I received this palette from Cargo as an advance PR sample. I am amazed by this palette. I have never tried Cargo Eyeshadows before but i was pleasantly surprised. This kit contains three cream shadow bases, five outer corner colors and five ‘pops’ of color, all in a pretty pink palette, perfect for spring. The colors go very well with each other and the combinations are endless. I've been pretty much stuck in a rut with my make up since i don't have much time in the morning to pick out different color and combos. But this kit totally does that for me.
Eyeshadow Base:
There are three eyeshadow bases: Sheer Nude, Shimmering Shell and Soft Beige. They are pretty runny compared to a lot of other bases i've used before. They spread easily and you really don't need a lot. I put a bit more than i should once and it sort of balled up. The bases also alter the color and hue of the shadow a little bit so you can play around with that. These bases are not my bases of choice but they still do what they're suppose to do - make your eyeshadow stay put.
Eyeshadow:
The vibrant shades are absolutely gorgeous. They're super pigmented and have great color payoff. They go on super smooth, even without the base. They do have a little bit of fall out but that doesn't bother me. The colors are fun. I think it's a great palette to invest in since you get a lot of product and you get to sample colors you usually don't get for a cheaper price. The "pop" colors are a little less pigmented but still works great.
My favourite part about it is that you can really mix and match the colors to create different looks. I also find that although the colors are a bit intimidating, you can still create some really neutral/office appropriate looks with it. The only thing that i would change with this palette is including a black eyeshadow. I use a darker/black eyeshadow to create dimensions almost always. Including a black eyeshadow will be great for toning down these shades or even creating a more dramatic look.
Overall, i love this product. I've been using it almost everyday since i received it. You also get a lot of product for the price, I won't be running out any time soon.

I came with with some ChickAdvisor Staff for their Bloor West Village Opening. Like Ali said, the concept of this Salon is pretty cool. It's bascially $30 in 30 Minutes Hair Style. The Salon is strictly wash, blow dry, style. You get to choose from a menu with 7 different hair styles. I chose a voluminous curls. I don't quite remember what it's called, but you'll see the name with a illustration of the style on the menu.
The sink was a little uncomfortable and the paper towels for drying was a bit strange (Apparently it's biodegradable) I especially enjoyed the conditioner as it gave my scalp a tingly, cooling effect. The stylist was really nice and tried to teach me tips and tricks on how to do my own on along the way. I came out with the most voluminous and full hair i've ever seen on myself. It was refreshing. I have to admin that my hair was a little over the top and curly at first, but after a while, it just fell into nicely. Even then, i've never had hair with such body so it felt different. But I did get compliments on my hair by a stranger.
What I love the most about this place is the ambiance and decor. Since they don't do cuts and color, the place was clean without hair all over the floor. Overall, i think this is a great option for when you need a blow out or just getting ready for a night out.

I received this product to review from L'Oreal. The main feature of this cleanser is "The Scrublet"... I was so intrigued by it that i couldn't wait to use it. The scrublet is surprisingly gentle, but it does a good job exfoliating. It makes my skin feel nice and soft without feeling too dry. The cleanser is for sensitive skin and does not have a fragrance. It does what a cleanser should do. It makes me feel clean. But keep in mind that i do remove my makeup before cleansing my face so i can't comment on the makeup removing aspects. This cleanser doesn't break me out or irritate my skin but i do find that it does dry my skin a little, not sure why. I use it maybe every other day, sometimes in the morning. It's a good basic cleansing that does what cleansers should do. -

I've had this since last year when i received this in a swag bag at an event. I've heard great things about it all along but never used it. I was actually very weary to try it because i have very fine and long hair and i thought the the oil would weight it down. Plus, i never use any products on my hair, so oil was almost like a huge no no. Well this past Friday at ChickAdvisor HQ, we had our fun friday at BLO salon and we all got our hair done. The stylist used this on my before styling and i got to say, even though they used a curling iron, my hair still felt pretty nice/soft. The smell was also amazing. So i finally decided to open that little bottle and try it on my freshly washed hair the next day. I used a nickel size amount of morrocan oil on my damp hair. Worked it in a little bit and just left it to dry while i did my make up. When my hair was pretty much dried, I was so amazed. Not only was my hair super duper soft and shiny, it was not oily at all. It didn't even weight my hair down. I was hooked and used it the next day.... and was addicted. So i finally went and bought a 120ml bottle.
The price is a bit hefty for a hair treatment because i never really spend anything on my hair. But judging from the amount i need each time, It'll take me a while to use it. My hair is not actually that dry, it's already pretty healthy already, so i think i may use this on alternate days. Overall, i definitely recommend this product, especially for people with hair on the dry side, this stuff is godsend.

I find this moisturizing pretty average. It does moisturize my skin well when my skin is not acting up. When my skin is on the dry and flaky side, this takes a while to work. I prefer to use this during summer since it's light and fresh. I do love the gel and fresh consistency. The skin absorbs it really quickly and it doesn't leave you feeling like an oil slick. Also, this moisturizing doesn't break me out. Overall, i'd recommend this moisturizing if you have normal to oily skin that doesn't need a lot of tlc. -

This is some awesome stuff! I don't even know how i ended up getting a product that is more towards anti-aging but i'm glad i did. The masque is orange and has a really thick creamy texture. I don't use it really often, only when i need. When my skin is blah, or i need a quick pick me up, this is the trick! It's especially great for winter since skin is on the dryer side and a bit dull. This is also great for the morning after a long night out... i don't know why but everybody seems to use this product after a night of drinking? My skin feels soft, revitalized and a little bit plumped afterwards. It makes make up application a breeze. I love it even more if i use it after a shower where my pores are sort of open and this can absorb all the vitamin goodies in it. Although this is a great product, i don't necessary recommend this product to very oily or acne prone gals, it's a bit thick and rich. But for dry or normal skin, this is great. This stuff is a bit pricy but it last a long time. -

I got this as a PR sample from ChickAdvisor. And i can't believe i haven't reviewed this product yet. I love love love this product. This is hands down the best "Your-lips-but-better" lipstick. The formula is so smooth and moisturizing that it almost feels like lip balm. The color is a really light/beige-ish neutral nude that is not too extreme. It's quite sheer but definitely build-a-ble. I can apply it without even using a mirror. I highly recommend this product for a slightly nude lipstick...it doubles as lip balm! -

This was my very first matte nail polish. I fell in love. The application can be a bit tricky since it dries literally in seconds (Which is also a great thing! i hate waiting for nail polish to dry). But once you get in the hang of application, it's pretty easy. I usually apply two coats. These polish, do not last nearly as long as regular nail polish, OPI made it very clear in the packaging. I also noticed that the 'matte' look wears off and turns a bit more 'shiny'. I think matte nail polish is really a trend thing. Although it doesn't last long, it also doesn't take long to apply. Overall, i love the look of this matte navy blue nail polish. If you're a gal that prefers a classic look or long lasting nail polish, this is for you. But otherwise, i'd definitely recommend it. -

This stuff does what it promises, provides long lasting lip color. I'm always skeptical of long lasting lip color, they are usually on the dry side and very tricky and uncomfortable. I bought this on sale and thought...why not? I was pleasantly surprised. The first step/color goes on very smoothly, applies evenly and is relatively light compared to other long lasting lip products. You do have to be careful when you apply so you don't smear any above your lip line. You then wait a minute for it to dry and apply the other layer. The top coat is amazing. It's smooth, tastes sweet and actually moisturizes my lips and keeps the base coat vibrant. I actually use this alone sometimes as a lip balm or combined with other dryer lipsticks. Last but not least, these babies do last through most of your day and meals. You can however, reapply the base coat if you desire. The only con is that the color range is not as good as some other brands, but a few of them are great colors. I love Brazen Raisin for a deeper burgundy color. Overall, this stuff stays put, doesn't dry my lips as much, has an easy to use formula and a great top coat. For under $10, it doesn't hurt to give it a try. -

I don't hate these, i don't love it but i barely, rarely use it. And on the occasion i actually use it, i wipe it off pretty quickly. Now, it would be wonderful if my lipstick can last all day, but with Pro Longwear, the tradeoff is uncomfortable dry-ish lips. When i wear this, I feel like the stuff on my lips are balling up and looking weird. I also find that the the gloss side is used up much faster (they do sell that part alone where you can attach) - but why not just include enough?. The pros though is that they have a wide range of colors. And i feel that if someone is blessed with super soft and moist lips, they can rock this no problem. Overall, i don't recommend this product for people with lips on the dryer side. -
