Anne Rice made me fall in love with vampires and Stephen King made me afraid of them. This is a great novel to read. I Remember watching the original movie and had nightmares from it. I have yet to watch the TV series which I hear is pretty frightening and disgusting. -

This book is such easy reading and Charmaine Harris is a good writer. I read this book in an hour as I could not put it down. The books are way better than the TV series which was made for an adult audience. This book as well as the others are made for teenage reading but I as a mature adult feel in love with this book and the rest of the series of novels. I was addicted to the TV series and was sad to see it end. -

I enjoyed the Twilight novels and was excited to read this book. I was hooked at the beginning and wanted to read more and by the middle of the book, I could not put it down. Unfortunately after that the chapters of this book dragged on so much that I had lost interest. I had put the book down to read others novels but I was determined to finish this one. Honestly, I just read the last chapter and the book is put away for good. This was a fail for me. -

My older sister had these novels and I would see her curled up on the bed or on the couch with her nose deep into the book. An avid reader I am, my teenage world was introduced to vampires and I became obsessed. I then understood my sister's reading obsession with these novels from Anne Rice. I loved all these novels. I enjoyed these books back when I was in 7th and 8th grade. There used to be a book mobile filled with books and it would drive up to the school a few times a week. I used to wait patiently for the van so I could enjoy reading all the Nancy Drew books. These books were full of mystery and suspense that kept me wanting to read more and of course the hardy boys were introduced. -
