy on your lashes and sometimes there are black fall outs. At this price, i barely buy any other more expensive brands of mascara now. -

This is my go to eyebrow pencil when I want to fill in my brows. I used to use powders and a lot of brown colours. I just decided one day that, since my natural hair colour is black anyways, I just fill in my brows accordingly (I know right? I didn't think of that earlier). So i went to Shoppers Drug Mart searching for one. I picked this one up and I really really enjoy it. You have to make sure you just featherlight brushstrokes when you're applying this. The product is quite pigmented and dark, so a hard hand can give you sharpie like eyebrows. I just blend everything together with a eye brow brush after I finish filling them it. I use very little and only apply in the little gaps I have on my eyebrow. This stuff stays on pretty well and the colour is a lot more natural than browns. The spooly brush on the back is also very handy. I will repurchase this when i run out. -

I really enjoy this top coat. There are countless combinations that you can do to change up the look of this top coat. I've done 2 coats over black, coral, red and maroon polishes and they all look great. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. The clear polishes adheres well to the sparkles and leaves a nice shiny, smooth finish. I highly recommend this top coat as it really transform your nail polishes and gives it a new interesting look. The best part is that even if i mess up my nails, the top coat camouflages any mistakes. -

This is my ultimate favourite body lotion. I used to not be much of a body lotion user... I hated that sticky feeling. But the climate in Canada can sometimes be really dry. My sister introduced me to this and she swears by it. I tried it and I instantly fell in love. The scent is lovely, fresh and light. And the lotion instantly absorbs right in, moisturizing your body without leaving a heavy film. This stuff is quite cheap and comes with a lot of product. I moisturize my body everyday now after the shower because of this! -

I love love love this stuff! One of my all time favourite concealers! I use this mainly for my undereyes. It covers really well and hides bluish dark circles because of the salmon/peachy undertones. When you first squeeze the concealer out, the concealer appears really really dark, but when you work it in your skin, it magically turns lighter and almost adjust to your skin tone. The consistency is very creamy, opaque and easy to work with. I have this in all the colours in my kit. A little also goes a long long long long way. The only con about this product is that, sometimes when you don't touch the product in a while, the liquids settles and when you squeeze, you get some really runny and watery product. My little trick is to shake it, and I also squeeze a dime size amount in a smaller jar and mix it a bit. Overall, i love this product. -

I stumbled across this product as a gift with purchase at the ysl counter. At first glance, I thought this was a product that would sting a bit and plump up my lips like other lip plumpers i've come across. But when i tried it, It was a smooth creamy lip balm/cream that smelled so good, like my ysl lipsticks. I instantly fell in love. I texture is very fine, and gives my lips a bit of sheen and suppleness. When i have really dry lips, I hate the feeling of applying lip balm and having the lip balm just sitting on top my my lips. This product does not just sit on top of the lips, Instead, it sinks right in, healing my dry chapped lips. I love the feeling every single time i use it. When i finished the little tube of gift with purchase, I instantly bought a new full-sized tube.
The price is very steep, but it also last me quite a long time. I think i will keep repurchasing this product and alternate it with my other lip balms.

I am a little on the fence about this. But if I have some extra cash lying around, this product is a good one to add to my kit. First off, this is not meant to be used as a concealer. This is a highlighter that mainly targets the undereye area, but can also be used to highlight other areas on your face. The colour itself is very light in colour and the consistency is rather running. When you swatch it on your hand, you can see really smooth and refine shimmer thats not chunky at all. I usually use this after my concealer, sometimes after my undereye setting powder. I first started to use my fingers to target the dark areas of my eyes but I found that using the side of a concealer brush, dabbing in the darker ridges is more effective. I find that the body heat from my fingers tend to heat up the products and moves my concealer underneath.
Now here's the con. I'm rather dark, so the color is a tad bight light for me when blended in. The price is also steep. I find that the product, when used right and carefully, works wonders. But it does take patiences and some practice to make it flawless.
Overall. This one tube has lasted me a long time. And I use it quite often. I'll repurchase if I want to treat myself to a little something something.
