I recently returned to Voluminous after a couple of years of using other products; this used to be my HG and when I caught it on sale in Shopper's at a time when I actually needed mascara I thought I'd reunite with an old favourite. But now...I kinda hate it. Ok I do have to take some responsibility because I bought this to serve as my daytime mascara when I just want my lashes to be lengthened and defined but not thicker, so buying something called VOLUMINOUS was not smart. However. I figured I would just endure having thick lashes for the month or however long it lasts. But two things about this mascara are really fretting me. One is that it is just waaaay too thick. Because I'm a cheapo, I don't just wipe the brush off on a tissue because it burns me to think of all the product I'm wasting. So I scrape it back into the tube and that alone takes me a good minute or two. There's sooo much to scrape off! It's just ridiculously thick in my opinion. The other thing is that it takes the curl out of my lashes. I always curl my lashes with a heated eyelash curler before putting on mascara and this just straightens them right back. I had a similar problem with Bad Gal so maybe it has something to do with whatever they put in mascara to increase volume. At any rate, this is still a very, very, good mascara, just not for me anymore. I doubt I'll repurchase when there are so many other kinds I still haven't tried... -

I mostly liked this product...I bought it after seeing that it made another reviewer's hair dry more quickly. My hair takes anywhere from 25 minutes to over an hour to blow dry so I'm ready for anything that helps. For reference I'm half-Indian half Black with very very curly hair that I stopped relaxing about two years ago. I used the LTR shampoo and conditioner (which I found very difficult to rinse out), then mixed a small amount of this with a bit of Joico Relaxing Balm and combed through with my fingers. Then I pulled through a small amount of BioSilk oil. It didn't make my hair dry any faster, but I did notice when I was flatironing it afterward that it was a lot straighter and less frizzy than it usually is. The only problem is that my hair was extremely limp and lifeless. Usually I get great body day one and day two after washing (I wash my hair every 3-4 days) but this time I looked like a drowned rat. I was not impressed. I think the root of the problem is one of two things; it may be because I put it all through my hair instead of just at the ends which is where I need extra moisture. or it may be because I wasn't able to rinse out all the conditioner and so there was just too much product. Next time I'm going to clarify my hair first, make sure I rinse out the conditioner, and apply this to my ends only and see how that turns out. -

It goes on nicely but I find it a little hard to spread - I guess it's because it's so thick. But it smells amazing and lasts longer than other glosses I've tried. I can't remember how I got this - either in a swap or someone brought it from the US for me but either way it was free so the price was right in my book. -

This is my new favourite gloss. I love the smell of it and I like that the applicator is a brush. I don't know how to describe the colour - I guess kind of a peachy nude? But I've been wearing it non-stop since I got it last weekend. I most often layer it over my HIP lip gloss in Coy (coppery-rusty colour) and sometimes put it on over MAC Hodgepodge lipliner but I have to make sure I really blend the lipliner to make sure I don't end up with that tragic dark liner-light lips look. I took one lippie off because this doesn't look good if I wear it alone, but other than that it's fab! -
