I have pretty sever eczema and I pretty much have to live with it. It's all over the top portion of my palms and down my fingers, it's unsightly. Itchy. DRY oh so DRY.
SO! I use a special cream to help with irritation, but my skin is ridiculously DRY to the point that I sometimes can't bend my fingers. I love this cream though, it's saved my hands!
It's a little greasy, but it holds that moisture in that way. You can buy unscented (but it's not a bad smell!), which I don't bother with and it comes in a variety of sizes. I've seen it priced as low as 3 dollars and at Christmas you can buy the gift set at a great price and get all the sizes.
It's a great thick cream, absorbs within 5 min, and you feel the difference instantly. Your hands are SO soft and it really helps me with the eczema.

This product is great, you don't need a lot so I don't run out as fast, which makes my wallet happy, and one of my friends asked me the other day "since when do you buy 6 ply?" She was joking, but seriously, it feels like luxury.
I think it's a little pricey, but again, it lasts long and it's nice to use! *AHEM*
I have even used it as a quick kleenex substitute!
Never thought I'd be recommending toilet paper, but here it is! Try it out!

I keep my hair pretty short and I am really picky about how it looks. I don't like anything that looks remotely spikey and I don't want it to look flat either. I try hair waxes but I find they are to waxy and become heavy, or I try pastes but they give too much texture and I look like a 16 year old punk.
I explained to my hair stylist that I want to look like Halle Berry HELLO gorgeous. She used this dry wax spray and I get the cute/chic pixie look I was going for. You don't need a lot so spending a bit more money is worth it. Gives the right about of texture that looks natural and holds! OMG it's HOLDS. Smells GREAT too!
You can pick up this baby and virtually any salon and beauty boutique and varying prices.
Great for short hair, med bobs etc.

Located on St Clair West- West of Bathhurst, you'll find The Stockyards tucked in between many little restaurants and stores. This family friendly restaurant features comfort food and diner classics, as well as authentic wood smoked Carolina style BBQ. The first page of their site explains: "The Stockyards respectfully embraces traditional methods of dry curing, aging, and smoking that require time and patience."
Seating about 25 people at a time, this cozy diner is a lot of fun to visit with a friend or child. If you bring a younger one, they will certainly be entertained if you manage to score a seat over looking the cooks who fry, grill and sear your meal right in front of you. The drinks are served in old style bottles and the straws are even appealing! No liquor! You may have to wait to be seated anywhere from 2 to 10 min, but I can't see waiting longer then that. The food is quick, delicious, and people don't tend to hang around.
Fairly priced, you can have a meal consisting of a burgur, or sandwich, or wings in a combo with fries (Delicious!) and a drink and walk our paying 10 to 15 dollars. Definitely worth every penny!
There are no tables, just bar stools, and I would even wait to have a seat looking over the cooking area.
They provide take-out--no reservations.
The staff are friendly and the owner thanked us on our way out, many news clippings of his restaurant are posted on the entrance wall. There was no problem splitting my bill with my friend even though we asked for that at the end.
Really neat aesthetically, worth a try!

I was disappointed with this. I thought it was a good buy and I liked the smell. It goes on cool and has sort of a gel texture to it. I REALLY liked the smell, it was fresh and clean smelling. My skin instantly felt smoother--initially I was impressed. Next morning I had a small patch of bumps. Darn!
I do have sensitive skin but I didn't think that this over night cream would bother me. It's really too bad, I thought I made a good purchase. On to the next...

I went here for hot yoga as I have never tried it before and I was a little apprehensive about it being "hot". Was it going to be stuffy? Was I going to have trouble breathing? Was it going to stink?
I was presently surprised when I arrived, the front desk staff are VERY friendly and make conversation. it was about 19 dollars with tax for the Drop In lesson, but if you are a first timer you can buy an unlimited pass for one month for $40. I did the when I left as I really enjoyed the experience.
It's a small facility but it's very nice. The change room is small but really clean and lit well. No lockers. There are four shower stalls so when your session is over I would either book it out of there to get in first, or lay and relax and get back in the change room after the rush has gone. Or line up of course. The showers are clean and they provide a cleanser in the shower.
The actual room looks like it has bamboo floors and is brightly lit with natural light. This area is a corner unit so it's really bright. You can probably fit about 30-40 people, and that's a cosy space. There were probably 20-30 when I went and it wasn't that overwhelming. I would recommend going early on weekends or during the "work day" during the week if it's a first time, I can see it being too much what with the heat and the people there.
The heat is nice, it's warm and almost dry, not so much humid. But you sweat up a storm, I have never sweat so much in my life. So wear something you don't mind sweating in. Bring a towel to keep in the room and one to shower with. Bring water, they have water there but it's pricey. They also provide mats and towels if you don't have/or forgot one. I think you do pay for a mat, but it's cheap.
The instructor was great, I thought she would talk quieter to be honest, but I guess that's good so you can hear her instructions. She was warm and made a few jokes and offered challenging poses. I felt like I was doing things right as I felt exactly what she explained I should feel. and I saw her helping others.
I will go back again and use my pass. After I left I had already received and e-mail from them thanking me for coming and offering good advice for next time and encourage you to ask questions.
They offer massages at various prices, which I didn't try. Their website is helpful and has the schedules on there and it's easy to follow.
Really enjoyed myself and feel great! Positive room and staff.

I had been going to the same stylist up until I moved to Toronto which was about 6 months ago. During those 6 months I actually travelled an hour back home to just get my hair done--I was the nervous to have someone else do my hear!
I joined Chick Advisor well before moving here and read about Evoke and it DID make me think about possibly going there, but the thought of having my coifs screwed up make me shiver! But after that trip back to my stylist, I decided it didn't make sense, and I had to let him go ;'(
I hope he NEVER sees this because I am in LOVE! Evoke was the best thing that's happened to my head, actually---I should say Leslie was! I was not nervous after making my appointment, it's true what you read here from other ladies, the girl was polite on the phone and made me feel good about my choice.
You pick your stylist based on prince point. If you are not sure, just ask on the phone, or maybe say you would like to pick someone in the mid range. But I would pay mid or most $$$, it's worth it, it's your hair.
During the initial appointment call, I didn't specifically ask for Leslie, even though I did read one or two reviews on here specifically about her--I just figured what the hell, I read good things, I trust these people. And I got booked with her as per the suggestion of the receptionist on the phone. She assured me Leslie would make a point of taking a look at my face shape, what compliments it, and my hair type.
She did just that, I love it! The place is clean, tidy and very calming.
I read the receptionists were mean, I wouldn't say mean, I'd say they were BORED. Leslie was wonderful, I will be going back in 2 weeks for a complimentary clean up... love.
Other than that, I am satisfied, I will DEF go back, I recommend 100%, you are in GOOD hands.

I got this as a sample and I was really surprised with how my hair felt after: it felt thicker and smooth=healthy! It felt so soft and when my hair was dried-it fell beautifully. I will definitely go out and buy the whole size container, the sample lasted me for 2 uses, so I am sure the full size container will be worth the money. Definitely recommend if the winter is sucking your hair dry! -

It's perfect, and the pencil tip is fine enough and solid enough to go on smooth and makes it easy to follow the eyebrow line. Price is right too! -

Best self tanner I have EVER used. I am REALLY pale, and everytime I use a self tanner, I go a yellow tinge--not sexy!
I gave this a try because I couldn't find any other products out quite yet, and I was looking for the ingredient DHA, which is a sugar that creates a bronzed glow. There are different levels of DHA, so you have to read labels when you are out and about looking.
This product has a high level of 6% and it follows through with it's promise! I was a bronzed goddess, and NEVER have been before.
TIPS: REALLY need to exfoliate, as with any self tanner, but this one gives results instantly, you can for sure develop a darker tan by applying for 2 to 3 days, but it goes on dark and stays that way for about 2-3 days with no extra application.
GREAT if you are going away and would prefer not to be self tanning on the road. Just do some prep work a day or two in advance, depending on how dark you want to go.
It is for all ages, all skin types.
It's pricey, sitting at almost $40, but it is possible to find it cheaper. Try grocery stores. Bang for your buck, there is a lot in the bottle, I think the money is worth it.
AMAZING product.
