I used other cowash products in the past, but this is one of the best. A lot of girls in the Curly Girl community say this is a Holy Grail item, which was how I first heard about it. The price is amazing at only about $7-9 depending. I have been using this product for a couple weeks and have barely made a dent in it! The product leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated. Not to mention, it smells great! I would definitely recommend this product both for quality and price. -

After doing some CGM research a lot of people use the SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus line however it’s not recommended for wavy hair. As someone with hair anywhere from 2B-3A I wanted to find something more wavy. I had seen a lot about this line, however there were some reviews that stated it left their hair feeling dry. I have not had that experience however and I feel it does a great job of leaving my hair feeling clean. The smell kind of reminds me of a fake fruity scent but I don’t mind the scent. For $11 a bottle I’d say it’s a steal. -
This is one of my absolute favorite mascaras. I love the lash definition I get without it clumping. It lasts me throughout my 12+ hr shifts at work. The only downside is that sometimes the mascara flakes a little.

I use this with my Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation and it gives me great coverage. I use the concealer mostly to cover blemishes and around my eyes to cover my dark circles. This product works well to give me the coverage I need without needing to apply a lot. I also love the applicator. -

I typically look for a foundation that is long lasting with medium coverage. This foundation does both for me. It is available in wide range of shades. I found that just a little goes a long way with this product, which means I get a lot of use out of one container. It doesn't make my face feel oily or weighed down but still gives me the coverage I need. Occasionally if I put on too much I started to get a caked on look, but that's more of a user error than the product. The only downfall is the price, however I believe it is worth every penny. -

I decided to try the Unico Nutrition Crunch Bar as I wanted to find a tasty protein bar for while I'm at work or with workouts. I usually don't eat a lot of protein bars as I don't like the typical "protein" taste mixed with a chewy texture. At first, the taste was pretty good, it tasted like a brownie! However the more I got into the bar, the more it seemed chewy like any other bar, and by the end I was not impressed. It's like any other protein bar. -

I have 2B-2C low porosity hair and tried using this serum to control the wave/curl I get as well as to tame frizz. I was recommended this product by staff at the local Ulta. I am typically a shower and go type of person, so on days I work I would apply the serum with the praying hands method and plop while getting ready. After I'd take my hair out I'd scrunch some more and go. On non-wash days I would re-wet my hair and add as needed. If my wash day was on a non-working day I'd plop for about an hour and then dry with a diffuser. I found that my curl was more defined with the diffuser which wasn't a surprise, but both methods I still got a lot of frizz. If I tried to add a little more product it left my hair feeling dirty/greasy. I did have some days however where I did get a good combination of frizz control and curl definition without feeling too weighed down. Overall this product worked better than some others had, but for the price wasn't my favorite. I would probably need to utilize this product with something else. -

The Curvaceous Conditioner kept my hair smooth with a decent shine. My hair detangled nicely in the shower with it. I did use as a leave-in conditioner sometimes but I almost felt like it left my hair a little greasy at times. I used in conjunction with the Curvaceous Low Foam Cleanser which seemed to work well together. Overall I liked the conditioner but I didn't love it. It may just be the formula isn't the best for my hair type. The price was also a little steep in my opinion ($35 for 33 oz) but I also tend to be a "bargain shopper". The scent was nice! Not overbearing but still present. -

I only recently have started to have really curly/wavy hair, so I started researching what types of products would work best for styling my hair. I stumbled upon the Curly Girl method and identify as a self-proclaimed 2B-2C low porosity hair type. I found a lot of products that people swear by but wasn't completely sold on any. At my local Ulta store I was pointed in the direction of the Redken line and DevaCurl. I decided to try the low-foam cleanser with their conditioner. I went the low-foam route as I struggle with no-foam products.
I felt as if the cleanser did a great job of keeping my hair clean from build up. The low-foam provided a little more foam than I expected, but still not as much as a regular shampoo would. The only downside of the product was the price. I opted for the 33oz bottle which runs about $35. I tend to be more of a "bargain shopper" so for me this was a splurge. I don't know that I believe the cleanser was quite worth the price, however I did have a good experience with the product.
