I think it's a great idea and it seems to work well. I really don't have any issues with it. For some reason, my cats just prefer to drink from a bowl...or a cup that's in the sink, waiting to be washed.

Downy Unstopables In-Wash Scent Boosters - FRESH
I love how good my laundry smells when I use these. The bottle lasts a long time because you don't need a lot per wash and the scent lasts on clothes for a while so even if I don't wear them right away they still smell good.
